Roberto De Zerbi is the evens favourite with William Hill to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager, after leaving his role at Marseille and with Spurs’ poor run of form continuing.

The Italian, who parted ways with Ligue 1 giants Marseille in the early hours of Wednesday morning, heads the betting. Spurs are now 9/2 to be relegated (from 9/1) – their shortest price in more than 20 years.

Bet on the Premier League at William Hill

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is priced at 4/1 to make a return to North London, while former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is also 4/1 in the market. Ex-Spurs striker Robbie Keane is a 7/1 chance to step into the dugout, with Oliver Glasner (10/1) and Ruben Amorim (11/1) also prominent in the betting.

Next Permanent Tottenham Manager Odds:

Roberto De Zerbi – EVS

Mauricio Pochettino – 4/1

Xavi Hernandez – 4/1

Robbie Keane – 7/1

Oliver Glasner – 10/1

Ruben Amorim – 11/1

Bar – 12/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Roberto De Zerbi has quickly emerged as the evens favourite to become the next Tottenham manager after leaving Marseille, and that development – combined with Tottenham’s woeful current run of form – has accelerated interest in the Italian.

“Pochettino at 4/1 will naturally attract attention given his history with the club, while Xavi at the same price adds real pedigree to the market. Robbie Keane at 7/1 is an interesting contender too – he knows the club inside out and would be a popular appointment with supporters.

“Further down the list, Oliver Glasner at 10/1 and Ruben Amorim at 11/1 remain respected options, but the betting suggests De Zerbi is the leading contender after leaving his latest post.”

Premier League Relegation Odds 2025/26:

Wolves – 1/500

Burnley – 1/100

West Ham United – 8/11

Nottingham Forest – 3/1

Tottenham Hotspur – 9/2

Bar – 8/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles have also been reflected in the relegation betting. Spurs were 9/1 to be relegated prior to the Newcastle game but have now halved in price to 9/2 to drop into the Championship.

“The last time Tottenham were this short in the relegation betting was back in 2008, when they were around 6/1 in early October while bottom of the table and still without a win. It’s safe to say this is the shortest price they’ve been for the drop in more than 20 years!”

Tottenham Hotspur Relegation Odds: Spurs Shortest Price For Drop Since 2008 - William Hill
Description

With Tottenham Hotspur languishing down in 15th position, the latest betting at William Hill have Spurs as short as 9/1 to be relegated from the Premier League this season.

The Lilywhites are just 9/1 to drop down to the second tier of English football and the football betting markets at William Hill haven’t been this short for Tottenham Hotspur to suffer relegation since 2008.

Premier League Relegation Odds For 2025/26:

Wolverhampton Wanderers – 1/500

Burnley – 1/100

West Ham United – 8/13

Nottingham Forest – 10/3

Leeds United – 8/1

Tottenham Hotspur – 9/1

Bar – 16/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Spurs’ 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford has really set alarm bells ringing with our traders. They’re now 9/1 for the drop – the shortest price we’ve seen for the club to be relegated since 2008 – and if results continue to go against them, that price could easily shorten further in the weeks ahead.

“With Wolves and Burnley still odds‑on to go down, and West Ham securing a vital three points at Turf Moor, Spurs are edging closer to that group than their supporters would like.

“Nottingham Forest (10/3) and Leeds (8/1) are lurking in and around the relegation zone too; they remain ahead of Spurs in the market to drop to the Championship, but Thomas Frank will be feeling the pressure from all sides after a string of lacklustre results in the Premier League.”

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the UEFA Europa League..

AZ Alkmaar and Tottenham Hotspur will meet again for the second time in this UEL campaign, Spurs won their “league phase” meeting 1-0 back in October but AZ will be looking for revenge on home soil.

Ahead of the UEL action, don’t forget you can create your own multi and get a bigger price with Acca Winnings Boost. Plus, get a 25% Bet Builder Winnings Boost on UEFA Europa League games and keep your player-based bets alive until the final whistle with Impact Sub.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some betting angles for Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League fixture:

AZ Alkmaar v Tottenham Hotspur – Thursday, 5.45pm

AZ Alkmaar had to overcome a tough test in the play-off round, their impressive 4-1 victory here against Galatasaray was followed up with a 2-2 draw in Istanbul just a week later.

Maarten Martens’ side have won ten of their last eleven games on home soil, beating the likes of Ajax (twice), AS Roma and Galatasaray in the process.

We could be in for a few goals in this one, as both teams have scored in seven of AZ Alkmaar’s ten Europa League games so far.

——————————–

With Tottenham Hotspur no longer in the FA Cup, they had a weekend free which means Ange Postecoglou’s side have had a week to prepare for this clash in the Netherlands.

Spurs are favourites to go all the way in this competition and will be hoping to get something to defend in London next week.

Tottenham Hotspur are still short on numbers and especially at the back, we could see plenty of attacking action in this one.
