Description

Opta’s Supercomputer has given its prediction on how likely Tottenham Hotspur are to return to winning ways against Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Spurs have suffered two back-to-back defeats since the players returned from the international break.

However, trips to the Emirates and Parc des Princes are two of the toughest challenges that Thomas Frank’s men will face all season.

Despite falling to their first Champions League defeat of the season on Wednesday, Frank found plenty of positives in Tottenham’s performance against PSG.

How likely are Tottenham to beat Fulham in the Premier League?

The Lilywhites now have an easier test on paper up ahead next, with Marco Silva’s men set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs find themselves sitting in 9th place in the Premier League table, but a win against the Cottagers could take them back up to fourth, providing other results go their way.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Opta’s algorithm has installed Tottenham as big favourites, giving the home side a 53.2 per cent chance of getting a win on Saturday.

The supercomputer has said a draw is the second most likely result at 24 per cent, while Fulham have been handed a 22.8 per cent chance of inflicting another home loss on the North London side.

Spurs desperately need a win in front of their home fans

Tottenham’s home form this season has been relegation-worthy, with the club winless in front of their own fans since the opening day of the season.

They thought they had secured that long-awaited home win against Man United three weeks ago, only to concede from a set-piece late on.

Spurs desperately need a good performance and a win on Saturday to arrest their slide. Another loss at home would be hard for Frank to recover from, as the atmosphere at the stadium could turn toxic.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League duty this weekend against Fulham, and fans will be desperate to kickstart some positive home form. Here’s how to watch the clash between Tottenham and Fulham.

Attention now turns to Premier League action for Tottenham Hotspur after their latest defeat at the hands of Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.

It was definitely a much better showing than what was on display at the weekend against Arsenal, but Spurs will be desperate to get a win on the board, as they have managed just the one victory in their last five outings.

Fulham are up next for Frank in what is another London derby, and fans will be hoping that this time they are the ones coming away with the bragging rights after having suffered back-to-back derby day defeats to both Arsenal and Chelsea.

When and where Tottenham vs Fulham takes place

Tottenham will host Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, 29 November 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (UK time).

How to watch Tottenham vs Fulham in the Premier League

Supporters in the United Kingdom can watch Tottenham vs Fulham live on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.

Team news for Spurs and Fulham

Tottenham’s injury situation remains the same, with Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, Kota Takai and Ben Davies all out, with a return set for December.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Radu Dragusin is not yet available to take part, and James Maddison is not set to feature until next year, while Yves Bissouma’s return date is unknown.

Cristian Romero will also miss the league fixture, as he serves a one-game ban after picking up five yellow cards in the opening twelve games of the season.

For Fulham, Antonee Robinson is sidelined with a knee injury, while Rodrigo Muniz is unavailable because of a hamstring issue.

Spurs Web prediction for Tottenham vs Fulham

Tottenham need to secure a victory here if they are to avoid falling into the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Fulham have a much better record than Spurs in their last five games coming into this match, with Marco Silva’s men picking up six points from a possible fifteen, while Tottenham have managed just four from fifteen.

Frank is under pressure, and the result in this league fixture could either ease some of that pressure or pile more on him, and a victory is a non-negotiable.

What Tottenham need to do to qualify for automatic Champions League knockouts - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are still very much in the race for an automatic spot in the round of 16 of the Champions League despite their defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.

Spurs’ 5-3 loss to PSG was the first defeat of their Champions League campaign and leaves Thomas Frank’s men in 16th place.

Finishing in the top eight will ensure direct passage to the round of 16 stage, while teams who finish from nine to 24 will play an additional playoff round.

Spurs will still believe they have a great chance of securing a top-eight finish, given the fixtures they have left.

How many of their three Champions League games do Tottenham need to win?

Despite being in 16th place in the table, Spurs are just two points off a top-eight spot after five fixtures.

The Lilywhites have two back-to-back home games against Slavia Prague and Borussia Dortmund up next before travelling to Eintracht Frankfurt in the final game of the league phase.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Winning two of their three remaining games would see Spurs finish with 14 points, which could still give them a smaller chance of squeezing into the top eight.

