Description

Tottenham Hotspur and RB Leipzig both want to do business again after their Xavi Simons deal, but for very different reasons.

Radu Dragusin is available for action after returning from an injury which sidelined him for almost a full year. However, the defender has only featured once for Tottenham Hotspur since his comeback.

This sparked rumours about Dragusin’s future, and it did not take long after this for Spurs to enter transfer talks with Roma to agree a deal.

Despite this, Spurs have rejected an offer from Roma to sign Dragusin, which means it remains uncertain whether he will leave North London in January.

RB Leipzig want to sign Radu Dragusin from Tottenham

Roma have not been the only club interested in Dragusin. In fact, the player himself rejected the chance to join Fiorentina due to their low position in Serie A.

According to Gianluigi Di Marzio, a third team has now come out of the woodworks in a bid to sign the Romanian, and Tottenham did business with them as recently as last summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

RB Leipzig are the side interested in Dragusin, and they are said to be making moves in order to complete a deal.

Spurs signed Xavi Simons from the Bundesliga outfit in August, so this could be their chance to return the favour.

Spurs want to do more business with RB Leipzig

Even if RB Leipzig had no interest in Dragusin, Tottenham were likely to enter negotiations with the club anyway due to their interest in Yan Diomande.

Unfortunately, Diomande favours a move to Liverpool over Tottenham. However, the chance to be reunited with Simons could be an incentive for the young forward to join Spurs, so they will not have given up hope yet.

Souza just gave up becoming an overnight millionaire to join Tottenham Hotspur - Spurs Web
Description

Souza has almost completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur, but this has not stopped the player from doing one last thing for his boyhood club.

Tottenham Hotspur are working behind the scenes in the transfer market, and last week the club made a £13m bid to sign Souza from Santos.

It was later reported that Spurs had agreed a deal to sign Souza, which would make him their first official signing of the January transfer window.

However, Tottenham are yet to confirm the arrival of the Brazilian left-back, who was scheduled to have his medical at Hotspur Way last Sunday.

Souza shows his appreciation for Santos

Although there has been no club announcement as of yet, Souza is going to become a Spurs player, but he still wants to ensure those at Santos understand what they mean to him.

Souza has done this by giving up the 25 per cent share of economic rights he owned (Diário do Peixe).

Souza and his family could have pocketed a quarter of his £13m transfer fee (£3.25m), but the player has instead decided to let Santos keep the total sum, instead of just 75 per cent of it.

MORE SPURS STORIES

This decision has been made by Souza as a token of his appreciation, rather than as an obligation. The club are responsible for his development, and it is his hope that they invest the additional income into their academy structure to help the players of tomorrow.

Some players see a move to the Premier League as an opportunity to load their bank account, but if all Souza cared about was money, then he would not have given Santos his 25 per cent.

This action says a lot about the 19-year-old, and it shows he is joining Spurs because he wants to develop and reach the highest level of the game.

Radu Dragusin’s agent drops interesting ‘conclusion’ statement on Tottenham future - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur could soon see clarity over the future of Radu Dragusin, with developments expected imminently as interest from Italy continues to gather pace.

Radu Dragusin only just made his return from an ACL injury at the tail end of last month and is already in the headlines, with interest in him remaining strong.

Fiorentina and AS Roma are the two sides keen on securing the services of Dragusin from Spurs during this winter window.

The Romanian international himself is understood to be keen on a move away from north London as he searches for more game time, having played only a few minutes since his return from his long-term injury.

Now Dragusin’s agent has given Tottenham a deadline to decide on his client’s future.

Radu Dragusin agent gives Tottenham deadline to make transfer decision

The player’s agent has been vocal in the latest transfer saga, even claiming that the Tottenham Hotspur defender prefers a move to AS Roma over Fiorentina.

Roma have put forward an initial loan with an option to buy Dragusin from Spurs, an offer that Tottenham have since rejected, according to recent reports.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, Dragusin’s agent has once again commented on his client’s future, opening up on when he expects this saga to be resolved.

