Tottenham Hotspur could target a move for promising Lyon winger Malick Fofana next year, journalist Mark Brus has revealed.

The North London side are said to be among a host of Premier League and European clubs eyeing the 20-year-old Belgium international, who is expected to be on the move next summer.

Brus claims Fofana is ‘hugely ambitious’ and Lyon have been made aware of his desire to secure a move away from the club in 2026, with initial talks already taking place to sound out potential suitors for the winger.

Fofana is not necessarily a primary target for any club at the moment but is highly regarded by multiple sides across the continent, with Tottenham among the clubs to watch in a potential chase for the £52m-rated forward.

According to Brus, the list of Fofana’s suitors is expected to grow in the coming months, with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City potentially rivalling Tottenham in the race:

“I can reveal, having checked this with other people with ties to the agents industry, that initial talks have already taken place to sound out potential suitors for Fofana.

“The 20-year-old is hugely ambitious and Lyon have been made aware of his ambitions, with multiple sources confirming that next summer is likely to be the one in which he and his representatives try to get a big move.

“Chelsea have been contacted, as have the teams Pena mentioned, Liverpool, Man City and Bayern, and I’ve also been told to look out for Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle United. Expect that list to grow in the months ahead.”

Fofana, who joined Lyon from Belgian side Gent in January 2024, impressed in his debut season in France, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

The ‘explosive’ 20-year-old also enjoyed a prolific debut Europa League campaign, registering eight goal involvements in 10 games, including an assist in the quarter-final against Manchester United.

Fofana, who was once tipped to be the next Lamine Yamal, has been productive in 2025/26 as well, with two goals and an assist in his seven Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon, who are currently fourth in the table.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham’s rumoured interest in Fofana will materialise next year, considering how heavily the North London side has spent on new forwards in recent months.

The Lilywhites have welcomed the likes of Xavi Simons, Mohamed Kudus, and Mathys Tel on permanent deals this summer, as well as Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani on loan.

Spurs Should Bring Kane Back to London

For all his brilliance across a 10-year-plus stint with Tottenham Hotspur, it always felt as though a lack of silverware diminished Harry Kane's general reputation. The England international moved to Bayern Munich in 2023, with whom he has since finally ended his trophy drought.

Not only has Kane, called a "superstar" by Phil McNulty, continued his form in Germany, but if anything, he has improved. The 32-year-old, who is England's record goalscorer, has been lethal in Germany and in the 2025/26 season, has notched 21 goal contributions in just 10 games across all competitions.

Kane's form is enticement enough for any team to want to sign him, but a return to Tottenham would be a fairytale, something that the fans would love to happen. Not only that, but Kane could still feasibly break Alan Shearer's Premier League goal record. Becoming the all-time top scorer of the English top flight may prove too much for Kane to ignore.

Tottenham are showing interest in a surprise move for Brentford forward Kevin Schade, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed.

The North London side are believed to be among several clubs closely monitoring the development of the 23-year-old winger amid his impressive displays at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Schade scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 38 appearances for Brentford last term under current Spurs boss Thomas Frank, and netted his first of the 2025/26 campaign in the 2-2 draw at home against Chelsea in September.

According to Plettenberg, Schade remains one to watch this season, with several teams closely monitoring his development, including Tottenham:

Schade, praised as ‘unbelievable’ by Frank, initially joined Brentford from Bundesliga side Freiburg on loan in January 2023 and had his move made permanent the following summer.

The 23-year-old was one of the most expensive signings the Bees made under Frank, alongside Igor Thiago, Nathan Collins and Fabio Carvalho.

Schade featured in every Premier League game for Brentford last term, helping the club finish 10th in Frank’s final season at the Gtech Community Stadium.

He received a call-up to the Germany squad for the October international break but was not named in the squad for the 4-0 win over Luxembourg on Friday.

Tottenham have made a strong start to the season under Frank, losing just twice in their 11 games in all competitions.

The Lilywhites are unbeaten in their last seven games and secured a 2-1 win away at Leeds before the international break, with Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel scoring.

