Tottenham are among a host of Premier League clubs showing interest in a summer move for Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume, according to Fichajes.

The Lilywhites, along with Arsenal and Manchester United, are believed to have earmarked the France U21 international as a potential reinforcement for Thomas Frank’s midfield options this summer.

Agoume has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising defensive midfielders during his 18 months in Spain, and there is growing belief he could be open to a new challenge in the coming weeks.

The 23-year-old, who joined Sevilla from Inter Milan permanently last year, is under contract until June 2028.

Tottenham Keeping Tabs on Lucien Agoume

Among several Premier League clubs keen on the 23-year-old

According to Fichajes, Tottenham view Agoume as a chance to add a young and versatile player to their midfield and believe they could offer the Frenchman an ‘ideal’ environment for development.

There is a feeling Sevilla would consider offers in the region of €20m (£17m) for Agoume this summer, with Arsenal currently believed to be leading the chase.

Agoume, praised as ‘extraordinary’, played a key role in Sevilla’s domestic campaign last term, making 35 La Liga appearances and registering four goal contributions.

The 23-year-old also helped Sevilla narrowly avoid relegation, as the seven-time Europa League winners finished 17th, just one point above the bottom three.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Agoume made four senior appearances during his time at Inter.

Tottenham completed the permanent signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich last week and are reportedly seeking further low-cost market options ahead of their Champions League return.

According to reports, the Lilywhites are also considering bringing back academy graduate Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer, with his contract at Southampton set to expire next week.

Tottenham reportedly remain interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani to bolster their attacking options, after previously pursuing a deal for the player in the January transfer window, as per TBR Football.

Despite a dismal 17th-placed finish in the Premier League, Spurs rescued their season by winning the Europa League final against Manchester United, securing an unlikely return to the Champions League.

Chairman Daniel Levy decided to part ways with previous boss Ange Postecoglou anyway, and ex-Brentford tactician Thomas Frank has been brought in to lead the club's new project. With fresh funds available, bolstering the forward line has emerged as a key priority, and Kolo Muani is believed to be among the players on their radar.

Tottenham Eyeing Kolo Muani

The Frenchman is keen to stay in Italy

As per TBR Football journalist Grame Bailey, Kolo Muani prefers to stay in Italy with Juventus despite links to the Premier League. The Frenchman joined the Turin outfit last winter on a loan from Paris Saint-Germain till the end of the season, and his spell was later extended till the end of the summer's Club World Cup following some impressive performances.

He registered ten goals in 20 outings in the second half of last term, providing a further two assists for his teammates in the process. PSG will be looking to sell the player permanently after he returns following the end of his loan, but Juventus are thought to be seeking a loan deal instead.

If an agreement between the two clubs is not found, it could open the door for a club in England to step in. Tottenham were heavily linked with the player previously amid their injury crisis, and they have retained their interest in making the player a potential option in attack alongside the likes of Dominic Solanke and Heung-min Son.

PSG may struggle to recoup much of the £76.4 million they paid to Eintracht Frankfurt to sign the player in 2023, and reports suggest a fee between £50-£70 million is considered more likely for the 26-year-old.

Frank's Own Son: Tottenham Must Secure Audacious Deal for 'Insane' Forward - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham must go all out to bring Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo to North London in an audacious deal to kick-start Thomas Frank's era at the club.

The Lilywhites hired the Danish tactician after a dismal 2024/25 league campaign that ultimately resulted in the sacking of previous boss Ange Postecoglou. Determined to ensure that such a showing in the Premier League doesn't repeat itself, Spurs are set to invest heavily in their squad this summer.

Mbeumo is one of the club’s priority targets, although Manchester United are also pushing hard to sign the Cameroonian. While some reports claim he has already set his sights on Old Trafford, Tottenham are still in the race and haven’t given up hope of securing his signature.

Tottenham Must Sign Mbeumo

The winger could be their next talisman

In 2015, Tottenham won the race for then-Bayer Leverkusen ace Heung-min Son, who they made the most expensive Asian player of all time. A decade has since passed, and the forward has firmly cemented his legacy as one of the best players in Tottenham's history.

It proved to be a stroke of genius from the club's recruitment team, but the 32-year-old is now approaching the latter part of his career and Tottenham must look to sign his long-term successor.

It wouldn't be far-fetched to claim Brentford's Mbeumo could reach such heights if he were to sign for Spurs. The winger notched a remarkable 20 goals in the Premier League last term - just three behind Son's best ever tally in the competition - and provided a further seven assists as well.

