Description

Tottenham are preparing to shift focus in the transfer market, with Thomas Frank now eyeing a new attacking duo valued at over £110 million, as Bryan Mbeumo edges closer to Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to remain active in the summer transfer window, following the confirmed permanent arrivals of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso.

The North London club have been linked with several attacking options, including Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, who is reportedly high on the list of targets drawn up by new Spurs manager Thomas Frank.

However, Tottenham are not alone in their interest, with Manchester United also pursuing the 25-year-old winger. It is understood that Mbeumo has given the green light to a potential switch to Old Trafford.

Tottenham target Tyler Dibling and Antoine Semenyo as Bryan Mbeumo alternatives

With Bryan Mbeumo now favouring a move to Manchester United, GIVEMESPORT reports that Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to alternative options in the market.

According to the outlet, Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling, who Tottenham value at £45 million despite Southampton’s £100 million valuation, and Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo are now the names on the club’s radar, after it became clear that a reunion between Thomas Frank and Mbeumo at Hotspur Way was off the cards.

Spurs’ interest in both Dibling and Semenyo is not new, with the club said to have kept tabs on them since the winter transfer window. The current situation has, however, accelerated those plans.

MORE SPURS STORIES

With Mbeumo unlikely to arrive, GIVEMESPORT now claim that Tottenham have earmarked Semenyo, who registered 16 goal contributions last season, and Dibling, who was one of the Premier League’s standout breakout stars in the campaign just gone, as potential acquisitions for Thomas Frank.

Spurs eye record move for Antoine Semenyo amid Thomas Frank rebuild

Of course, Tottenham are expected to remain very busy throughout the summer, with the club determined to bring in both a left-sided attacker and a right forward before the new Premier League season gets underway.

There is a possibility that Heung-min Son could depart, and although Mathys Tel has committed to a new six-year deal, Spurs are said to be focused on adding more firepower to the final third.

It has also been reported that if Tottenham were to sign Antoine Semenyo this summer, he would have to be their record signing, as Bournemouth are understood to be demanding a fee in excess of £65 million for the winger, and are under no financial pressure to sell.

Description

Sheffield United are plotting a double swoop for Tottenham starlets this summer, as Ruben Selles eyes new recruits to kickstart a promotion push at Bramall Lane.

While Tottenham will be looking to strengthen their squad with fresh additions during the summer window, several outgoings are also expected across the first-team and youth ranks.

Richarlison continues to attract interest, with clubs abroad monitoring his situation, and Radu Dragusin is understood to be drawing attention from AC Milan, as they look to bolster their squad under new manager Massimiliano Allegri.

Although a few experienced names could leave Hotspur Way, several of the club’s talented young players, who are still working their way towards senior minutes, might also find themselves departing in search of game time.

Sheffield United targeting Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine in Tottenham transfer raid

According to a fresh report from The Star, Sheffield United are weighing up moves for Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine as part of a planned rebuild under newly appointed manager Ruben Selles, after the club parted ways with Chris Wilder.

The Championship outfit are facing a major squad reshuffle, with six loan players having returned to their parent clubs following the end of last season and no replacements yet secured, leaving gaps across key areas.

Ashley Phillips, 19, who spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Stoke City, and Alfie Devine, who played for Belgian side Westerlo, have both been identified as potential signings by the Blades, who are aiming to secure a return to the Premier League.

It has also been revealed that Entrepreneur James Bord, a known Tottenham supporter, is reported to be playing a key role in negotiations, with suggestions that he has helped initiate Sheffield United’s pursuit of Phillips and Devine.

However, the Blades are not the only side in the Championship with Tottenham connections. West Bromwich Albion, who recently appointed former Spurs assistant Ryan Mason as their new manager, could also look to raid his former club for young talent.

We have previously identified five players who may be of interest to Mason as he assembles his West Brom squad for the coming campaign.

Elsewhere in the EFL, former Tottenham forward Gareth Bale has been linked with Plymouth Argyle, amid talk of a possible ownership stake in the League One club.

Tottenham fans all say the same thing about latest Heung-min Son exit rumours - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham fans have delivered their verdict on the Heung-min Son exit rumours, and it is clear that there is one thing on every supporter’s mind – the final call must rest with him.

