Description

Crystal Palace are encouraging Tottenham Hotspur to make a move to sign playmaker Eberechi Eze ahead of their local rivals Arsenal this summer, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.

The England international had been expected to leave Selhurst Park during the summer transfer window after helping the club win the FA Cup for the first time in their history back in May, but with the Eagles' season beginning in less than 24 hours against Liverpool in the Community Shield, he is still very much a key man in south London.

Arsenal have been strongly interested for much of the window but are yet to make a formal move for his services, and now Palace are actively encouraging Spurs to make a move ahead of them in order to spark a bidding war.

Tottenham Eyeing Eze to Replace Maddison

Eze, who has been described as a "superstar", had a release clause this summer worth an initial £60m that could rise to £68m with add-ons, which expired on August 1st.

However, Palace are still open to letting the playmaker leave for a similar price so long as their conditions are met. Arsenal had been considered the frontrunners for his signature, but after a busy summer window they are now prioritising sales instead.

That has opened the door for Tottenham to potentially swoop in, as they begin to look at options to replace James Maddison in an attacking midfield role.

Maddison suffered a serious knee injury in their pre-season clash with Newcastle last week while in South Korea, and now looks set to miss the majority of the 2025/26 season with a ruptured ACL.

The club had also been keen on a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White earlier in the summer after triggering his £60m release clause, but Nottingham Forest challenged the legality of the deal and eventually convinced him to sign a new three-year deal instead, which has left Spurs looking at alternatives.

Eze is someone who has been seriously considered by the Europa League winners, and GMS sources understand that Frank has already given the green light to the England international being brought in. However, the club are being very thorough in exploring all potential opportunities in the market before making their move.

Palace are hoping to spark some competition for Eze's signature to ensure that they get maximum value for their star forward, and believe Tottenham could do just that by challenging Arsenal for a deal.

GIVEMESPORT key statistics: Eberechi Eze scored the winning goal in Crystal Palace's first-ever FA Cup final win over Man City last season.

But Spurs have so far been slow to commit to a deal, even though he is perfectly suited to the number ten and left-wing positions where there is a shortage of options, following Maddison's injury and Heung-Min Son's exit to LA FC.

Tottenham sources insist that there has been no formal contact yet over a deal for Eze, but there is a belief in football circles that enquiries were made this week.

Arsenal have been expected to make a move to sign the 26-year-old but are hesitating at the moment, as they see him primarily as a number ten and don't feel that fits with their current squad set up, and are unsure about the amount of game time he would get as a result.

Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign AC Milan forward Rafael Leao this summer, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.

The Europa League winners have reportedly been contacted through intermediaries over a potential move for the Portugal international, as they look to replace captain Son Heung-min, who joined LAFC.

Leao is believed to have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs but, at this stage, has no plans to depart San Siro, with head coach Massimiliano Allegri keen to keep him.

The 26-year-old winger, who joined Milan from Lille in the summer of 2019, is under contract until June 2028 with the seven-time Champions League winners.

Rafael Leao Offered to Tottenham

The 26-year-old wants to stay at AC Milan

According to Bailey, Leao himself is keen to remain at Milan this summer and is ‘excited’ by the prospect of playing under Allegri.

The ‘explosive’ Portuguese winger will be aiming to recapture his best form following an underwhelming 2024/25 campaign, during which Milan finished just eighth in Serie A – their lowest result in 10 years.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are said to be in ‘desperate’ need of reinforcements to Thomas Frank’s attacking options following Son’s departure to Los Angeles FC and James Maddison’s injury.

The Lilywhites are believed to be considering several available market opportunities, including a deal for Manchester City ace Jack Grealish.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Leao registered 25 goal contributions in 50 appearances for Milan last season.

Spurs have welcomed Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha as their two most notable senior additions this summer and have also secured permanent deals for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel.

They are believed to have made an initial phone call to explore Grealish’s situation and are among several Premier League clubs considering the Englishman.

Tottenham are among a host of Premier League clubs eyeing a summer move for Juventus outcast Douglas Luiz, according to CaughtOffside.

The Europa League winners are reportedly keeping a close eye on developments surrounding the Brazilian midfielder’s situation, as Juventus are open to his departure just 12 months after signing him from Aston Villa.

Luiz is believed to be available for €40m (£35m) this summer and has no shortage of suitors in England, with Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Leeds and West Ham all keen.

Forest are said to be leading the race for Luiz’s signature at the moment, though no agreement has been reached yet over his move to the City Ground.

Tottenham Eyeing Juventus’ Douglas Luiz

Among Premier League clubs keen on the 27-year-old

According to CaughtOffside, Luiz is believed to be prioritising a return to the Premier League this summer, having turned down a potential move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The 'world-class' Brazilian midfielder would bring proven top-flight experience to Tottenham this summer, having made 175 Premier League appearances during his time at Villa Park.

Luiz has struggled for regular opportunities since joining Juventus last summer, making just three starts in Serie A and amassing a total of 516 minutes.

His debut campaign with the Bianconeri was disrupted by two separate injury setbacks, which also limited his involvement in the Champions League, where he made six appearances.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Luiz made 27 appearances for Juventus in all competitions last season.

