Description

Tottenham have been keeping a close eye on Southampton’s teenage talent Tyler Dibling, and now, the teenager’s likely destination this summer has been revealed by Ben Jacobs.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a fair few Premier League wingers during this summer window, which shows the club’s clear intent to strengthen in attack.

Tyler Dibling’s name has often been floated as a potential option for Tottenham, with reports going rife, particularly in the winter window, where Spurs were reported to have even submitted a bid for Dibling.

The 19-year-old youngster did impress during his time in the Premier League last season with Southampton, scoring two goals and assisting one for a side that struggled in the English top flight last campaign and were relegated.

Tottenham shift focus from Tyler Dibling as Premier League clubs show interest

While Tottenham are reported to value Dibling at around £40 million, it is understood that Southampton want £100 million for the wide player who is capable of playing as a right winger, a centre-forward and a ten.

Spurs are not willing to meet Southampton’s demand for Dibling, and other Premier League clubs have now joined in the pursuit of the youngster.

It is understood that Newcastle United, Liverpool and Crystal Palace are now the ones battling it out for 19-year-old Dibling, with Tottenham’s interest now firmly fixed elsewhere.

Spurs remain a possible destination for Dibling but not at £100m

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs has now revealed where he believes Dibling would end up next season, following interest from Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.

The journalist claims that Spurs remain ones to watch in the race for Dibling, particularly if the Lilywhites are keen on adding more depth to the right side of their attack.

Ben Jacobs does believe that the most concrete interest in Tyler Dibling comes from Tottenham, but a move from Manchester United should not be ruled out if the 19-year-old is not poached come August. However, he states that sides outside the Premier League remain keen, including Leipzig.

He told Betway: “Southampton are sort of grandstanding here and saying they want £100 million, which is making it difficult for clubs to get a really clear read of what may or may not be possible.

“Tottenham are certainly serious about Dibling and their belief is that he should be the same price as they paid for James Maddison when Leicester went down, which is £40 million, £45 million.

“Now Antoine Semenyo has signed a new deal at Bournemouth, and Brian Mbeumo only wants Manchester United, Tottenham could move for Dibling on that right-hand side in addition to signing a more central player like Mohammad Kudus. So they are ones to watch.

“Newcastle really appreciate Dibling as well, and are also struggling to get a right-sided player. Their desire to bring Dibling was more under Dan Ashworth, and now Paul Mitchell is leaving, so a lot for Newcastle, in terms of whether they revisit Dibling, may depend on who their new sporting director is, but they certainly hold a historical interest.

“It is true that Palace like the 19-year-old as well, and I would add Manchester United as well. Dibling is a player that Jason Wilcox knows very well indeed, so do not discount Manchester United entering the race, even though at the moment they are more focused on getting Mbeumo over the line and then adding a striker.

“But if Dibling is still a Southampton player, perhaps in late July or early August, do not be surprised if we hear a bit more about Manchester United starting to advance a bit more on Dibling.

“But for now, it is probably fair to say that the most concrete interest out of the Premier League clubs comes from Tottenham. And then you also have Leipzig in Germany, who are exploring a deal as well.”

Description

Steven Caulker has urged Tottenham to do everything to keep Argentine centre-back Cristian Romero at Hotspur Way this summer.

Every top side aims to keep hold of their best players while simultaneously strengthening the rest of their squad to build a well-rounded and balanced team that can compete on all fronts.

Tottenham, despite their dreadful campaign in the Premier League last season, still possesses a handful of top-class players, one of whom is Cristian Romero, a World Cup winner with Argentina.

The Argentine centre-back played a pivotal role in Tottenham’s Europa League success, producing a string of commanding performances that not only earned him the Europa League Player of the Tournament accolade but also saw him pick up the Man of the Match award in the final.

Steven Caulker urges Tottenham to keep Cristian Romero

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has openly declared Cristian Romero as the best defender in the world, stating that he is fascinated by Romero’s style of play and his character both on and off the pitch, adding that the Argentine makes everything look easy.