According to recent reports, Heung-min Son may depart from Tottenham Hotspur this season, after his decade-long spell in north London.

Interest from Saudi Arabia remains in Son, while Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce is keen on reuniting with the Tottenham captain once more this summer.

With interest aplenty, Son has a decision to make, and now Tottenham fans have given their verdict on whether they want the Korean forward to remain for one more season or if he should leave this summer.

Tottenham fans react to Heung-min Son exit talk

Speaking on X, formerly Twitter, the Spurs fanbase voiced their opinion on the recent reports stating that Thomas Frank is open to selling Heung-min Son this transfer window.

While some believe that the 32-year-old can leave, other supporters believe that the club’s captain should not be forced out of N17.

One fan said: “The comments make me sad. It does not matter what we want, just hope he gets to make the decision on his own, with no pressure. It is the least he deserves from the amount of times he has stayed when he could have gone.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

Another said: “Absolutely the right time. Tel, Odobert and Moore on the left and then move the Son money to the right. To caveat, in absolutely no way should we be forcing him, the guy is a f**king legend and has earned the right to call time on his Spurs career when it is right for him.”

One fan believes now is the time to sell: “Sell, it is a business and making money on all transactions is important.”

Another echoed the popular sentiment that he has to decide: “Content for it to be Son making the choice here because at this stage it would need to be something he is good with. Unquestionable decline but he has still got a lot to offer.”

Another believed since it is a new era, the club captain could leave: “Much like selling Kane when Ange came in, I think selling Son now that Frank is here is logical. Ushering in a new era, with new stars and a new core.”

The state of Son’s Spurs legacy as exit talk grows

Of course, Son is a legend of Tottenham Hotspur. The 32-year-old has given his peak years to Spurs, scoring 173 goals, the fifth most in the club’s history, after making 454 appearances, the sixth highest of any Tottenham player.

Last season, the Spurs captain secured his legacy as a club legend when he hoisted the Europa League trophy high up under the lights in Bilbao, Spain.

Despite the winger’s drop-off in form, his loyalty to Tottenham cannot be questioned, as Son remained in Spurs despite receiving offers from elsewhere.

Indeed, like many fans have alluded to, the Korean forward needs to be treated like a legend, and the least Tottenham can do is let him leave on his terms. Whether or not Son departs this summer remains to be seen.

Every Premier League game Tottenham play before and after Champions League clashes - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham fans finally have a full view of their Champions League journey this season – and the domestic fixtures that could define how well they juggle Europe with the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur now know exactly how their 2025/26 fixtures are expected to pan out during the upcoming season.

The first five games are tricky for Tottenham, but we expect them to pick up at least ten points from fifteen, which would place them in fifth position when comparing their fixtures with the rest of the so-called “big six”.

The period of mid-October to mid-November is also set to be a hectic one for Tottenham, who will have to navigate a series of tough games, in a period that could ultimately shape how their season unfolds.

Regardless, there are still plenty of fixtures for Spurs fans to look forward to in the 2025/26 campaign and with Champions League football added to the mix, it promises to be an exciting season.

We have now taken the time to analyse the recent fixture list and have identified the various ties Tottenham will be involved in during their European journey. Let us take a look.

Of course, thanks to their Europa League triumph last season, Tottenham now have a Saturday to Tuesday/Wednesday schedule, moving away from the Thursday to Sunday rhythm they had to deal with last term.

This upcoming campaign, these are the expected Champions League weeks:

As for the Premier League fixtures surrounding each Champions League tie, here is how the calendar looks:

Spurs boss Frank to face new test balancing UCL and Premier League

Thomas Frank is expected to face a demanding schedule next season, a scenario he has not previously experienced, given that Brentford never had European commitments during his time in charge.

Finding the right balance between Champions League football and the Premier League will be one of the major hurdles Frank must overcome, especially if the Lilywhites are to remain competitive on all fronts.

A bigger and more robust squad would certainly be essential for Tottenham if they are to give a good account of themselves both domestically and in Europe.

That is why this summer’s transfer window and the upcoming preseason take on even more importance, because failure to prepare adequately could see them fall short in what is a critical 2025/26 campaign.