Tottenham are anticipating a busy end to the summer transfer window, as they eye further reinforcements following Joao Palhinha’s arrival on loan from Bayern Munich.

According to reports, the Lilywhites have recently made a phone call to explore the conditions of a possible deal for Manchester City forward Jack Grealish.

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a surprise move to sign Manchester City star Savinho this summer, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.

Thoms Frank has arrived in north London and so far has been able to add Mohammed Kudus, Kota Takai and Joao Palhinha to his squad, while a move to add Morgan Gibbs-White collapsed following legal trouble before Nottingham Forest convinced him to sign a new contract.

Spurs are set to lose captain Heung-Min Son to LAFC in a MLS record transfer and after James Maddison suffered what looked like a serious knee injury during pre-season, they are keen to add fresh attacking talent before the deadline.

Tottenham Eyeing Move for Savinho

No talks held yet

Savinho, who has been described as "incredible" by Pep Guardiola, enjoyed a fine maiden campaign in the Premier League for Man City in 2024/25 as he topped their assists chart following a £30.8m move from Girona.

Those performances have attracted the interest of club chiefs at Tottenham, who have made the Brazil international a target as they eye fresh legs in their attack, having already made contact for another City forward in Jack Grealish this week.

The 21-year-old impressed with three goals and 11 assists in all competitions, and with City adding Rayan Cherki to the squad this summer, he may have fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

While there is interest in a deal there have been no club-to-club talks or approaches to the player yet, but GMS sources understand that he has been flagged internally as a player of interest.

Any deal is expected to be difficult to do though, with Man City not actively looking to sell and Guardiola viewing him as a key part of an evolving squad, who are looking to bounce back following their first trophyless season since 2017.

Spurs are big fans of the player due to his unpredictability in the final third and his creativity, and this is a profile of player that the club are looking to add to their squad for Frank. It remains to be seen if a deal can be done for Savinho, but there is interest in north London and that makes this one to watch in the coming weeks.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have made a surprise call to sign Manchester City star Jack Grealish, according to Fabrizio Romano - with Daniel Levy putting the feelers out to gauge how much a deal would cost to sign the £300,000-a-week star on a loan deal this summer.

Spurs have already landed West Ham United wide man Mohammed Kudus this window, with Danish boss Thomas Frank looking for more goals in a Tottenham side that currently boasts the likes of young stars Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert on the left-flank, whilst Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson hold the fort on the right. However, James Maddison's long-term knee injury means Kulusevski could play more centrally, prompting Kudus to fill in for him - and so there is a void in their creative ranks.

Romano: Tottenham 'Have Made Phone Call' to Sign Jack Grealish

The Italian journalist says the club have fielded out the numbers it would take to land the England star

Grealish has struggled for minutes at the Etihad Stadium over the past two seasons, only making a combined 40 Premier League appearances in the past two years, and he could be on the move.

And, as a result, the report by Romano on his YouTube channel states that although Everton are more advanced in negotiations to land the former Aston Villa winger, Tottenham have also fielded a call in recent days as Thomas Frank looks to bolster his creative ranks ahead of their Premier League and Champions League fixtures. Romano said:

"Everton are working on a deal to sign Jack Grealish. There was a call also from Tottenham in recent days to understand the situation of the player, but it was just a call - no advanced negotiations.

"From what I'm told now, Everton approached Manchester City after speaking to the agent of the player last week. Now, Everton are in talks with Manchester City for Jack Grealish - they want to try for a loan. Let's see the conditions of this loan, let's see what Jack will decide to do - but Jack Grealish is the dream target now for Everton."

Grealish would add a huge level of experience to their ranks, and creativity. A move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White collapsed despite Tottenham activating his release clause, and so Frank clearly wants someone in that area.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Jack Grealish has four goals in 39 caps for England.

The England star may have fallen off the beaten path in recent months, but a move to north London could do him wonders if they can hijack Everton, who are seemingly at the front of the queue.

Description

Tottenham are showing interest in a summer move for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, journalist Fraser Fletcher has claimed.

The Europa League winners are looking to replace departing captain Son Heung-min with a new star signing and have identified Lookman as an alternative on their shortlist.

Spurs are also admirers of Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, but Lookman is viewed as their ‘plan B’, with his versatility and Premier League experience appealing to the North London club.

Lookman has submitted a transfer request at Atalanta and is expected to leave before the transfer deadline, with the Serie A club reportedly seeking around €50m (£44m) for his departure.

Lookman ‘Strong Contender’ to Replace Son

Tottenham considering the 27-year-old winger

According to Fletcher, Lookman is seen as a ‘strong contender’ to replace Son this summer, though Tottenham face competition from Inter Milan for his signature.

The Serie A winners are said to be keen on signing the Nigeria international and have already had an initial bid rejected by Atalanta.

Lookman, who joined the Bergamo club from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022, has demonstrated exceptional goalscoring prowess during his time in Italy, netting 39 goals and providing 21 assists in 93 appearances.

