CaughtOffside reveal the fee it would take for Tottenham Hotspur to secure Georgiy Sudakov from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Tottenham’s interest in Georgiy Sudakov

Sudakov is widely seen as one of the best young attackers in Europe and in light of his impressive displays in the Champions League this season, a number of clubs now appear to have their eye on his development.

This includes Tottenham, with Football Insider stating earlier this week that the Lilywhites are doing their ‘due diligence’ on the 22-year-old ahead of the January window.

A few days ago, TuttoJuve also confirmed Spurs’ interest in the Shakhtar man but they suggested that Ange Postecoglou‘s men will have to battle Arsenal for the player’s services.

How much would Sudakov cost?

CaughtOffside have now claimed that the race for Sudakov is heating up, with the two North London sides joined by Liverpool, Newcastle and Aston Villa.

All these clubs have allegedly scouted the attacking midfielder this season and it is suggested that a bidding war may ensue for his services.

The outlet states that it would take a fee of around €65m (£54m) to convince the Ukrainian side to part ways with their star player.

January move or next summer?

The report suggests that many of these clubs might be plotting a move at the end of the season rather than during the winter transfer window.

The same information was also carried by the aforementioned report in Football Insider, which remarked that Shakhtar would make any deal difficult in January.

Jose Mourinho expected to make move for Tottenham player in January

Description

According to 90 min, Jose Mourinho is expected to try and take one of his former Tottenham players to Fenerbahce in January.

Out-of-favour Tottenham man on his way to Turkey?

There are no prizes for guessing that the player mentioned in the report is Sergio Reguilon, who was brought to Spurs from Real Madrid by Mourinho back in 2020.

The Spaniard has not featured for Tottenham for two and a half years, with his last appearance coming all the way back in April 2022.

The left-back has since had spells loan spells at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford, and he is evidently not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans in North London.

Jose Mourinho wants to raid Spurs

The Portuguese coach is said to be keen on adding reinforcements to his backline and is expected to raid his former club for the out-of-favour left-back.

The report does not say how much Fenerbahce would have to pay for Reguilon, who would only have six months left on his contract at Spurs in January.

Do Tottenham need reinforcements at left-back

While Reguilon’s exit from Spurs appears inevitable, it would be interesting to see if the Lilywhites decide to add another left-back to their squad in January.

Description

It is no exaggeration to say that Tottenham Hotspur currently have one of the most exciting teenagers in world football on their books, so just who is Mikey Moore?

Ange Postecoglou has been keen to develop a very young squad since he arrived at Tottenham, and Mikey Moore is the youngest player he has used to date.

Many expect the teenage talent to go on to do amazing things in his career, and the fact he is already a part of Tottenham’s first-team squad says a lot about just how special he is.

Here’s all you need to know about Mikey Moore, from his role on the pitch, to his career at club level and international level, to his market value and salary.

Mikey Moore’s position explained

Mikey Moore predominantly plays as a winger, most commonly on the left-hand side, where he is able to cut inside onto his preferred right foot.

He can also play out wide on the right, or through the middle in a number 10 playmaker role, if needed. The youngster has also played more directly as a striker in the past, but his best position is certainly out wide on either wing.

Mikey Moore’s Spurs career so far

After being invited to train with the first-team squad back in April of 2023 Moore never looked back, impressing Postecoglou and earning his Premier League debut as a result.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Moore has developed through the ranks at Spurs via the academy and the youth teams. When it became clear he was ready for bigger things, Postecoglou kept Moore close to the senior squad at the end of last season, through the summer, and into this new campaign.

He made his senior debut for Spurs against Manchester City, with a one minute substitute appearance on May 14, 2024. Moore got another couple of minutes against Sheffield United on the final day of the 2023/24 season.

Moore had been prolific for the Tottenham Under-18s team, registering 25 goal contributions in just 14 games during the 2024/24 sesason. This term, he has moved up to the Under-21s team, but still frequents Postecoglou’s matchday squad — he even played the full 90 minutes of the Europa League win over Ferencvaros.

After his full debut, Postcoglou told Football.London how happy he was with his young star, saying: “He’s got so much growth and he wants to learn. I couldn’t be happier with him and I’m very pleased that he’s part of our football club.”