Speaking to TeleRadioStereo, he said: “The decisive days will be between today and tomorrow. I would like to avoid talking, but we hope to reach a conclusion in the negotiations with Roma.”

Spurs hold the upper hand in Dragusin talks

Spurs are under no obligation to sell Dragusin this winter, with the player’s current contract set to expire in 2030.

As such, Tottenham are in full control and under no obligation to sell the Romanian if the deal and offer from Roma are not on their terms.

That may be where the difficulty lies, with Roma potentially making an offer well below Spurs’ demands, leading the Lilywhites to reject their approach.

Tottenham Hotspur make big decision on signing Rodrigo Bentancur replacement in January - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur recently suffered yet another injury setback, but the club have a plan to mitigate these unfortunate circumstances.

Life at Tottenham Hotspur has been pretty miserable in recent weeks. Thomas Frank’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat in their most recent Premier League outing and this was followed up with an FA Cup loss at the hands of Aston Villa.

The Bournemouth fixture was a particular blow for Spurs and this included reasons beyond the result. Both Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur left the pitch with injuries, adding even more strain to the already depleted Tottenham first-team squad.

It has since been revealed that Bentancur will remain out for at least three months, which raises questions over what Spurs will do to overcome their shortage of midfielders.

Tottenham will sign a midfielder in January

Journalist Matt Law has confirmed that reports revealing the length of Bentancur’s injury are indeed true, despite the club not yet releasing an official statement.

The Uruguayan international has been a constant presence in the Tottenham midfield this season, but he will require surgery before returning to action.

MORE SPURS STORIES

In order to cope with Bentancur’s absence, Spurs are likely to make efforts to sign a midfielder before the January transfer window slams shut.

Spurs have been linked with multiple midfielders already

It appeared Tottenham were interested in adding to their midfield, even before Bentancur received his recent bad news.

Adam Wharton is the latest player to be linked to Spurs and there have recently been rumours about Tottenham launching a bid for Lucas Paqueta.

The central midfield position certainly seems to be an area where Spurs want to add resources so there could be some interesting developments on that front in the coming days.

Tottenham’s ambitious transfer plans include ‘enquiries’ over £100m FA Cup winner - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham fans will be very excited with the latest name to be placed at the top of the club’s transfer wishlist, as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League has been targeted.

We’re yet to see Tottenham complete a deal in the January transfer window, and while we do hope and expect some business to be done, it could be that the Lilywhites are playing the long game.

It’s said Spurs are chasing central midfield targets at the moment, including Carlos Baleba and Conor Gallagher. But another Premier League star is also on the list.

The only problem is he will cost a pretty penny, and Tottenham are not the only club that would be eager to snap him up.

Spurs have Adam Wharton on their radar

According to a report from TEAMTalk, Spurs have outlined their most ambitious targets for a range of different positions, and Adam Wharton is at the top of the list when it comes to central midfielders.

It is said Tottenham want to make ‘statement signings’ to mark their ambitions of rubbing shoulders with Europe’s elite, and that ‘discreet enquiries’ have been made to sound out a move for the Crystal Palace star.

Apparently, Palace are worried that the good work they have done in the past couple of years is coming undone, and they are not particularly keen to discuss the idea of their best players leaving.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, Spurs believe Wharton will move on within the next year, on the condition that Palace find a suitable replacement. By the sounds of it, the Lilywhites want to be at the head of the queue when that happens.

This is not the first time Tottenham have been linked with the England international. At the start of the year, it was reported that Spurs would make a ‘significant’ offer for the £100m-rated Wharton.

The plan is to identify the most ambitious target first and work backwards from there if the approach is unsuccessful.

Wharton could transform Tottenham

Apparently, Spurs tried to sign Wharton in the summer but failed in a late attempt to lure him away from Palace. It’s easy to see why he’s at the top of their list, too.

Wharton has come on leaps and bounds since joining Crystal Palace in 2024 and is now considered one of the most talented English midfielders in the game. The scary thing is he is still only 21-years-old and has so much more room to develop into a truly elite player.