Romero, who currently has two years remaining on his existing contract at Tottenham, is now the subject of serious interest from Atletico Madrid, with the Spanish giants refusing to step away from their pursuit of the combative centre-back.

Former Tottenham defender Steven Caulker has now spoken on the significance of keeping Romero, making it clear that he believes the club simply cannot afford to lose such a key figure, particularly with the dawn of a new era under Thomas Frank.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to talkSport when asked whether Romero is expendable, Caulker replied: “No, he is a player that Spurs need absolutely.

“He is someone who is sort of the backbone of Spurs if you like. You know he is often given the armband. If you are talking about defining the season, I think keeping hold of the leaders within the team or the more experienced players is going to be vital, it is going to be really, really important.

“So the fact that they are playing Champions League football this season, I would like to see the bigger names stay. Cristian Romero is certainly one of them.”

Spurs offer Cristian Romero new contract amid Atletico Madrid interest

Tottenham are doing all they can to ensure Cristian Romero remains at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium beyond this summer.

The Argentine centre-back, who currently earns £165,000 per week, is now reportedly the subject of a new contract proposal from Daniel Levy, who is determined to make Romero the highest-paid player at the club.

However, even that may not be enough to guarantee his stay in north London, with new reports now claiming Tottenham are expected to accept an offer from Atletico Madrid for the Argentine international.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on the Turkish star, who first came on their radar two years ago, but the Lilywhites may have to overcome competition from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League and across Europe to land the player.

Over the past few weeks, Spurs Web has relayed several reports suggesting that Thomas Frank is prioritising reinforcing Tottenham’s midfield this summer.

That makes a lot of sense in light of claims that Spurs are now actively looking to sell Yves Bissouma for a cut-price fee.

It has now emerged that Tottenham Hotspur are turning their sights to the 24-year-old, who was first linked with a move to N17 two years ago.

In the summer of 2023, it was reported that Tottenham were exploring a move to sign Orkun Kokcu from Feyenoord. It was Benfica who won the race for the Turk that summer and his reputation has since blossomed in Liga Portugal over the last two seasons.

Tottenham battling elite clubs for Orkun Kokcu

It turns out that Spurs may have continued to track Kokcu’s progress as it has now been reported by CaughtOffside that the Lilywhites have expressed an interest in signing him this summer.

The versatile midfielder, who can operate as a number six, in a box-to-box role or as an attacking eight, is thought to be valued at €40m (£34.4m) by Benfica.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, Tottenham could face major competition for Kokcu, who is also wanted by Liverpool, Manchester United and Inter Milan.

Additionally, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas are also said to be monitoring the Turkey international, but a move back to his home country is not deemed realistic for the player this summer.

Orkun Kokcu has a clear transfer preference

CaughOffside say that Kokcu wants to ‘explore a move to the Premier League‘ this summer, which is good news for Spurs.

However, unfortunately for Thomas Frank’s men, the 24-year-old has a strong preference: Liverpool. The midfielder, who has worked under Arne Slot at Feyenoord, is keen on a reunion with the Dutch coach at Anfield.

Tottenham would thus have their work cut out to land Kokcu but perhaps their pitch to the player can be that he will get regular game time at N17, which may not be the case in Merseyside, given the midfield options Slot has at his disposal.

West Ham sources tell Harry Redknapp something worrying about Mohammed Kudus

West Ham sources tell Harry Redknapp something worrying about Mohammed Kudus - Spurs Web
Description

Harry Redknapp believes that Mohammed Kudus will be an exciting addition to the Tottenham squad, but he also reveals something concerning that he has heard about the winger from his contacts at West Ham United.

It is clear that Spurs are big admirers of the Hammers winger, with reports indicating that Fabio Paratici is convinced that Thomas Frank could turn Kudus into a ‘world star’.

Several sources have claimed that Kudus has already said yes to Tottenham, but the Lilywhites still have work to do to get a deal over the line.

West Ham are frustrated at the unrealistic add-ons Spurs have proposed for Kudus, with the two clubs still having some distance in their valuations of the Ghanaian.