James Maddison has also been full of praise for his teammate, telling Football.London: “I have to sometimes pinch myself and remember how young he is. He’s 17 and came into the group when he was 16. He’s a man already. When I watch him play, he’s very powerful and only going to get stronger as his body grows.

“He’s a great kid. A really well-mannered, polite young man and that’s a credit to his parents. That’s the first thing you look to as a senior player. And then there’s that ability which we see in training all the time and the Spurs fans want to see more of.”

Mikey Moore’s market value and salary

Mikey Moore was finally given his first value on Transfermarkt recently, though the site’s data claims he is worth just €1m (equivalent to £835,000).

Any Spurs fan will tell you Moore is worth far more than that. It’s hard to put an actual value on a young player like this, given that most of his price tag would be based on his immense potential.

Moore signed his first professional contract with Spurs upon turning 17 back on August 11, 2024. His exact wage is unknown but he is thought to have been offered more than any other player of his age at the club before (The Athletic).

Mikey Moore’s Personal details and social media

Mikey Moore is 17-years-old, having been born on August 11, 2007. He was born in London, England, and was raised as a Tottenham fan.

He is 1.80m tall, and weighs 75kg. Generally speaking, Moore has quite a slight frame, but for his age, he is fairly robust.

Moore has an Instagram account with 100,000 followers, and a Twitter/X account with almost 30,000 followers. He is fairly active on both platforms.

Mikey Moore is an England star in the making

Just as he has done at club level, Mikey Moore has shot up through the different age groups for England, and currently turns out for the Under-19s squad.

He made his debut for the Under-15s in April 2022, but just four caps and four months later he was joining up with the Under-16s. Moore earned 15 caps at that level, scoring seven goals.

Moore enjoyed a terrific European Championships with the Under-17 side in May 2024, scoring four goals in four games and bagging an assist as the Three Lions made it to the quarter-finals.

He has since featured in the last five friendlies for the Under-19s across September and October, registering one goal and one assist.

How much Real Madrid need to bid to sign Pedro Porro from Tottenham

Description

It has now been revealed how much Tottenham Hotspur would expect Real Madrid to pay for the services of Pedro Porro.

Pedro Porro top of Real Madrid’s list

Several outlets over the past couple of weeks have talked up Madrid’s interest in Porro and GiveMeSport have now become the latest to report on the matter.

They say that the Tottenham man is attracting ‘genuine attention’ from Los Blancos, and that his pace, versatility and attacking prowess have caught their eye.

The 24-year-old is allegedly seen as a ‘perfect addition’ to Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who view him as someone who would easily fit into their high-tempo style of play.

Tottenham open to Porro’s sale

GiveMeSpot claim that Spurs would be willing to cash in on Porro, but only if they can make a significant profit on the £39m they spent on the right-back two years ago.

The report makes it clear that Tottenham are not actively looking to sell the former Sporting Lisbon man and that Real Madrid have to make a ‘big investment’ to sign the defender.

The publication suggests that with Djed Spence now tied down to a new contract, an offer upwards of £60m would be needed for Madrid to get their hands on Porro.

Contradictory suggestion also made

However, this update from GiveMeSport, contradicted what we heard from TBR Football on Thursday, who suggested that Spurs are determined to keep Porro off Madrid’s clutches.

In fact, it was asserted that even though the right-back’s current deal runs until 2028, the Lilywhites are already making plans to offer the defender another long-term contract.

Dejan Kulusevski's stats against West Ham show how important he is to Spurs

Description

Dejan Kulusevski proved instrumental in Tottenham’s emphatic 4-1 win over West Ham United, playing a pivotal role in Spurs’ comeback after an early scare from their London rivals.

Tottenham battle back after early West Ham strike

The match began with West Ham United capitalising on Tottenham’s brief lapse in concentration, as Mohammed Kudus opened the scoring for the visitors in the 18th minute. It was a moment of sharp attacking play from the Hammers, with Kudus finishing a neat pull-back from Jarrod Bowen, following a relentless press down Tottenham’s right flank.

Pedro Porro’s failure to track Kudus provided the space needed for the Ghanaian to beat goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from close range. This goal, despite giving West Ham an early lead, sparked Tottenham into action as the hosts responded with an intensity that quickly shifted the momentum in their favour.

