GiveMeSport report that Tottenham will turn their attention toward another six player sales this summer once Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s move to Marseille goes through.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Marseille

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg appears close to a Tottenham exit, having been spotted in Marseille this week and getting the ‘here we go’ seal of approval from Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs will reportedly receive up to €20m for the Denmark international and have even inserted a sell-on clause into the deal with the French club (Michael Bridge).

But Hojbjerg is by no means the last player to leave Hotspur Way this summer, with Tottenham having their eye on a potential six further outgoings.

Tottenham want six more summer sales

GiveMeSport report that Spurs want to turn their attention toward finding suitors for Giovani Lo Celso, Emerson Royal, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Bryan Gil and Richarlison this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The report claims that Emerson Royal’s move to AC Milan has hit a roadblock, while Lo Celso could potentially swap London for Birmingham and join Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

Richarlison will have a chance to leave but only if Spurs can get the vast majority of their £60m investment back, while Bryan Gil is said to want a permanent exit due to a lack of game time.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think Tottenham could raise around £100m or so with all of these sales, which would be a huge boost to Ange Postecoglou and his available funds.

The only thing I would say is that, if Spurs aren’t going to sign another right-back, then Djed Spence is surely worth a go as the second-choice behind Pedro Porro this season.

Report: Harry Kane is set to miss reunion with Tottenham in South Korea

Description

Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has confirmed that Harry Kane will miss a Tottenham reunion in South Korea next month.

Tottenham vs Bayern Munich in Seoul

Tottenham take on Bayern Munich in a pre-season friendly on August 3 in Seoul as part of their tour of Japan and South Korea this summer.

When it was announced, the fixture was obviously billed as a Harry Kane derby, as he was due to face off against his boyhood club for the first time ever.

However, it appears that reunion will have to wait for a later date, as Kane won’t even be part of the Bayern Munich squad that travels to Seoul for the fixture against Spurs.

Harry Kane to miss Tottenham clash

Harry Kane was perhaps always unlikely to play against Spurs on August 3, with England going into the European Championships as one of the favourites.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Three Lions captain was due some holiday following his appearance in the final of the competition, with England falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Spain.

Kompany said in his press conference this week (ESPN): “Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano and Kingsley Coman won’t be there, but then hopefully for the first cup game.”

Fortunately, Kane will have another chance to face off against Spurs, with a second friendly fixture scheduled for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 10.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I assume the whole reason Tottenham organised two friendlies with Bayern was because Harry Kane was always likely to miss the first due to his European Championship duties.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed that two players have been given special permission to miss the club’s pre-season tour in order to explore potential transfers away.

Tottenham Hotspur are heading to Asia

The Tottenham squad boarded a flight to Asia today ahead of their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, where they will play Vissel Kobe, K League All Stars, and Bayern Munich from Saturday onwards.

The club took to social media to announce their official squad for the trip today, but there were some notable absences from the flight.

A mixture of injuries, international duty, and potential transfers away means seven players miss out on the club’s pre-season tour.

Reguilon and Bryan Gil are likely to leave Spurs

Tottenham confirmed that both Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil would remain in Europe in order to explore potential transfers away from the club this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Fraser Forster is seemingly the only player to miss out on the trip through injury, staying behind at Hotspur Way to undergo rehabilitation on his fractured foot.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo Bentancur, Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have all been granted extended holiday periods after they competed in the Euros and Copa America this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Tottenham are finally having a good old clear-out this summer, and it is much needed. (It also should have been done at least 12 months ago).

Hopefully, Gil and Reguilon can both secure good moves in the coming weeks. I would expect Spurs to try and get around £10m for both of them.

The Tottenham Hotspur players and staff have today boarded their flight to Japan to begin their tour of Asia.

Tottenham have flown to Japan to continue their pre-season

The North Londoners have started their pre-season preparations well with a behind-closed-doors victory against Cambridge United which was followed up with respective wins against Hearts and QPR.

Tottenham will kick off the Asian leg of their tour with a fixture against J League outfit Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium on Saturday.

Vissel Kobe are currently in fourth place in the table in the Japanese top flight and head into the match against Spurs on the back of a 3-3 draw at home to Nagoya last weekend.