Dubbed "insane", Mbeumo is the talisman Frank needs to lead his new project at Tottenham. As long as Spurs are able to get closer to the Bees' asking price, there is a strong chance they are able to convince the France-born man of the prospect of reuniting with his former manager.

Tottenham Hotspur could look to complete a surprise move for Juventus star Timothy Weah in the coming weeks, according to reports - with Daniel Levy keen to give new boss Thomas Frank a summer warchest to strengthen his squad in the upcoming transfer window, in a bid to fly up the Premier League table.

Spurs finished 17th in the top-flight last season, their worst-ever finish in the competition - but a win in the Europa League means they'll be playing Champions League football next season. Their squad will need replenishing as a result and that could see Weah join to improve their ranks across the pitch.

Report: Tottenham Keeping 'Close Tabs' on Timothy Weah

The Lilywhites will have more money to spend amid their Champions League qualification

The report by TEAMtalk states that Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Weah ahead of the summer window, with Frank seeing him as a 'smart addition' to his squad, owing to the American's pace and versatility.

Weah has played all over the pitch during his career, including right-wing, right-back and striker - being labelled as having 'immense speed' and racking up 11 goal contributions for Juventus in Serie A last season. That makes him a worthwhile addition in Spurs' eyes as the Europa League winners look to improve their ranks for next season.

Weah is admired by Spurs chiefs, preparing to back Frank to get their squad up to a Champions League level, though Juventus reportedly have 'no intention' of letting Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate Weah go on the cheap.

New gaffer Igor Tudor sees the son of Ballon d'Or winner George as a 'key piece' of his plans going forward and is keen to keep him in Serie A, even with his contract running until 2028.

Tudor values Weah and his ability to operate across the pitch makes him equally important to the Old Lady, and so only a significant offer will tempt them to sell - meaning Spurs may be forced to use a chunk of their budget to bring him to the club.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Timothy Weah has seven goals in 44 games for USA.

Weah began his career at PSG, but only made six appearances for the Champions League holders alongside a loan move to Celtic, before he joined and excelled at Lille prior to his stint at Juventus, where he has spent the last two seasons.

Tottenham Hotspur have been made aware of Ko Itakura’s potential availability at Borussia Monchengladbach after staying in regular contact over a deal, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

Spurs are preparing for a new era under manager Thomas Frank, with the former Brentford boss replacing Ange Postecoglou earlier this month. After qualifying for the Champions League under Postecoglou, Tottenham will be searching for new additions to build a squad capable of competing on all fronts next season.

Signing a defender could be one of their priorities, after injuries during the 2024/2025 campaign saw the likes of Archie Gray being deployed as a makeshift centre-back. Reports have also linked Cristian Romero with a departure in the summer transfer window, so adding a new centre-back could be high on their shortlist.

Tottenham Aware of Ko Itakura's Availability

Spurs have held talks over the last 18 months

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Tottenham have been made aware of Itakura's potential availability during the summer transfer window at Borussia Monchengladbach. Spurs have been touching base over a potential deal over the last 18 months, and they've now been informed that he will be available in the coming weeks and months.

It's understood that Itakura is finally in a moment where he could head through the exit door, with Gladbach expected to demand in the region of £12m to allow him to depart. The Japanese star's contract expires next summer, and with no sign of an extension, the Bundesliga club have become open to a sale.

Itakura started 31 Bundesliga games last season, but his contract situation has cast doubt over his future. It's unclear how Spurs view the defender, who can also play in midfield, under their new squad profiling plans under Frank, but they are looking for a player of his type. Intermediaries have been in touch with Tottenham about the situation of their long-term target.

Itakura, described as 'unbelievable' by the Bundesliga website, could be a smart addition considering his availability, versatility, and the fact that the will only cost in the region of £12m.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank could opt for a move for a former youth academy product in Kyle Walker-Peters, according to reports - with the north London outfit needing homegrown players to bolster their ranks in terms of European registration rules in the summer transfer window.

Frank will get to work on a side that tasted silverware for the first time in 17 years following last month's 2-1 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final, although a poor domestic campaign saw Tottenham finish in 17th in the Premier League table - and he'll be keen to avenge that with new signings. But despite big names being touted for a move, Walker-Peters could be a smart move in any case.