Tottenham spent much of the first half pushing for the equaliser, missing several clear chances, including a close-range header by Brennan Johnson in the 28th minute.

However, it was Dejan Kulusevski who eventually restored parity just before half-time. Picking up a perfectly weighted pass from James Maddison, the Swedish winger cut inside on his left foot and fired a precise shot that ricocheted off both posts before nestling into the net. His cool composure under pressure laid the foundation for what would become a dominant second-half performance for the Swede.

Kulusevski sparks second-half dominance

Dejan Kulusevski’s contributions were vital to Tottenham’s victory, not just with his equalising goal, but also with his all-around performance that kept West Ham on the back foot for most of the match.

His match stats speak for themselves, with the Swede posting an impressive FotMob rating of 8.5, completing 29 out of 35 passes for an accuracy rate of 83%.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Kulusevski had four shots in total, two of which were blocked, and showed his attacking intent with seven touches inside West Ham’s penalty area.

His ability to create chances and move the ball into dangerous areas was evident in his two chances created and four passes into the final third, which highlighted his role as Tottenham’s key playmaker on the day.

Kulusevski also won 100% of his tackles, recovered the ball eight times, made five defensive actions, won eight duels, and won three free-kicks – and all of that with just 59 touches of the ball.

Kulusevski’s growing influence

This performance adds to a string of impressive displays for the Swedish international, whose importance to Ange Postecoglou’s system is becoming more apparent as the season progresses.

Although Son Heung-Min and James Maddison often receive the plaudits for their creativity, Kulusevski is quietly carving out a reputation for being the one to deliver when it matters most.

Whether it’s through scoring, assisting, or playing the critical pass before the assist, Kulusevski is proving himself to be a vital cog in Tottenham’s attacking unit.

As the team pushes towards a top-four finish, his contributions, both in terms of numbers and intangible qualities, will likely be central to their success.

Ange Postecoglou gives his review of Tottenham's 4

Description

Ange Postecoglou insists that he was pleased with his side’s first-half showing against West Ham but confessed that they did not have it easy in one area.

Morale-boosting win for Spurs

To get the critics off his back, Postecoglou needed a convincing win in the London derby on the back of his side’s poor second-half showing against Brighton, and that is exactly what the Spurs players delivered.

The game did not start off the way the Australian would have wanted as the away side opened the scoring and frustrated the Lilywhites with a low block.

However, things started clicking into gear for Tottenham mid-way into the first half, and they absolutely blew the Hammers away at the start of the second period, emerging with a comfortable 4-1 win.

Ange Postecoglou’s admission

Postecoglou insisted that he did not think there was too much wrong with his side’s showing in the first period, but he confessed that it was a real arm wrestle in the middle of the park.

He remarked that his side went up a gear once they got more control in the middle of the park following the introduction of Pape Sarr at the interval.

When asked if he was pleased with Tottenham’s second-half display, Postecoglou told Football.London: “It was very good. Even in the first half, we had to work pretty hard, it was a bit of an arm wrestle. They’re a big, physical team and you have to match them in certain areas.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Obviously disappointing to concede but we worked our way back into the game and had some good chances in the late first half and got our rewards for it.

“Second half we went up a gear and again I thought our football was excellent but we did some of that hard stuff we needed to do to gain control, particularly in the midfield area and it gave us a good platform.”

Substitution made the difference

Some Spurs fans might have been bewildered by Postecoglou’s decision to replace James Maddison with a more defensively-minded player in Sarr.

However, the Senegalese star’s introduction allowed the Lilywhites to win possession back in the middle of the park on a number of occasions, thus leaving the Hammers’ backline exposed.

Almost all of our goals in the second period came from us winning the ball in the middle of the park and counter-attacking, with Postecoglou’s tactical tweak working perfectly.

Ange Postecoglou says one star just delivered his 'best performance' for Spurs

Ange Postecoglou has made a rather surprising claim about one Tottenham star after the club’s thumping 4-1 win over West Ham.

Brennan Johnson’s crazy hot streak

Johnson has been in the form of his life over the last month, having scored in six consecutive matches for Spurs on the back of a lacklustre start to the campaign.