Harry Redknapp reveals what he has heard about Mohammed Kudus amid Tottenham bids

Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has remarked that there is no doubt about the former Ajax man’s ability, admitting that he is a very exciting player in possession.

However, the 78-year-old revealed that some people at the East London club still have ‘question marks’ over the winger, although he did not clarify what he meant.

When asked about Tottenham’s pursuit of Mohammed Kudus, Redknapp told talkSPORT (08/07, 7:40 am): “Yeah, he’s not bad. There’s no doubting his ability. I know one or two people around the place at West Ham, I think there are question marks over him.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“I think his ability is not questionable but I don’t know. But he’s certainly got ability and he’s a player that when he gets on the ball, he can make things happen, he’ll be exciting. So yeah he’ll certainly bring something to Tottenham for sure.”

Tottenham need not worry about Kudus’ disciplinary record

Some Spurs fans might be concerned that Redknapp is alluding to potential disciplinary problems with the West Ham star, particularly after the way he lashed out in the London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season.

Kudus first left something on Micky van de Ven in the follow through, before shoving the Dutchman and Pape Sarr in the face, leaving VAR with no choice but to ask the referee to show him a red card.

However, despite that incident, Mohammed Kudus has a more than decent disciplinary record, with his last red card before the one against Tottenham coming way back in December of 2019.

Description

Tottenham and Burnley have reportedly reopened talks over a highly-rated centre-back, with those Cristian Romero exit rumours continuing to circulate amid interest from Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a fair few centre-backs this summer window as rumours continue to fly in over the future of Cristian Romero.

While there is a strong feeling that Romero could depart this summer, it is claimed that Spurs have not yet received any fresh offers for their vice-captain.

Regardless, over the past few weeks, Spurs have been linked with the likes of Giorgio Scalvini, while Luka Vuskovic has also been tipped to be a possible Romero replacement this summer.

Tottenham reopen talks with Burnley for Maxime Esteve

A fresh report from L’Equipe now claims that Spurs and Burnley have resumed negotiations over a deal for Maxime Esteve, a player the north London club previously attempted to sign earlier this year.

In the final hours of the January transfer window, it was reported that Tottenham had submitted a bid in the region of €24 million (£20.7m) for Esteve, who remains under contract until 2029.

Burnley were said to have rejected that offer, but five months on, Spurs are once again being linked with a move for the 23-year-old.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Tottenham hierarchy have allegedly re-established contact with the newly promoted club as they attempt to find a breakthrough in talks. Back in January, Burnley were holding out for a fee closer to €35 million (£30m), and it remains to be seen whether that valuation has shifted.

Esteve was named in the 2024/25 Championship Team of the Season, along with the likes of Jobe Bellingham and James Trafford.

Spurs interest in Esteve raises question about Cristian Romero

Of course, last winter, Tottenham found themselves in the middle of an injury crisis, as both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were sidelined for extended spells.

Spurs did not only express interest in Maxime Esteve during that window, as reports claimed that Tottenham also submitted a £70 million bid for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

That bid was ultimately rejected, and talk of a move for the England international has since cooled. With new reports emerging around Esteve, the question now is whether he is being eyed as a replacement for Romero or simply as an additional option to bolster the squad.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have successfully poached yet another member of staff from Brentford, which makes it a total of five people who have followed Thomas Frank from the West London club to Hotspur Way.

Initially, Spurs confirmed that Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam and Joe Newton had arrived alongside Frank from Brentford, and set-piece specialist Andreas Georgson had joined from Manchester United.

Subsequently, Tottenham Hotspur also poached Tom Perryman from the West London club, who will now serve as the Lilywhites’ strength and conditioning coach.

They have been joined by some familiar faces, with Spurs confirming that Cameron Campbell, Matt Wells, Stuart Lewis and Dean Brill have been added to Frank’s staff.

Tottenham will have a new head of medical department

The Athletic’s Jay Harris has now revealed that Nick Stubbings will also leave the Bees to join as the new head of the Tottenham medical department.