Report: Tottenham Could Revisit Walker-Peters Move

The club are looking to back Thomas Frank this summer

The report by Football London states that Spurs will have to look at some 'smart options' to help their European push, alongside their main transfer targets in the summer window.

Frank left Brentford earlier in the month to join Tottenham after Ange Postecoglou was sacked, with the Dane moving to a side with European football - and specifically a place in the Champions League - after masterminding two top-half finishes with the Bees in his first four Premier League campaigns in north London.

However, he will have to bolster his squad in terms of homegrown rules, with clubs needing four players who were raised in their academy as part of registration rules - and with only backup stopper Brandon Austin boasting that from the club's squad at present, the report understands that they have considered a move later on in the window to bring Walker-Peters in as a free agent due to him meeting the criteria.

Walker-Peters, who was relegated with Southampton this season, made 24 appearances for Tottenham before joining the Saints - and with a further 126 top-flight appearances for the St. Mary's club, he could be vital in terms of cost and experience, especially having been labelled as 'extraordinary' by The Athletic.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Kyle Walker-Peters made two England caps in 2022.

The academy product is keen on a return to north London, and although Tottenham are set to focus on other key areas this summer, his arrival could be vital, where he would act as backup for Pedro Porro, Djed Spence and Archie Gray, who are all younger and established themselves further last season.

Thomas Frank ‘Green Lights’ Tottenham Move to Sign ‘Real Killer’ in £35m Deal - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has “given the green light” for the club to sign Stade Rennais forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to ESPN.

Though he guided Spurs to their first piece of silverware in 17 years, Ange Postecoglou was sacked by the club just weeks after lifting the Europa League trophy. Despite such an accomplishment, the Lilywhites struggled in the Premier League under the Australian, losing 22 of their 38 games last season.

As such, the North London side decided to make a change and in doing so, appointed Thomas Frank as Postecoglou’s successor. The Dane, who spent seven years with Brentford and established them in the Premier League, has proven that he is a tactically flexible manager who, in theory, will have a positive impact on Spurs.

Tottenham have been linked with a number of players since Frank arrived, as he will need reinforcements to better implement his footballing philosophies. Now, it would appear that Frank has personally asked Spurs to sign this particular player.

Tottenham Want Kalimuendo

Forward impressed in Ligue 1 last season

According to ESPN, Frank has “given the green light to a potential move” for Stade Rennais’ Arnaud Kalimuendo. The forward, who can play either behind, or as, the striker, enjoyed a brilliant 2024/25 campaign and at just 23 years old, will only grow as a player in the years to come.

Kalimuendo, who ESPN reported is valued at £35 million by Rennes, “prefers a move to England” if he is to leave France and could have the perfect opportunity with Spurs. Their place in next season’s Champions League will serve as a massive incentive for the player, just as playing in the English top flight would.

Whether Spurs agree a deal for Kalimuendo, who has been described as a "real killer," remains to be seen, but the French youth international would be a smart signing for the Lilywhites as they look to improve on such a poor domestic campaign.

Tottenham Star 'Being Called Almost Every Day' About Leaving by Club Manager - GiveMeSport

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is calling Tottenham Hotspur star Cristian Romero every day to convince him to move to La Liga, according to journalist Ruben Uria.

The Lilywhites are expecting a busy summer transfer window after opting to replace manager Ange Postecoglou with Thomas Frank following a 17th-place finish in the Premier League, despite qualifying for the Champions League via their Europa League triumph.

But one of the big issues that the new manager must deal with is the future of his vice-captain Romero, who is attracting big interest and has so far refused to commit his future to the north London club.

Simeone Calling Romero Almost Every Day

World Cup winner open to La Liga move

GIVEMESPORT sources revealed back in March that the club had softened their stance on a potential sale of the Argentina international, amid interest from the Spanish capital.

However, since winning the Europa League and securing Champions League football, it's believed that the club now want to keep Romero at the club to help the transition with the new manager too, who sees him as a vital member of his new project.

But while they're looking to offer him a new contract to convince him to stay in London, it's now being reported by El Desmarque that Atletico boss Simeone is phoning the defender 'almost every day' to try and convince him to make the move to the Wanda Metropolitano.

"I know that Cholo [Diego Simeone] calls Cuti Romero almost every day to see if he can convince him. They're [Tottenham] going to ask a lot. €58-60 million (£50m) for this player, which is a lot of money for a centre-back."

Romero, who has been described as "world-class" and currently earns £165,000-a-week, has admitted publicly that he dreams of playing in Spain at some point during his career, which opened the door to a potential exit this summer.