He made it seven in seven matches when he found the back of the net for Wales against Iceland during the international break.

While his scoring streak finally came to an end on Saturday against West Ham, he did come close on a couple of occasions.

Ange Postecoglou makes a big claim about Johnson

Postecoglou has now suggested that even though Johnson failed to get on the scoresheet, his performance in the London derby was his best one in a Tottenham shirt.

The Australian praised the defensive work that the 23-year-old put in to help out Pedro Porro.

Postecoglou told Football.London: “I mentioned it to the lads, I know Brennan Johnson didn’t score today but I thought that was his best performance for us with the amount of work he did to help out Pedro and help out the team in a defensive capacity and still be a threat going the other way.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

Johnson’s value off the ball

While fans and journalists often tend to judge attackers only on what they do in possession, their work off the ball is just as important in modern-day football.

Postecoglou’s system certainly relies on the forwards pressing incessantly off the ball and on the wingers tracking back to help the full-backs, who are often in very advanced positions.

That is where Johnson excels, with the former Nottingham Forest being a tireless worker and capable of sprinting all game.

Ange Postecoglou says 'relentless' Spurs star can get even better

Ange Postecoglou is pleased with the evolution he has seen from one Tottenham star but suggests that we have still not seen the best of him yet.

The best player on the pitch against West Ham

Dejan Kulusevski has taken his game to a new level since being moved to the number eight role this season, with the Swede now finally living up to the potential that he always had.

West Ham struggled to get near him throughout the 90 minutes, with the 24-year-old not only helping Tottenham win the midfield battle but also being devastating in the final third.

Kulusevski scored Spurs’ important equaliser on 36 minutes, which sent the home side on their way to a comfortable 4-1 win.

Ange Postecoglou waxes lyrical about Dejan Kulusevski

Postecoglou admitted that Kulusevski was the difference between the two sides in the middle of the park, praising the former Juventus man’s relentless nature through the 90 minutes.

When asked if the Sweden international’s physicality was important in the middle of the park, the Spurs head coach told Football.London: “Yeah, he has been doing that all year and the evolution of Deki as a player, that is now his role not just for us but he’s playing there for the national team too.

“He’s got this ability to get out of tight spaces and he’s a really strong runner. He is relentless in his running capacity and he also has the quality.

MORE SPURS STORIES

More to come from Kulusevski

Even more excitingly for Spurs fans, Postecoglou suggested that we have not seen the best of Kulusevski yet in his new role.

The Tottenham head coach remarked that the versatile attacker is capable of delivering goals and assists more regularly than he is currently doing.

He added: “In that final third, I still think we can get more goals out of him, more assists but he is constantly in those threatening areas and he’s been outstanding for us all year.

“Today he had to show some other facets of the game, some defensive work as well which I thought he did well but I thought the whole team did well.”

1 West Ham match report: Kulusevski sparks London derby delight

Tottenham Hotspur surged to a 4-1 victory over West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, overturning an early deficit with three second-half goals in the span of eight minutes.

First Half: Kudus strikes first, Kulusevski levels

Despite Spurs’ early dominance, it was West Ham who struck first. In the 18th minute, Mohammed Kudus netted his second goal of the season, finishing off a smart pull-back from Jarrod Bowen. Bowen’s initial cross was blocked, but he persisted, finding Kudus in space to fire past a helpless Guglielmo Vicario. Tottenham’s Pedro Porro was caught ball-watching, allowing the Ghanaian forward to capitalize.

Tottenham responded with intent, creating a flurry of chances. Brennan Johnson missed a gilt-edged opportunity in the 28th minute, heading over from close range. However, the equaliser finally came in the 36th minute when James Maddison, driving through midfield, played a perfectly weighted pass to Dejan Kulusevski. The Swede cut inside and, with precision, struck a low shot that hit both posts before nestling in the back of the net.

Second Half: Spurs take control with a quickfire triple

Surprisingly, James Maddison, who was Tottenham’s most creative player in the first half, was substituted at halftime. Despite providing an assist for Kulusevski’s equaliser and creating five chances – the most of any player on the pitch – his withdrawal was tactical and not due to injury.