The ‘world-class’ 27-year-old is under contract for another two seasons, until June 2027.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Lookman scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 40 appearances for Atalanta last season.

Tottenham are eyeing several late reinforcements to Thomas Frank’s squad amid Son’s exit to Los Angeles FC and James Maddison’s serious injury on Monday.

The England international was stretchered off during Spurs’ 1-1 friendly draw with Newcastle, and the club are now searching for a replacement, with a £300,000-a-week star reportedly on their radar.

Description

Aston Villa insist that Morgan Rogers is off the market, amid interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

Rogers has enjoyed a sensational spell at Villa Park since his move from Championship side Middlesbrough, and he's naturally starting to attract interest from clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham. Understandably, Villa won't want to lose a player of Rogers' calibre, and if they are under no pressure to sell, they're entitled to demand a significant fee for the English star.

The 22-year-old has been described as 'frightening' by Sky Sports journalist Dan Bardell, and he's quickly become one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League. It's certainly no surprise that clubs are beginning to take a look, but it's going to be a difficult task to prise him away from the Villans this summer.

Aston Villa Insist Morgan Rogers is Off The Market

Villa could demand £100m amid Tottenham and Chelsea interest

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Aston Villa continue to insist that Rogers is completely off the market in this summer transfer window. Chelsea have been very interested in the English versatile star, while Tottenham also have admiration. Spurs see him a great option after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White, who signed a new deal at Nottingham Forest.

Villa are in no mood to enter negotiations for Rogers, especially as he is such an important figure for Unai Emery's plans after an impressive 2024/2025 season. As it stands, any interested party, such as Tottenham or Chelsea, will likely be quoted in the region of £100m as Villa attempt to deter anyone that wants to try and make a move for him this summer.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to advance on talks to add to their attacking department this summer, with AC Milan star Rafael Leao and Real Madrid forward Rodrygo among their targets, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.

The north London club have had a summer of change so far with Thomas Frank appointed to replace Ange Postecoglou as manager, while the Dane has brought in Kota Takai, Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha to strengthen the squad.

But Spurs must now deal with the fact that captain Heung-Min Son has revealed he will leave the club this summer, with GMS sources revealing that a move to LAFC is close to being finalised, and now they are looking to replace him.

Tottenham Keen on Rafael Leao

Deal likely to be too expensive currently

The club have already made Mathys Tel's loan move from Bayern Munich permanent this summer, but after James Maddison suffered what seems like a serious knee injury in their pre-season clash with Newcastle, new attacking reinforcements are desired.

One player who has been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is Milan star Leao, and GMS sources understand that there is a genuine interest in the Portugal international, which has been registered with the Serie A club.

The 26-year-old is still valued highly at Milan ahead of next season, but he set tongues wagging after liking an Instagram post which confirmed his national team teammate Palhinha's move to the club. However, sources understand that a deal is currently seen as being too expensive and is being played down.

Another player the club have been linked to is Brazil international Rodrygo, who could be cheaper than Leao, but it remains to be seen if they firm up their interest in him.

Spurs have spread the net wide to come up with solutions in the latter part of the window, and GMS sources understand that they want to progress this week in their search for new attacking talent.

Tottenham Also Eyeing Grealish

£300,000-a-week wages could complicate deal

Another player who has been identified as a potential late target is Manchester City forward Jack Grealish, who has been made available for a loan or permanent move away from the Etihad Stadium after falling down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.

However, the England star's £300,000-a-week wages could complicate any deal and that is why there has been limited movement on a deal to take him anywhere so far.

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho is someone else the club have checked on in their bid to bolster the attack, but they haven't made any formal contact yet at this point.

Tottenham are exploring a potential summer move for Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish, journalist Ben Knapton has claimed.

The Europa League winners have reportedly submitted an immediate enquiry for the former Aston Villa forward following James Maddison’s injury blow.

Spurs lost the 28-year-old midfielder to a severe-looking injury in Saturday’s 1-1 friendly draw with Newcastle United and are believed to be in the market for a replacement.

While an official diagnosis on Maddison’s injury is yet to be confirmed, Tottenham are already without Dejan Kulusevski due to a knee problem and have reportedly identified Grealish as a potential solution to their injury woes.

Tottenham Eyeing Jack Grealish Deal

After James Maddison’s injury blow

According to Knapton, Tottenham have made immediate contact over a move for Grealish after Maddison’s injury and are believed to have leapfrogged Napoli in the race for the 29-year-old.

The Serie A champions were previously seen as the top contenders to sign Grealish before the transfer deadline, but are claimed to no longer be frontrunners, with interest from the North London club now emerging.

Grealish is expected to leave Man City either permanently or on loan this summer, having struggled to impress under Pep Guardiola last season.

The £300,000-a-week forward scored just three goals and registered five assists in 32 appearances for Man City, making only seven Premier League starts.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Grealish scored once in 20 Premier League games last term.

Tottenham have splashed out around £120m on new signings this summer, with Bayern Munich ace Joao Palhinha the latest arrival.

The Portuguese international joined on a season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent for £27m next summer.