His awareness and vision, twinned with incredible composure and a brilliant range of passing makes Wharton the ultimate anchorman, and he would absolutely take the Spurs midfield to the next level.

Tottenham receive worrying news about Micky Van de Ven and Barcelona - Spurs Web
Description

Micky van de Ven’s future has been up in the air over recent months, and the defender has now decided how long he wishes to remain at Tottenham Hotspur.

No one could have foreseen just how good Micky van de Ven would turn out to be for Tottenham Hotspur when he made the move from Wolfsburg.

The Dutchman walked straight into the first team and has never once looked under threat, which is a result of his consistent displays.

However, Real Madrid have been scouting van de Ven and a bid for the centre-back next summer could be on the cards.

Micky van de Ven wants to leave Tottenham

According to Sport, Real Madrid’s fierce rivals are also interested in signing van de Ven. Barcelona have a list of potential defensive options, and van de Ven is described as a ‘dark horse’ on the list.

Alessandro Bastoni is the club’s top target, but he could be too expensive, making the 24-year-old an attractive alternative. His versatility and profile match what Barcelona are looking for in the transfer market.

The La Liga giants could be helped in their pursuit of Van de Ven by the fact that he is reportedly desperate to leave Spurs at the end of the season. This comes after the Tottenham star clashed with the fans after his team’s defeat to Bournemouth.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs want to keep Van de Ven at all costs

Spurs are ready to make van de Ven their highest-paid player in order to keep him in North London, but some things are more important than money.

There is clearly frustration in the Tottenham first-team squad at where they find themselves at this point in the season, and it seems van de Ven has had enough.

Should Spurs decide to sell the defender, they would prefer not to let him move to another Premier League team, handing Barcelona an advantage. However, he will still have three years remaining on his contract in the summer, so the ball is still in Tottenham’s court.

Tottenham could replace Vicario with keeper who has played 64 times for Real Madrid - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are considering signing a goalkeeper who has won the Champions League on two separate occasions.

Unrest is growing at Tottenham Hotspur, and based on Cristian Romero’s explosive Instagram rant, there is frustration among the players as well as the fans.

Despite injury problems obliterating the Tottenham first-squad, no new signings have been brought in up to this point.

However, Spurs are understood to be working behind the scenes to get deals agreed and they could make a push to sign someone who will compete with Guglielmo Vicario.

Tottenham have shown interest in Andriy Lunin

According to Team Talk, Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin is on the radar of Tottenham, with the 26-year-old struggling for minutes.

Tottenham are not the only club interested, with a number of sides across Europe keeping tabs on his situation, including Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest.

Lunin’s camp are currently working on options, and Spurs have been made aware that he is tempted by a possible move to the Premier League.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Lunin would be a good signing for Spurs

While Lunin has only made two appearances this season, he played 31 times during the 2023/24 campaign and therefore has experience at the top level.

Tottenham could use a player who knows how to handle the pressure of playing for a big club, and Lunin is one of their top candidates.

Interest also remains in Marc-Andre ter Stegen and James Trafford, so it seems Spurs are still undecided on whether to go for Lunin or not.

Tottenham Hotspur starlet just beat £100m Harry Kane to an impressive award - Spurs Web
Description

He’s not at Tottenham Hotspur right now, but Luka Vuskovic has just done the Lilywhites proud by beating Harry Kane to his latest achievement.

Ever since Tottenham put pen to paper to snap up Luka Vuskovic, there have been high hopes around the young Croatian defender.

He impressed on loan at Westerlo last season and was clearly ready for another step up. Off he went on loan to Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga, and he’s adjusted to that level like a duck to water.

Vuskovic has been incredibly solid at the back while also proving a goal threat at the other end with a couple of goals to his name. In fact, Vuskovic has even saved someone’s life, after stopping an opponent from swallowing his tongue on the pitch.

Luka Vuskovic is the Bundesliga player of the season (so far)

Indeed, Vuskovic is having quite the season with his temporary club. Amid all the praise and accolades coming Vuskovic’s way, he can now add another very special award to his collection.