Stubbings joined as a Physiotherapist at Brentford in 2018 before being promoted to the role of Medical Director of Physiotherapy in 2022, a position which he has held for the last three years.

He now becomes the fifth member of staff to follow Frank to North London following Cochrane, Haslam, Newton and Perryman.

Why changes in the medical department at Tottenham were inevitable

It was well-publicised that Tottenham had multiple reviews of their medical department over the last two years, given the injury crises that Spurs were hit with.

There was also a big issue with players returning before they were fully fit and picking up recurring injuries, and infamously, Cristian Romero even credited the Argentina physios rather than Spurs medics for his rehabilitation.

A chance in the medical department thus seemed inevitable and Frank was always going to bring in the people he trusts.

Why Tottenham should not be concerned about that famous Mohammed Kudus red card - Spurs Web
Description

Mohammed Kudus completely lost his head during the London derby against Tottenham last season, but his suspension record suggests that his behaviour was out of character.

Tottenham are now pushing hard to land Kudus, who will become the first player in 14 years to make a move from West Ham to Spurs if a deal can be agreed between the two clubs.

According to various reports, Kudus has already given the green light to move to Spurs and is not speaking to any other club at the moment.

It thus appears that the Lilywhites are favourites to get a deal over the line, and we now take a look at whether his disciplinary record is something Thomas Frank’s men should be concerned about.

Mohammed Kudus has a decent disciplinary record

Tottenham fans will certainly remember what happened during the London derby between Spurs and West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last year.

The clash descended into chaos in the final minutes after Micky van de Ven went in for a challenge on Kudus and felt that the winger lashed out at him cynically.

In the moments that followed, the Hammers winger raised his hand and struck both the Dutch defender and Pape Matar Sarr in the face, resulting in VAR intervening and ordering a red card for Kudus.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs fans may be worried about the Ghanaian’s temper due to that incident but his disciplinary record suggests that he has no issues controlling himself.

That red card incident is the only one where Kudus has been suspended since arriving in the Premier League. The only time he has previously been sent off is back in the 2019-20 season.

What is the hold-up in Tottenham’s deal for Kudus?

According to reports, Tottenham have had three offers rejected by West Ham for Mohammed Kudus.

The latest offer was worth £50m plus £12.5m in add-ons, but these additional payments were deemed ‘barely attainable’ by West Ham as it included things like Spurs winning the Premier League and Champions League.

The Hammers are thus asking for more realistic bonus structures from the North London club to greenlight the winger’s move to N17.

Tottenham can now sign Dusan Vlahovic at a huge discount to support Dominic Solanke - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have been eyeing a move for an experienced Serie A centre-forward and they have just been informed that his asking price has now been halved.

With some sources continuing to indicate that Spurs are ready to cut their losses on Richarlison this summer, it comes as no surprise that various strikers continue to be linked with a move to N17.

It was claimed by GiveMeSport back in May that Tottenham are eyeing a move for Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic, who is surplus to requirements in Turin.

The outlet claimed that the Lilywhites were considering testing the waters with an offer for the Serbian, and Thomas Frank’s men have now received some great news about the 25-year-old.

Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic is now available for just £13m

A new report in TEAMtalk has now revealed that Juventus were initially asking the Serbian’s suitors to pay €30m (£26m) for his services – much lower than the £66.6m they paid for him in 2022.

However, Igor Tudor’s men are now ready to cash in on Vlahovic for just €15m (£13m), which is less than a quarter of the fee they paid to sign him back in 2022.

This is because the former Fiorentina man is now into the final year of his deal and Juve want to avoid the possibility of losing him on a free transfer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Additionally, the Serie A giants have to raise funds to push ahead with deals for their transfer targets and want to free up space in their wage bill.

Dusan Vlahovic’s transfer stance explained

TEAMtalk say that none of Vlahavoic’s Serie A suitors are ready to match his current salary, which is why the player is ‘waiting for a move to a top Premier League club’.

The report makes no mention of Tottenham Hotspur, instead naming Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa as the clubs who have shown an interest in the 25-year-old over recent weeks.