One more win will be enough for Spurs to secure passage into the knockouts

Slavia Prague are languishing in 31st place in the table, having accumulated just three points in their five matches so far.

Tottenham will fancy their chances of beating the Czech side at home, and doing so will take them up to 11 points.

That tally is almost certain to be enough for a top 24 spot, which will take the North Londoners into the knockouts and leave them potentially needing just one more win from their remaining two matches for a top eight finish.

Archie Gray offers Thomas Frank his full support amid attacking concerns at Tottenham - Spurs Web
Description

Archie Gray has backed Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank for the way he chooses to set up his team, despite the recent criticism directed at the Dane.

Thomas Frank was praised for his ability to adapt in order to defeat an opponent when he first became the Tottenham Hotspur manager.

Despite this, the ex-Brentford boss has recently been criticised for managing Spurs as if they were his former club, due to his decision to prioritise winning duels over getting forwards.

Tottenham were lambasted after an abysmal North London derby display last weekend, but there was a clear desire to play on the front foot against PSG in the Champions League.

Archie Gray throws his support behind Thomas Frank at Tottenham

There has been unrest among the Tottenham fanbase due to Frank’s cautious approach to the game. However, Archie Gray has no problems following his manager’s rigid style.

Although the 18-year-old acknowledges that playing defensive football is not always desirable, it can be necessary when facing the very best teams in Europe.

He told Football London: “The coaching staff have been absolutely brilliant with everyone, especially improving our individual games and stuff like that.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Last season was a tough season, obviously it ended really well but a lot of tough moments in the season, especially for me playing centre-back and all these different positions, which I’m grateful for but there were loads of setbacks.

“It is just things to learn from and the coaching staff this year have been really helpful with individual plans and stuff like that.

“I think every club wants to play entertaining football and sometimes when you play teams like PSG you obviously have to alter that a little bit.

“They are the champions of Europe, so they have that individual quality where they can take you apart in literally one moment.

“Obviously, we all want to play entertaining football, but sometimes you might have to adapt that for certain games and we’re 100 per cent with the coaching staff and the manager.”

Spurs will need to be creative against Fulham

Gray may be content playing a less attractive game in order to survive a beating from teams like PSG. However, Tottenham ought to be playing good football against a Fulham team who sit in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Saturday will provide Spurs with a different kind of test, and there needs to be good energy and creativity on display. Especially since another league game spent on the back foot would not go down well with the supporters.

Description

Thomas Frank has now revealed whether Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall have done enough to start together for Tottenham in the Premier League.

Thomas Frank rang the changes ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, as he sought a response from his team.

Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray were amongst those who came into Frank’s side, as the Dane reverted from his 3-4-3 setup in the derby day defeat last weekend to Arsenal.

Both youngsters have had their struggles after being sidelined because of injuries, but their return to the side brought some much-needed energy and freshness to Tottenham’s game.

Thomas Frank reveals whether Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are ready for Premier League starts

The duo were involved in Tottenham’s opening goal, following a neat exchange at the byline before Gray picked out Randal Kolo Muani at the back post, who then assisted Richarlison for the opener.

Gray was also involved in the second for Spurs, as his glancing touch was headed onto the crossbar before it fell kindly to the feet of Kolo Muani, who volleyed home.

Such performances will not go unnoticed, and Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has opened up on whether the pair could be involved at the weekend against Fulham.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to the official Tottenham channel, Frank introduced his thoughts by highlighting the level required to start in the Premier League before offering a firm indication of what their midweek showing meant to him.

He said, “I think if you perform like you did against the European champions away from home, you are ready to start in the Premier League.”

Tottenham selection calls involving Gray and Bergvall

It remains to be seen if both players will feature again from the off as they did in the midweek.

The inclusion of both Gray and Bergvall saw some big names dropped, as Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Joao Palhinha were left on the bench by Frank.

Tottenham should be thrilled with referee chosen for Fulham clash, 70% win record - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have found out who will be refereeing their clash against Fulham on Saturday, and the North London club’s supporters will be encouraged by the announcement.

