Liverpool have blocked Andy Robertson’s January transfer move to Tottenham Hotspur.

It had looked as though the Scotland international was all set for a move to London.

However, an increasing injury list has seen Liverpool cancel the deal with just days of the window left.

The news comes as a major blow to under-pressure Tottenham manager Thomas Frank who is 7/2 in the Premier League sack race odds.

Anfield Injury Crisis Sparks Transfer U-Turn

The decision to block Andy Robertson’s Liverpool exit follows a bruising weekend for the Reds.

During Saturday’s last-ditch defeat by Bournemouth, defender Joe Gomez was forced off in the first half.

He joins Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni on the treatment table. With Ibrahima Konate also absent due to personal reasons.

Therefore, defensive options have worn thin for struggling Arne Slot.

While Robertson has lost his starting left-back spot to summer signing Milos Kerkez this season, his versatility and experience are now viewed as indispensable for the remainder of the campaign.

Speaking after the Bournemouth clash, Slot made his stance clear.

He said: “I think I need all of my players. The last thing we need right now is another injury. I have to manage the squad because there are a lot of games to be played.”

Tottenham’s Search for Experience Thwarted

The news comes as a significant blow to Tottenham who were keen on signing the two-time Premier League winner.

Thomas Frank had identified Robertson as a key addition to bring “much-needed experience” to his leaky defence.

The defender is out of contract at the end of the season and the move was seen as a way of receiving some money for a club legend.

Robertson’s Professionalism Amid Uncertainty

Despite being in contract limbo, Andy Robertson has not agitated for a move.

He has only featured four times this season but teammate and captain Virgil van Dijk wants the Scot to stay.

Van Dijk said: “He’s my vice-captain. Robbo is a very important member of our team and I want him to stay.”

What Next for Robertson and Spurs?

While the January window appears closed for Robertson, his long-term future remains a talking point.

With his contract winding down, a free transfer in the summer remains a high probability, with Tottenham likely to remain among the interested parties.

For now, Liverpool are exploring the possibility of recalling Kostas Tsimikas from his loan spell at AS Roma to provide further cover.

Liverpool fans will see the retention of a club legend as a win for squad depth, but for Tottenham it’s more bad news.

Tottenham Beer Prices As Fan Favourite IPA To Remain On Sale

Tottenham Beer Prices As Fan Favourite IPA To Remain On Sale - Sportscasting
Description

Tottenham beer prices may be more expensive than most teams in the Premier League, but fans are relieved to learn their favourite tipple will remain on sale in 2025-26.

Spurs recently announced a new deal with Molson Coors Beverage Company.

The long-term partnership will see a host of new beers and ciders on offer at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

New beverages will include Pravha, Coors, Madri, Rekorderlig and Cobra.

In a statement, Spurs said: “Tottenham Hotspur is delighted to announce a long-term partnership with Molson Coors.

“The partnership further strengthens Molson Coors’ commitment to supporting the best sports and music venues across the UK.

“Alongside Pravha, the partnership will see the introduction of a refreshed range of beverages throughout the stadium.

The move continues a summer of reorganisation at Tottenham after Spurs announced a double departure in a major backroom shake-up.

But while the new range of drinks means more options for fans, others have been worried it could spell the end of a fan favourite.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Beer List Retains Neck Oil

Popular session IPA, Neck Oil, has been on sale at Spurs’ ground in recent years.

Made by Tottenham-based brewery Beavertown, Neck Oil is known for its ‘light, zingy taste’ and has become a favourite tipple for many Spurs supporters.

But the new supplier deal meant fans had feared Neck Oil might soon disappear from Spurs’ stadium bars.

One user said on Instagram: “We’ve gone from Heineken and Neck Oil to Madri and Coors.

“Like swapping Romero for Kurt Zouma.

But Beavertown was quick to quell any fears, replying to the concerned fan.

Via their official Instagram, Beavertown said: “Neck Oil is still there.

“The cats are safe.”

The latter part of Beavertown’s reply is a cheeky reference to former West Ham defender Zouma.

In 2022, the Frenchman was sentenced to 180 of community service after pleading guilty to kicking and slapping his cat.

But Spurs fans can rest assured that while there won’t be any worried cats in the stadium, Neck Oil will continue to be served at the ground.

However, the bookies don’t seem to think Spurs’ excellent beer offerings will encourage the team to glory next season.

Tottenham Beer Prices Far Cheaper Than Arsenal’s

Although by no means having the most expensive pints in the Premier League, Spurs continue to charge more than most at their bars.