Thomas Frank’s record vs Premier League big six ahead of new Tottenham challenge

Thomas Frank’s record vs Premier League big six ahead of new Tottenham challenge - Spurs Web
Description

With Tottenham’s Premier League fixtures for the 25/26 season announced, we have now decided to take a look at new head coach Thomas Frank’s record against the league’s “big six”, comparing his record with his predecessor.

On 17 June, Tottenham Hotspur’s chairman, Daniel Levy, stated that Thomas Frank was the club’s preferred managerial choice, despite having 30 candidates lined up for the Spurs job.

Levy also highlighted that it remains the club’s goal to win both the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League, and for every Tottenham fan, they will be hoping their side can reach those heights sooner rather than later.

With Thomas Frank in the dugout, Spurs would certainly be aiming for a much improved showing from their league performance last season, where they finished 17th after suffering 22 defeats.

But it will not be easy for the Lilywhites to mount a serious title charge just yet, especially with European commitments to juggle, making a top-six finish a more realistic prospect for the incoming Danish manager.

However, if Frank is to compete with the so-called “big six”, he must also be able to consistently pick up points against them. We have now sat down to analyse how the Danish manager has fared against the Premier League’s top sides.

Thomas Frank’s Premier League record vs big six sides

Naturally, given that Frank has often taken on the Premier League’s top sides with a comparatively weaker Brentford squad, the results have generally gone the way of the bigger teams.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, interestingly, Thomas Frank has managed to record at least one win against every Big Six side he has faced in the Premier League.

Chelsea are the side he has beaten most, with Frank recording three victories in nine meetings with the Blues, earning an average of 1.33 points per game.

Manchester United and Manchester City come next, as Frank has secured two wins apiece against both, from eight matches each, averaging 0.88 points per game in those encounters.

Meanwhile, he has managed just one win each against Arsenal and Liverpool during his time in the top flight.

Ange Postecoglou’s record vs big six sides in comparison

When compared to his predecessor, both managers have recorded nine wins against the big six, although Ange Postecoglou achieved that tally in fewer matches.

However, when you take into account the disparity in resources available to both men, it comes as little surprise that the Australian was able to produce that return.

Notably, five of Postecoglou’s nine wins came against Manchester United, a side he has only lost to once during his time as manager.

Yet, he struggled in derby matches, as he failed to win a single game against Chelsea or Arsenal, picking up just one point from eight encounters with the club’s London rivals.

Why Daniel Levy remained silent on Ange Postecoglou for so long, revealed - Spurs Web
Description

A new report has now shed light on why Daniel Levy decided against putting his name on the announcement of Ange Postecoglou’s sacking, and why the Tottenham chairman remained silent about the matter until this week.

The debate on whether Tottenham Hotspur were right to pull the plug on the Australian’s project continues to rage on, with some Spurs fans feeling that Postecoglou deserved the chance to build on his Europa League success.

However, Levy ultimately decided to sack the 59-year-old after the Lilywhites endured their worst-ever Premier League campaign, finishing just one spot away from the relegation zone with 22 defeats.

Alasdair Gold had revealed last week that some at Tottenham were surprised that Levy did not put his name on the announcement about Postecoglou’s sacking.

Why Daniel Levy remained silent on Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham departure

The Times have now pointed out that the Spurs chairman was very much part of the meeting, after which they curated the Postecoglou announcement, and he personally approved the final draft of the announcement.

The outlet says that the idea of not putting his name to the decision was intended to take the emotion out of the announcement.

The report reveals that one Tottenham spokesperson said the decision to sack the Australian was made as a collective by the club’s football management group rather than by the 63-year-old.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The spokesperson argued that it would thus not be appropriate for Levy to comment on the decision to sack Tottenham’s first trophy-winning manager in 17 years.

However, Levy finally broke his silence on Postecoglou’s Tottenham exit this week in an interview with new CEO Vinai Venkatesham.

He said: “I am very grateful to Ange. I do not regret appointing Ange. In his first season, we finished fifth. In his second season, we were over the moon to win a trophy. But we need to compete in all competitions, and we felt that we needed a change.

“I have got an excellent relationship with him. I told him you are always going to be a part of our history; he and his family are always welcome back. It was a collective decision; it was not my decision, we do everything together.

“Emotionally, it was very difficult, but we believe we have made the right decision for the club.”