The second half saw Spurs take control almost immediately. In the 52nd minute, Yves Bissouma gave the hosts the lead. Destiny Udogie, playing on the left flank, pulled the ball back from the byline, and Bissouma powered his shot into the net for his second goal of the season.

Just three minutes later, Tottenham extended their advantage in somewhat fortunate fashion. Kulusevski’s cut-back found Son Heung-Min, whose shot was initially saved by Alphonse Areola. However, a mix-up between the West Ham goalkeeper and Jean-Clair Todibo resulted in an own goal, with the ball trickling over the line after a deflection.

Son, returning after a brief injury layoff, soon made it 4-1 with a brilliant solo effort. Receiving a pass from Pape Matar Sarr, Son danced past Todibo with some silky step-overs before firing a low shot past Areola at the near post. This was Son’s third goal in the Premier League this season and his seventh against West Ham in his career.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Kudus sees red late on

West Ham’s afternoon went from bad to worse when Kudus was sent off in the 86th minute following a VAR review. After a confrontation with Micky van de Ven, Kudus raised his hands to both the Dutchman and Sarr, which resulted in a red card. The Hammers finished the match with 10 men and were unable to mount any form of comeback.

Takeaways: Tottenham’s attack shines in the N17 sun

This result highlighted Tottenham’s attacking strength, particularly in the second half. Despite West Ham’s early resistance, Spurs’ high press and quick transitions overwhelmed their London rivals. The inclusion of Kulusevski, Son, and Maddison as the key creative forces proved decisive, while Bissouma’s presence in midfield ensured Spurs controlled the tempo for large parts of the game.

West Ham, meanwhile, struggled to maintain their defensive shape and were undone by Tottenham’s fast-paced attacks. The Hammers’ reliance on counter-attacks paid off initially, but they lacked the composure needed to hold onto their lead and were ultimately punished.

Five things we learned from Tottenham's 4

Submitted by daniel on
Picture

Description

Tottenham returned to winning ways in the Premier League this afternoon with a 4-1 victory over, following that shocking defeat against Brighton last time out.

Let’s take a look at the five things we learned:

Dejan Kulusevski is a monster

What a performance from this man! Once again, he stepped up when Tottenham required a creative spark, rifling the ball home off both posts at such an important time in the match. Usually, Kulusevski and Maddison are the dream team in that attacking third, but Deki took it up an extra notch when he was flying solo in the second half today.

Every good Spurs move featured a pass, flick, or trick from the Swedish superstar. On another day, he could have grabbed another goal or two. And all these attacking highlights shouldn’t take away from the fact that he still presses and tracks back more than any other Tottenham player!

Taking control of the game

You could definitely see the impact of that Brighton defeat on Tottenham today. Taking Maddison off at half-time to add more legs and better pressing. Taking our chances to put the game beyond West Ham. Then dictating the pace of the match, slowing things down, and letting the game fizzle out into nothingness. That’s how you go ahead and stay ahead. Perhaps really Spurs needed that lesson from Brighton.

More Moore, please!

This isn’t a pick on Timo party – I still think he’s a decent squad option in certain situations. However, I cannot understand throwing on an out-of-form loanee who won’t be here next season instead of your brightest academy prospect.

Being 4-1 up with 20 minutes to go is a rare and unique situation that is tailor-made to give youngsters minutes without too much pressure. Moore needs game time at the top level to continue his development and it felt like Postecoglou missed a trick today.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Two unsung heroes

Most of the credit will go to the likes of Heung-min Son, Maddison and Kulusevski today – and with good reason. That being said, both Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson deserve a big shout-out. Solanke’s hold-up play was superb today and he really drives Spurs up the pitch with the ball at his feet. Yes, it was one of those games where the crosses were seemingly always just a few inches away from him, but his general play was near-perfect.

Johnson, on the other hand, was a little quieter than normal but stretched the game so well on and off the ball. The Welshman created so much space for his teammates, particularly on the break in that second half.

Bentancur gets another cap

One funny moment during the match took place part-way through the second half when the sun started to peak over the top of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Amid the celebrations of Tottenham’s goal, Guglielmo Vicario ran across to the subs warming up on the touchline and asked Bentancur to fetch him a cap.