However, neither of those clubs have made significant progress following their initial contacts and Vlahovic plans to take his time before deciding his next destination even though the Bianconeri are looking for a quick resolution.

Tottenham in talks over new contract for 22-year-old amid heavy transfer interest - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are currently working to tie down a 22-year-old who is attracting plenty of loan and permanent transfer interest this summer.

While Spurs fans have been raving about the way Jamie Donley impressed at Leyton Orient last season, another Tottenham loanee was just as impressive for the O’s.

Goalkeeper Josh Keeley kept 16 clean sheets for the club in League One and was instrumental in taking them to the play-off final, where they lost 1-0 to Charlton Athletic.

The 22-year-old has since even been capped for the Republic of Ireland. It was reported last month that Keeley could be rewarded with a new contract at Tottenham, and that is now coming to fruition.

Tottenham trying to tie down Josh Keeley amidst heavy interest

Football.London are now reporting that Spurs have begun talks with extending Keeley’s current deal, which runs until 2027.

The Lilywhites are intent on getting the goalkeeper to commit to a new deal in North London before heading out on loan again for the upcoming season.

With Spurs having a strong trio of goalkeepers in Guglielmo Vicario, Antonin Kinsky and Brandon Austin, it is expected to be difficult for Keeley to break into the Tottenham first-team squad.

MORE SPURS STORIES

There is no shortage of interest in the Irishman, with a whole host of clubs across the Champions and League One expressing an interest in a loan deal as well as a permanent transfer.

One factor may prevent Keely from being part of Thomas Frank’s plans

The young shot-stopper may have hopes of catching the eye of Thomas Frank and his coaching staff during pre-season, but one factor may prevent him from being considered for the first-team even if he impresses.

Football.London point out that Keeley does not qualify as homegrown despite being at Spurs for three years as he spent his formative years at Irish side St Patrick’s Athletic.

Tottenham fans laud senior player for his dedication to pre-season after impressive reveal - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham fans have hailed the dedication of one senior player after what was a season full of injury and fatigue for most of his Spurs teammates last year.

Tottenham Hotspur endured a chaotic and injury-riddled campaign last season, with several key players spending extended spells on the sidelines.

At one stage, the club had more than ten first-team players out injured, which severely impacted their ability to compete domestically.

In fact, Spurs were ranked second in the 2024/25 Premier League injury table, having suffered more injuries than Arsenal and almost twice as many as Liverpool.

Key names such as Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Guglielmo Vicario were all sidelined at various points, and it was no surprise to see Tottenham finish as low as 17th, as the absence of these core players played a huge role in their sharp decline.

Pedro Porro praised by Tottenham fans for early return

While many of his teammates were in and out of the treatment room, Pedro Porro stood tall as an ever-present figure throughout the season.

The Spanish right-back remained injury-free and clocked a staggering 4,133 minutes across all competitions, more than any other Tottenham player.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Porro even featured in two matches for the Spanish national team following Tottenham’s Europa League triumph. Despite that heavy workload, Porro was one of the first senior players to return to Hotspur Way for pre-season training.

Spurs fans have showered the 25-year-old with praise for his resilience and commitment, with some describing him as a robot.

One fan wrote: “A great worker and fine example for the younger players.” Another said: “He is a robot honestly.” There was even an admission of affection despite his occasional loose passing: “Love that guy. His passing can be a bit erratic, but he gives 100.”

Others called him a “king among men.” “Top professional,” another supporter added. While one more chimed in with praise for the full-back: “one of the best value for money signings for Spurs that falls under the bracket of ‘expensive signings’. Rare profile with an X factor with Trent-like passing range/delivery. Blessed to have him.”

Pedro Porro’s stats show his value to Spurs

We rated Pedro Porro as one of Tottenham’s top performers in our end-of-season player ratings, handing him a well-deserved nine. He has firmly established himself as a key figure since arriving from Sporting CP.

Porro has now made 105 appearances for Tottenham, registering 11 goals and 20 assists – excellent returns for a full-back. His impact on both ends of the pitch cannot be overstated, particularly in a system that often left defenders exposed.