Levy did not decide to hire Ange Postecoglou

Interestingly, it has been revealed over recent weeks that the decision to appoint Postecoglou was made by Scott Munn rather than Levy.

According to reports, Munn is expected to step down from his role as Tottenham’s chief football officer after Vinai Venkatesham took over as the new Spurs CEO.

However, the Tottenham supporters will feel that the buck stops with Levy regarding the managerial decisions, as he is the one who brought Munn into the club.

Description

Tottenham are actively working on a move for FC Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji, as the club eyes a potential summer bargain for the highly-rated teenager.

Roony Bardghji is a youngster who has attracted loads of interest from clubs across Europe this summer, as his contract is set to expire in the next six months.

It is reported that Bardghji is not keen on extending his stay at Copenhagen, which has only sparked interest in his services, with Porto and Marseille said to be keen on landing the Sweden international this summer window.

Tottenham, of course, have also been linked with the winger, as it was reported that Spurs may put in an offer for Roony Bardghji this transfer window.

Tottenham pushing to sign Roony Bardghji despite competition from Marseille and Porto

With the player attracting interest from multiple clubs, it has made Tottenham’s pursuit of the youngster very complicated.

A few days back, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Olympique Marseille, who will be playing in the Champions League next season, have made initial contacts with Copenhagen over a potential move for the Swedish youngster.

FC Porto, on the other hand, are reported to have put in a bid for Bardghji, but it is claimed that a deal is not advanced at this stage.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Regardless of interest from elsewhere, TBR Football have now claimed that interest in Roony Bardghji remains in England, and that Tottenham Hotspur are one of those who are doing work on a deal for the 19-year-old.

Of course, Spurs’ interest in the teenager goes back a long way, with reports stating that the Lilywhites have been keeping tabs on Bardghji since 2023.

With only six months left on his contract, it is clear that if Tottenham are to make a move for him now, they would be able to secure his services at a bargain price.

Former Spurs coach wants to take Manor Solomon off Tottenham’s hands

Former Spurs coach wants to take Manor Solomon off Tottenham’s hands - Spurs Web
Description

Amidst suggestions that Thomas Frank may hand Manor Solomon a Tottenham lifeline, a new report has now claimed that another Premier League side have entered the race for the Spurs winger.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a fabulous campaign on loan at Leeds United, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists to help the Yorkshire club secure the Championship title.

It was widely reported earlier this summer that Leeds would make a permanent move for Solomon ahead of their Premier League campaign.

However, over the last few days, several outlets have claimed that Thomas Frank is prepared to hand Solomon a chance to impress in pre-season.

Tottenham have Manor Solomon interest from Burnley

Former Tottenham and Man United scout Mick Brown, who remains well connected with those who work in the game, has now revealed that Scott Parker wants to take the Israeli international to Burnley.

He explained that the Clarets are in danger of losing some attackers, with the former Spurs academy coach identifying Solomon as someone who can add firepower to his side’s attack ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Brown told Football Insider: “Burnley are now interested in signing Solomon. A few of their better players have been linked with moves away, which is a concern, but they want to strengthen the squad as well. Scott Parker is looking at attacking reinforcements, and he is on their list.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Of course, the interest from Leeds is there because he had a very successful loan spell with them. Those two aren’t going to be the only interested clubs because of how impressive he was.

“It doesn’t look like he’ll be a regular for Tottenham, so they can provide the opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League which might tempt him to move. From Spurs’ point of view, it will depend on which club makes the best offer.”

What does Solomon want to do this summer?

The former Shakhtar Donetsk man might thus be faced with a choice of whether to remain a bit-part player at Spurs or get regular game time at Leeds or Burnley.

According to some sources, Solomon’s preference would be to remain at Tottenham if Frank sees a first-team role for him.

Tottenham willing to spend big to beat Barcelona to £30m Brazilian international - Spurs Web
Description

Barcelona are pressing forward with a move for a Tottenham target, but the Lilywhites are now prepared to spend big to beat the Catalan side to the player’s signature.

It has been reported over recent days that Thomas Frank’s number one priority this summer is to improve Tottenham’s attack, and that explains why we have seen several top-class attackers being linked with a move to N17.

However, it turns out that Spurs are also looking to sign a player in a position where they are fairly well-stocked. Tottenham have Pedro Porro and Djed Spence for the right-back spot, while Archie Gray has also filled in there on a few occasions.