According to the latest available figures, the cost of a pint at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is £5.10.

This is the seventh-highest price of all 20 Premier League clubs.

But that figure is still far cheaper than that of Tottenham’s North London rivals.

Arsenal have the most expensive beer prices in the Premier League.

As of last season, the Gunners charged an eye-watering £6.35 on average for a pint of beer at the Emirates Stadium.

Comparatively, Manchester United had the cheapest beer in the league, at £3 per pint for some beers.

But with United racing against time to shift £150 million of unwanted talent, they may need to up those prices to raise transfer funds.

Tottenham Kit Prices Leave Fans Stunned Ahead Of New Season - Sportscasting
Description

Spurs supporters cannot believe how much they are being charged as the Tottenham kit prices are confirmed for 2025-26.

Football fans up and down the country have been eagerly awaiting the release of next season’s kit.

Some will be desperate to purchase their side’s latest strip, while others just want to make sure the players look the part on the field.

But for some fans, the cost of football shirts is becoming prohibitive.

And few sets of fans can feel harder done by than those supporting Tottenham.

While Tottenham announcing Thomas Frank as manager may have got supporters excited, the club’s replica kit costs certainly haven’t.

Spurs launched their new away kit this week, with fans incredulous about the price tag.

Tottenham Kit Prices Leave Fans Stunned

The cost of Tottenham’s new kit has left plenty of fans unhappy.

For a standard adult replica shirt, Spurs are charging £85 for both men’s and women’s kits.

The long-sleeved option will set fans back £95, while even junior shirts cost as much as £65.

But it’s the ‘elite’ version of the shirt that’s really got people talking.

Made to the exact specifications of players’ match-worn kit, the elite shirt costs £125, before adding any extras.

As this fan pointed out, adding a name and number to the elite shirt brings the price up to a staggering £151.

And he isn’t the only Spurs fan furious with the club’s greed.

One fan said: “And they wonder why so many use Chinese fakes! Like the TV for Football absolute rip off!”

“I’d want to start a match for that price,” quipped another.

A third added: “Fans should boycott based on those prices. It’s a joke! You won’t ever inflict change by keep paying those prices!

Tottenham Home Kit 2025-26

Earlier in June, Tottenham revealed their 2025-26 home shirt.

Unsurprisingly, the traditional white with blue accents is back once again.

In a slight change from last season, the blue shoulder panels run down under the arms, while the badge and Nike logo have been moved centrally.

Front-of-shirt sponsor AIA continue to take pride of place on this year’s kit.

But a lot of Spurs fans are less than impressed.

“Worst kit of my supporting lifetime, I look forward to the day we move away from Nike,” said one fan.

Another said: “Don’t like it at all, badge in the centre does not work, too much blue and grey, looks like a dodgy t-shirt!”

Tottenham Away Kit 2025-26

But while Spurs’ home kit hasn’t gone down well, the away kit has received better reviews.

Tottenham launched their all-black strip this week, with the tag-line ‘in darkness we dare’ – a reference to Tottenham’s ‘To Dare Is To Do” motto.

Supporters have mostly been positive in response to the black kit.

“One of the best away kits ever hands down,” summarised one fan.

Another said: “Love the kit , one of the nicest in years in fact!”

And a third simply added: “Masterclass.”

But at £150 for the top-end version and customisation, it remains to be seen how many Spurs fans are willing to part with so much money to own it.

They will at least hope to see some new signings in it, though.

Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with an impressive 2-1 win over Manchester City on Wednesday, and you can find the full match highlights below.

Spurs Advance To Quarter-Finals With Narrow Win Over City

Dubbed the fixture of the round by many, Premier League leaders Manchester City headed to the English capital to take on Tottenham in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday evening.

City came into the tie off the back of five successive victories in all competitions, beating Southampton 1-0 at the weekend, while Spurs fell to a bitterly disappointing 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last time out.

Ange Postecoglou’s side had an opportunity to bounce back against the Cityzens on Wednesday though, and they got off to a perfect start, with Timo Werner netting his first goal of the campaign to put the hosts ahead after five minutes.

This is when Manchester City began to wake up, and just as Spurs thought they held a two-goal advantage heading into the midway point, Mateus Nunes delivered a hammer blow, halving the deficit seconds before the half time whistle.

Credit to the hosts, they came back out and defended resolutely, denying Pep Guardiola’s side a leveller, and booked their place in the quarter-final draw after maintaining their one-goal lead in the second half.