Following the match, Ange Postecoglou‘s side will travel to South Korea for a double-header with both fixtures having already been sold out.

Led by South Korean captain, Heung-min Son, Spurs will first face Team K League on Wednesday 31st July at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, before playing Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the same stadium three days later.

Frustratingly, Tottenham have not been able to get any more signings over the line to at least start the pre-season trip to give them plenty of time to adjust to Postecoglou’s methods and also to create bonds within the first-team squad.

Report: Tottenham name their price to sell Richarlison this summer

Description

The Times report that Tottenham have named their price to any Richarlison admirers this summer as Ange Postecoglou continues his North London rebuild.

Richarlison could be on the way out of Tottenham

Richarlison has been linked with a potential Tottenham exit all summer, with the vast majority of reports stating that a move to Saudi Arabia is on the cards for the Brazilian number 9.

GiveMeSport say that Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah are interested in signing the Tottenham striker, while Saudi Arabian outlet Ariyadhiah added Al-Ahli to the list of admirers this week.

In fact, Saudi dealmakers are reportedly ready to offer close to £60m in an attempt to lure the former Everton man over to the Saudi Pro League this summer (GiveMeSport).

Tottenham name their price for Richarlison

It turns out that Tottenham also have a similar figure in mind for Richarlison, if they are to part ways with their senior striker over the coming weeks. £60m is the price tag being quoted by The Times today.

MORE SPURS STORIES

That also happens to be the figure Tottenham parted with to sign Richarlison from Everton back in 2022, so it seems the North Londoners have their eye on at least recouping that fee (ESPN).

Interestingly, HITC report that Richarlison has given the green light to a Saudi Arabia move, despite previously stating his intention to remain in England (Instagram story – May 28, 2024).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I can understand why Tottenham would want to get their money back for Richarlison, but it would be foolish to pretend his value hasn’t dropped a little in the past two years.

The only way Spurs would indeed get £60m for the Brazilian is if a Saudi Arabian club came in for him.

Report: Tottenham midfielder has already undergone medical ahead of loan exit

Description

The Tottenham Hotspur academy has started to produce a steady conveyor belt of talent over the past year which looks promising for the future of the club.

Midfielder has undergone a medical at Barnsley

Breaking into the Tottenham first-team squad is certainly not an easy task for an academy player, let alone a signing from another club.

While the likes of Mikey Moore and Jamie Donley were handed their Premier League debuts by Ange Postecoglou, many others are knocking on the door to be considered to make the step up including Tyrese Hall, Will Lankshear and George Abbott.

Matthew Craig already has one Premier League appearance under his belt when he was handed a late cameo by interim boss Ryan Mason on the final day of the 2022/23 season at Leeds United.

The midfielder joined Doncaster Rovers on loan in January of last year to get a regular taste of first-team football and helped the League Two side to reach the play-offs, only to suffer a penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Crewe Alexandra.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Matthew Craig is set for loan move to Barnsley

Craig looks set to head out on loan again this summer with Barnsley said to be keen on giving the 21-year-old the chance to play in League One (Football Insider).

The report claims that Barnsley have moved quickly to secure the services of the highly-rated youngster, who was also wanted by other clubs and has already undergone his medical.

SpursWeb Opinion

A step up to League One will certainly help to advance Craig’s footballing experience after having a taste of League Two last season.

Given the intense competition for places at Tottenham and the varying standard of Premier League 2 football, another loan move is certainly the best decision for his future.

Tottenham striker Richarlison is a top target for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, according to Ariyadhiah which is the biggest newspaper dedicated to to football in Saudi Arabia.

Could Richarlison move to Saudi Arabia?

This is not the first time Richarlison has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer. GiveMeSport reported recently that both Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah are interested in signing the Tottenham striker.

Richarlison himself posted on his Instagram story back on May 28th that he intended to remain in England for the 2024/25 Premier League season, but reports indicate that may have changed.

HITC reported this week that Richarlison has given the green light to a potential Saudi Arabia move, and Saudi dealmakers are said to be prepared to offer close to £60m (GiveMeSport).