Even though Spurs conceded five goals against Paris Saint-Germain and fell to the first defeat of their Champions League campaign, they can take a few positives from Wednesday’s clash.

That is certainly the feeling that the Tottenham head coach has, with Thomas Frank pleased with the way Spurs responded after their derby humiliation last Sunday.

The Lilywhites desperately need a win at home in the Premier League, and they have what they will see as a winnable game on paper, with Fulham set to travel to N17.

Stuart Attwell will officiate Tottenham vs Fulham

The Premier League have confirmed that Stuart Attwell will referee the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, and he will be assisted by Constantine Hatzidakis and Nick Hopton.

Michael Salisbury will be the fourth official, while VAR will be managed by Andy Madley, with Sian Massey-Ellis as the assistant VAR.

Attwell has taken charge of 23 Tottenham matches throughout his career, out of which Spurs have won 16, drawn three and lost four.

MORE SPURS STORIES

More relevantly, Attwell has not been quick to reach for his pocket, having handed out just 40 bookings for Spurs players while never brandishing a single red card.

Senior Spurs man suspended for Fulham clash and three more are in danger

Cristian Romero is suspended for Tottenham’s clash against Fulham, having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the North London derby.

Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha and Kevin Danso have three yellow cards to their name in the Premier League, and are edging close to a suspension.

Attwell’s tendency to avoid going to the notebook will be welcome news for the trio, who could all come into the starting line-up against Fulham after being left out against PSG.

Opta’s Supercomputer has revised its prediction on where Tottenham will finish in the league phase of the Champions League following their 5-3 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain.

Tottenham’s loss against PSG was their first defeat of the Champions League campaign, and leaves the Lilywhites with eight points after five matches.

They sit in 16th place in the table, with Spurs needing to finish in the top 24 to qualify for the knockout stages.

They are still very much in touching distance of the top eight, who will get direct passage through to the round of 16, with Sporting Lisbon in eighth place having just two points more than Thomas Frank’s side.

Opta’s Supercomputer expects Tottenham to progress to the knockout phase

Opta have now predicted based on various metrics that the Lilywhites will finish the league phase in 15th place, accumulating an expected 12.83 points.

That will mean that the North London side will have to play an additional knockout round to make it into the final 16.

The data analysis platform has given Spurs an 83.18 per cent chance of finishing in the top 24 and qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition.

MORE SPURS STORIES

One more win may be enough for Spurs to qualify for next round

However, they may also need to win one of their two other remaining games against Borussia Dortmund at home or Eintracht Frankfurt away if they want to secure direct passage to the round of 16.

Tottenham fans turn on Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur for ‘shameless’ decision - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have now delivered a fierce reaction to Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur after what unfolded at full-time in Paris.

Thomas Frank has since revealed that he was pleased with the response of his side on Wednesday night against PSG, despite the 5-3 loss.

It was indeed a much-improved performance from what was witnessed on Sunday in the north London derby, where Arsenal thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 4-1.

Against Paris Saint-Germain, however, Spurs showed some fight, going in front twice, but individual mistakes from a few players ultimately cost Frank’s men.

Tottenham fans react to Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur

Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur were poor against PSG, with the Tottenham captain responsible for three of PSG’s goals.

After the match, while other Tottenham players were applauding the away support, both Romero and Bentancur instead headed for the tunnel, and Spurs fans have now shared their reaction to that.

One fan reflected on Romero’s display and suggested he avoided the supporters, stating: “Romero knows he had a stinker and was avoiding the crowd.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

while another felt the mood in the squad was off, adding: “They just do not look happy at the moment in general. It is not a happy squad. Something very strange going on.”

Another fan questioned Romero’s leadership with a particularly blunt take, saying: “Really?? And avoiding the cameras the last 2 games? Some leader that is.”

While one more blamed both players for the defensive issues, commenting: “They both were the reason our defence looked so bad. They know it, shameless.”

A further supporter did not hold back either, stating: “No surprise there. Been s**t both of them recently”, while another simply added: “Sell them both!”

Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur need to step up

Cristian Romero definitely needs to put in better performances in a Tottenham shirt, given his role as captain.

Bentancur, on the other hand, needs to step up, as he has been poor in recent games for Spurs, with Wednesday’s performance another in a series of subpar displays.

Thomas Frank urged to break Tottenham diamond to get two stars back in the team

Description

Joe Hart has made an interesting comment about the system that Tottenham Hotspur employed in their 5-3 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

Frank has stuck with the 4-2-3-1 in most matches this season and has occasionally played five at the back, as he did at the Emirates last Sunday.

However, against PSG, the Tottenham boss used a new system, with the Lilywhites setting up in a 4-2-2-2 with a narrow midfield, while Randal Kolo Muani partnered Richarlison upfront.

Although Spurs ended up on the losing side, one can argue that the tactical change worked, given the fact that they held their own for large parts of the game.

Joe Hart claims Tottenham cannot play the same system against Fulham

The Lilywhites certainly looked a lot more aggressive and offered more going forward than they did in the North London derby, with Frank seeing plenty of positives in Tottenham’s performance against PSG.

However, Hart does not believe that the Dane can afford to play the same team at home against Fulham on Saturday.

The former Spurs goalkeeper suggested that two Tottenham players have to come back into Frank’s starting eleven against the Cottagers.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Hart told TNT Sports 3 (26/11/25): “I can’t see them (Tottenham) using it against Fulham, they’ve got to look to use their attacking players and their attacking flair, I think fair enough, maybe Newcastle away.

“I think teams accept that, when they’re coming up against it, but I don’t think the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be ready for a defensive 4-4-2, and they need to be on that front foot on Saturday night.

“I think the likes of Kudus are going to be very important to get into the team, and they need to find a way to get Xavi Simons in.”

Thomas Frank will be relieved by Spurs’ improving injury situation

According to Transfermarkt, Tottenham have been the worst-hit side with injuries across Europe’s top five leagues this season.

That is perhaps one of the factors that have not been considered enough by pundits and fans while assessing Frank’s start to life at Tottenham.

Description

Thomas Frank has lavished praise on two Tottenham young guns after their performance in the Champions League clash at Parc de Princes on Wednesday.

For several months now, Tottenham fans have been calling on Frank to break up the Joao Palhinha-Rodrigo Bentancur partnership, due to their shortcomings in possession.

The Dane decided to do just that against PSG, leaving Palhinha out of his starting eleven and handing starts to both Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.

Sarr also found a place in Frank’s starting line-up, with the Lilywhites setting up in a 4-2-2-2 formation, with Randal Kolo Muani partnering Richarlison upfront.

Thomas Frank reveals what stood out about Tottenham duo Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall

Gray and Bergvall did not look fazed against the reigning European champions, showing bravery in possession and bursting forward whenever they got the opportunity to do so.

Frank admitted that he has always believed in the talent of the two teenagers, but confessed that their mentality and character stood out against PSG.

When he was asked about the fearlessness of Gray and Bergvall, the Tottenham boss told Football.London: “Very impressive. Two young players, said from the beginning, that I believe a lot in. Archie was there ready before Monaco and then unfortunately picked up the calf injury. So we’ve been waiting for him to be ready again.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Today, he showed a lot. The way the two of them set up the first goal was also joyful to watch, but the mobility, technical, ball handling, mentality, character, I liked it.”

Frank reveals reason for his midfield selections against PSG

Wednesday’s clash in Paris was just the second time that Sarr, Bergvall and Gray have started together this season.

Frank explained that he decided to play the trio since he wanted Tottenham to press PSG man-to-man and have running power in the middle of the park.

When asked about playing the three Spurs youngsters in midfield, Frank responded: “I think the main bit was a little bit the game plan that we wanted for running midfielders. Not a winger, just because of the dynamic to follow their man-man pressure.

“That was one thing. And then because I knew when we wanted them in these open spaces, they’re such willing runners, that definitely helped in the spaces they created from there.”