Despite this, reports over recent weeks have claimed that Spurs have their eye on Monaco right-back Vanderson, who is expected to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer.

Tottenham prepared to ‘invest heavily’ in Vanderson

According to a report in UOL, Tottenham Hotspur are now locked in a transfer battle with Barcelona for the Monaco man’s signature.

The report claims that both clubs are keen on landing Vanderson, with Barca intensifying talks over a deal for the 23-year-old.

The outlet says that Hansi Flick’s men have to be wary of interest from Tottenham, who are still ‘firmly in the running’ to sign the Brazilian.

MORE SPURS STORIES

In fact, it is alleged that the North London club are willing to ‘invest heavily’ in Vanderson, who is valued at €35m (£30m) by Monaco.

Monaco prefer to sell Vanderson to Tottenham

UOL say that the Ligue 1 side prefers to do a deal with Spurs over Barca, presumably because the Premier League side are ready to offer more for the defender.

However, it is explained that Moncao would have to convince Vanderson regarding a move to N17 as the player has his heart set on a move to Camp Nou.

The publication adds that the La Liga champions are ‘counting on the player’s preference to play for the club’ as they push ahead with talks.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to part ways with Ange Postecoglou continues to divide opinion, but former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan believes the club have made the wrong call in appointing Thomas Frank as his successor.

The debate on whether or not Ange Postecoglou should have been sacked as manager of Tottenham Hotspur continues to ring loud.

Of course, it is a conversation worth having, as Tottenham axed the very manager who ended a 17-year wait for silverware, after he won Spurs the Europa League, beating Manchester United in Bilbao, Spain.

However, it has since been revealed by Tottenham that the decision to sack Postecoglou was not an easy one, as the club were much aware of the emotional attachment and sentiment Ange had with fans after giving them one of their most cherished memories in recent years.

Simon Jordan says Spurs made the wrong call replacing Ange Postecoglou

Performance-related reasons, particularly in the Premier League, were stated as the reason why Spurs chose to cut ties with Ange Postecoglou, as the Australian picked up a rather poor 78 points from his last 66 games, a record that is not good enough for a club of Spurs‘ stature.

Ben Davies has since come out to urge the players to move on, while Harry Redknapp has slammed the Spurs players for not doing enough to keep Postecoglou in his job.

With the Australian manager gone, Tottenham have since appointed Thomas Frank as the new head coach, but Simon Jordan believes that Spurs have appointed the wrong manager.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The talkSport co-host believes that Oliver Glasner, one of the managers on Tottenham’s shortlist, would have been a better hire, stating that his FA Cup win gives him an edge over Frank.

He said as relayed on talkSport: “I am sorry Crystal Palace fans but I would have gone that way. It is a difficult one to contextualise about the upgrade because they have won something but Brentford have finished above them in the league and it becomes by which metric do you measure this upgrade?

“Clearly they think it is an upgrade otherwise Ange Postecoglou would still be in the job and this fellow would not be. It is a very easy answer to give and both of us are giving it and we will find out.

“Again it is by what metric. If you want your team at the upper end of the Premier League at all costs, then the answer probably is yes.

“If you want them to win something again, I do not know. I do not know.”

What Thomas Frank must prove at Spurs after replacing Postecoglou

Of course, Thomas Frank has not managed a major trophy throughout his managerial career, with a single promotion cup with Brentford being the closest thing to a piece of silverware.

However, the manager has proven throughout his career that he can punch above his weight, as he kept Brentford in the Premier League since he got them promoted back in 2021.

While Simon Jordan clearly favours Glasner, several former Tottenham players, including Jermain Defoe, have labelled Frank as the perfect manager for Spurs at the moment.

Meanwhile, Martin O’Neill also chimed in, admitting that time will tell whether Frank is an upgrade on Postecoglou.

The former Aston Villa manager added: “Only time will tell, like everything else. I cannot read into the future.

“If you are asking me if Thomas Frank deserved the opportunity to manage a bigger club than Brentford, if that is the case, what he has done at Brentford, I would suggest yes, he has earned that right.

“If he goes and wins a big competition for Tottenham Hotspur and has better results in the Premier League, then you would have to say that is right but that is in the future.”