Al-Ahli enter the race for Richarlison

Ariyadhiah have now thrown a new name into the ring for Richarlison, with Al-Ahli said to be interested in the Brazilian forward this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Richarlison struggled to stay fit in the Premier League last season, but still managed to record an impressive 12 goals in 31 games for the Lilywhites.

It remains to be seen whether one of these three Saudi Arabian clubs actually backs up their interest with a meaningful bid for the former Everton man in the coming weeks.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think if Tottenham were offered £50m-£60m, they would sell Richarlison this summer.

That kind of money could be reinvested back into a new centre-forward or even a big-money signing like Eberechi Eze, which would be valuable for the Postecoglou rebuild.

Club insider reveals how many signings Spurs are hoping to make in the next five weeks

Description

Club insider, Paul O’Keefe, who regularly breaks news relating to Tottenham, has revealed how many more signings we could see between now and the end of the transfer window.

Tottenham made a few signings already

Although the Euros and Copa America have potentially hindered clubs in making early transfer moves this summer, Tottenham have still added to their squad from last season.

The most notable addition comes in the form of young Archie Gray, who was signed from Leeds United for £30m following his breakthrough season in the Championship last year (BBC).

Spurs also extended their loan of Timo Werner for another 12 months from RB Leipzig, while Swedish starlet Lucas Bergvall has also joined up with the squad following his February transfer and subsequent loan.

Tottenham want three more signings this summer

Paul O’Keefe has now revealed that Tottenham hope to make a potential three additional signings before the transfer window slams shut this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs are apparently looking to ‘accelerate’ these signings now that pre-season is well and truly underway, although O’Keefe did not reveal which positions will be targeted.

The club insider also mentioned that Giovani Lo Celso’s Tottenham exit is not advanced, despite Spurs trying hard to find the Argentine a new club this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Another three signings would be fantastic for Tottenham and Postecoglou ahead of the new season.

If I could choose, I would go for a new striker, a new number six, and either a back-up winger or a back-up left-back to improve the depth of the squad.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed that the club have turned down the chance to sign a former Manchester United player.

No Tottenham move for Anthony Martial

O’Keefe has taken to social media platform X to disclose that Tottenham were offered the opportunity to land Anthony Martial, however, they have no interest in the Frenchman.

Martial arrived at Old Trafford from AS in 2015 and scored 90 goals, 63 of which in the Premier League in 317 games for the Red Devils during his time with the club.

The 28-year-old has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and had not been in the United squad for the last few months of last season, which saw him leave the club as a free agent in June following the expiration of his contract.

Sky Sports News revealed at the end of May that Martial was attracting interest back in his homeland including Lyon, where the he began his career, and Marseille.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs were offered Martial

Martial is yet to put pen to paper with a new club following his exit from United, however, he does not look to be on his way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

SpursWeb Opinion

Martial is not the right fit for Tottenham, his injury record has been far from ideal and the wage he is likely to wish to command as a free agent would only exacerbate this.

He has always given off the impression that he is not a good fit for the dressing room which Ange Postecoglou is continuing to shape in N17.

Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to dip into the transfer market to try to go some way towards replacing Harry Kane.

Tottenham are on the search for a striker

The Spurs club record goalscorer decided to swap North London for Bayern Munich on the cusp of the start of the 2023/24 Premer League season last summer and his absence has seen a number of names linked with a potential arrival.

Football Insider are claiming that Tottenham are continuing to keep an eye on Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Spurs are still keeping tabs on Dominic Solanke

Last season, an in-form Solanke scored 19 goals and registered three assists in 38 Premier League outings, which was his best return in the English top flight (transfermarkt).

The BBC reported last week that the Bournemouth striker has a £65m release clause in his contract that can only be activated by certain clubs.

MORE SPURS STORIES

SpursWeb Opinion

Tottenham simply cannot risk to spend big money on Solanke on the back of one decent season, he needs to score 15+ goals across multiple Premier League campaigns in order to warrant the sort of fee which the Cherries want.

Instead, a move for Ivan Toney who could end up costing less money due to a lack of interest from other clubs and the fact he is Premier League-proven across more than one season makes him a better candidate.