The North London side next take on Aston Villa at home on 19 October and travel to Monaco in the Champions League three days later.

"And maybe he's doing something simple, in a sense that allowing players just to be a bit freer, maybe taking a bit more pressure on him, and less pressure on the players.

"I think, you know, it's been a great start for them. Who knows what's going to happen. But the main thing is, it's positive."

Spurs will return to action following the international break with a home clash against in-form Aston Villa, before travelling to face off against Monaco in the Champions League in midweek.

Frank has shown an adaptability with his approach so far at Tottenham, playing with several different formations depending on the opponent including a 4-3-3, a 4-2-3-1 and also a five-at-the-back system to be more secure when he felt it necessary.

But the team haven't struggled to score goals, and with Frank bringing attacking talent like Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani to the club it shows that his intention is to play on the front foot and win games.

Tottenham have been approached by Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic’s representatives over a potential summer move, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.

The North London side have reportedly been contacted over a potential deal for the Serbia international via intermediaries, who are looking to find Vlahovic a new club next year.

The 25-year-old’s representatives are believed to have touched base with several potential landing spots, with Vlahovic ready to depart Turin when his contract expires in June 2026.

The Serbia international is said to have earmarked the Premier League as his preferred destination and is not expected to continue at Juventus after this season, following a breakdown in talks over a new contract.

Juventus reportedly asked Vlahovic to take a pay cut if he wanted a long-term extension, as he is the best-paid player at the club, earning a reported £370,000 per week.

According to Bailey, Vlahovic’s next move could depend on whether he is willing to lower his salary demands and accept a pay cut at his next club.

While he would earn ‘major money’ in the Premier League, the Serbia international could only secure more than his current salary at Juventus by moving to Saudi Arabia next summer.

The Middle East has seen an influx of players still in their prime this summer, with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Theo Hernandez, Joao Felix, Kingsley Coman and Mateo Retegui all joining the Saudi Pro League.

Vlahovic, who arrived to Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022, has started the season well, scoring four goals in just two starts for the Italian club, with a further six appearances off the bench.

The Serbia international has faced increased competition for places following the summer arrivals of Jonathan David and Lois Openda and has played just 255 minutes of football so far this term.

The Brazil international is Spurs’ top scorer in the competition and has featured in every game so far, making five starts and two substitute appearances.

Richarlison netted a brace in the 3-0 win over Burnley on the opening weekend of the season and also added another goal in the 2-2 draw at Brighton last month.

The £130,000-a-week forward, who joined Spurs from Everton in the summer of 2022, has made 101 appearances for the North London club to date, scoring 23 goals and providing 11 assists.

He also started in the 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final last term, helping Spurs secure their first major trophy in 17 years.

Reports have recently claimed that Tottenham are eyeing a move to sign Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, who could cost £75m. Spurs would have to smash their transfer record to bring him to the club, but he's certainly a player who could be worth splashing the cash on in the January transfer window.

Semenyo naturally has plenty of interest in him, and if the north London club opt to wait until the summer, they could fall behind in the race to secure his signature. Romano delved into the Portugal international's situation and whether he's likely to extend his stay beyond his loan:

"I think there is a good chance of seeing Palhinha staying at Tottenham in 2026. Then let's see if it's going to be via the option, or maybe they want to re-negotiate with Bayern. It's too early to say, still at the beginning of October, so many months to go before they make any decision."

Frank has spoken highly of Palhinha since his arrival at the club and it's said that all parties are pleased with the deal:

"But internally, the feeling is very positive. Palhinha is happy at Tottenham, and Thomas Frank and Tottenham are also very happy with him. So it's a very, very good deal for all parties involved. And now it's going to be about the agreement with Bayern in 2026, again, it's still early, so let's see how the season will go."

Romano added:

"But the start of this loan deal has been positive, and all parties are more than happy to continue together. So I would be quite optimistic on that one, but again it's still a long season and we have to see what's going to happen next."