But Spurs are now pushing to convince him to stay put despite Simeone's advances, and a decision is expected to be made in the coming weeks.

Tottenham are not giving up hope of signing Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer, amid strong interest from Manchester United, journalist Duncan Castles has suggested.

Despite suggestions that the Cameroonian forward’s preference is to join Man United and move to Old Trafford, Castles believes Mbeumo has not yet closed the door entirely on a potential reunion with Thomas Frank in North London.

Spurs’ chances would reportedly be boosted should they get closer to Brentford’s valuation of the 25-year-old winger, while Mbeumo also has his own reasons why a move to Tottenham could potentially be more appealing.

It would allow him to stay in London for the foreseeable future and continue playing under Frank, who signed Mbeumo for Brentford from French club Troyes back in 2019.

Tottenham Receive Bryan Mbeumo Boost

Despite strong interest from Man United

Castles, speaking on the Transfers Podcast, revealed that Mbeumo has not yet made his mind up over his next summer move, with Tottenham retaining hope of a potential reunion with Frank amid Man United interest:

“The indication from Manchester United was that Mbeumo had chosen to move there, that he verbally told them that his preference was to move there.

“I'm not hearing exactly the same on that there. I think there is a good chance that Mbeumo, should Tottenham, in particular, get to the price that Brentford are asking, that he might choose Tottenham ahead of Manchester United.

“And there are a couple of obvious reasons for that. One is, it allows him to stay in London, and, secondly, allows them to carry on playing for Thomas Frank, who has joined Tottenham as the replacement for Ange Postecoglou.”

Mbeumo enjoyed a career-best Premier League campaign under Frank last season, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in 38 appearances for Brentford.

The 'insane' Cameroonian is now expected to leave with a year left on his contract, although the Bees hold an option to extend it by another 12 months, until June 2027.

Man United are believed to have earmarked Mbeumo as their priority forward target and are eyeing him for a starting spot in Ruben Amorim’s XI next season.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have also placed the signing of a new winger at the top of their agenda, with West Ham ace Mohammed Kudus emerging as another option.

Glenn Hoddle Named England's 4 Greatest Ever Finishers in 2013 - Included 2 Spurs Icons - GiveMeSport
Description

Over the years, England have been blessed with some incredible strikers. The likes of Alan Shearer, Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney have taken the world by storm while hailing from the nation. Whether it was in club football or international, there have been many English goalscorers who have shone on the grandest of stages throughout history.

These days, many would consider Kane one of the nation's best. He is the Three Lions' all-time leading goalscorer and is still scoring as an impressive rate for them. There's no telling how big a lead he'll have at the top of the England national team's scoring charts by the time he calls it a day.

There's no doubt whatsoever that he's one of England's greatest ever finishers. When Glenn Hoddle named the four best, though, back in 2013, Kane was cutting his teeth in the Championship during a loan spell at Leicester City. So, he didn't make the cut, but the former England boss did list some very impressive players.

Hoddle's Four Greatest English Finishers Ever

Gary Lineker, Michael Owen, Jimmy Greaves & Alan Shearer

While there have been plenty of exceptional finishers in England's history, four men stood out for Hoddle and they were Gary Lineker, Michael Owen, Jimmy Greaves and Alan Shearer. It's hard to argue with his decision to name any of the quartet and their resumes speak for themselves. Lineker was one of the best strikers on the planet during his career and he shone for the Three Lions, as well as at club level for Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur in particular.

Another former Spurs man he named was Greaves. Few players have the record he put together in front of goal during his time on the pitch. He became a legend at Spurs and at local rivals Chelsea - a testament to just how good he was. Owen started his career in blistering form and while things fell apart in the later years, with injuries slowing him down, there's no denying how excellent he was at his peak and he's the second youngest Ballon d'Or winner ever, lifting the award at just 22 years old. Hoddle gave Owen his England debut and was a big fan.

As quoted by BBC Sport, he spoke about the former striker and listed the four as the best finishers in England's history. He said:

"He [Owen] is in the top four of our greatest finishers, along with Jimmy Greaves, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer. Some might say he is at the top of that list. He was a baby-faced assassin. His finishing was amazing for a young man."

Shearer didn't enjoy the success that the others did for the Three Lions, but he shone at club level and retired in 2006 as the Premier League's all-time leading scorer. His phenomenal tally of 260 goals in the top flight still hasn't been beaten.