The Bundesliga is on a break for winter, and the German league likes to open up a vote to decide the best player of the season at the halfway mark.

Vuskovic was part of the 16-man shortlist for the award, along with Tottenham legend and Bayern Munich star, Harry Kane.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Turns out, he’s pipped the England captain to the prize. Vuskovic took a 60% majority of the fan-led vote to be crowned the best player in the Bundesliga so far in 2025/26.

Spurs need to give Vuskovic first-team place next season

Everyone can see how much of a star Vuskovic is and just how good he is going to be in the future. German outlet BILD even suggested Vuskovic is an £88m star already, and it’s clear he is ready for the next step in his career.

That has to be with Tottenham, and it would be a massive surprise if he’s not part of the Spurs first-team squad for 2026/27.

There are already rumours suggesting the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona will try to sign him, but Vuskovic has rubbished that speculation.

Still, if Spurs don’t get him involved soon, he may well decide he can progress better and quicker elsewhere. It would be a travesty if Tottenham were to let this generational talent go.

Tottenham face transfer turmoil after significant development at North London club

Tottenham face transfer turmoil after significant development at North London club - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have experienced plenty of change within the upper echelons of the club in recent months, and another departure is set to happen.

There was surprise when Daniel Levy departed Tottenham from his role as chairman after nearly 25 years in charge in September.

Levy followed executive director Donna-Maria Cullen out of the door in N17 as part of wholesale changes made by the Lewis family.

Now, Fabio Paratici is set to depart from his role as co-sporting director in order to take up a role at Serie A side Fiorentina.

Paratici to leave Spurs after transfer window closes

Paratici was only officially appointed to the co-sporting director position at Tottenham in October, with his departure coming a little over two months from taking up the role.

The Italian has been working alongside Johan Lange in heading up the recruitment at the Europa League champions, and now, yet more change is on the way in North London.

Paratici was slapped with a two-and-a-half year global football ban by Fifa in January 2023 after being found guilty of orchestrating a transfer scam at Juventus.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The North Londoners are yet to sign a player in the January transfer window, despite the club’s poor fortunes on the pitch, which has seen them already eliminated from both domestic cups, along with their lowly Premier League position.

Ironically, Fiorentina signed Manor Solomon on loan from Tottenham on a short-term deal until the summer, which will make many Spurs fans sit up and ponder whether this was an early Paratici deal.

Paratici has shown little loyalty to Tottenham

Tottenham remained loyal to Paratici while he was experiencing his suspension issues and kept him involved in footballing matters as an official advisor, only for him now to turn his back on the club.

Paratici said he loved Tottenham when he was re-appointed in an official capacity this year, but will now jet back to his homeland barely after the ink had dried on his contract.

Tottenham fans must now be seriously concerned for the direction of the club in this window and future windows, with Lange’s track record having been far from impressive.

Tottenham receive surprising Mathys Tel transfer twist despite increased role under Thomas Frank - Spurs Web
Description

Mathys Tel has made a decision on his immediate Tottenham Hotspur future amidst the January transfer window.

Life at Tottenham Hotspur has not exactly been smooth sailing for Mathys Tel, who made his initial loan move permanent last summer.

The French U21 international has had game time hard to come by since his permanent move and was even left out of Spurs’ initial Champions League squad before being recalled in place of Dominic Solanke.

With gametime hard to come by in north London, Tel is now said to be considering his future at Spurs.

Tottenham forward Mathys Tel is open to winter offers

This report comes from Mercato, which states that Mathys Tel’s struggle for game time could lead him to consider a move elsewhere in the near future.

The 20-year-old has managed just five starts under Thomas Frank in the Premier League, and it is believed that he is not satisfied with the situation. However, with Brennan Johnson sold and Mohammed Kudus injured, Tel has started the past three fixtures against Sunderland, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa.

Not only that, but the French U21 starlet has performed well in all three, and his chances of consistent game time appear to be at an all-time high in N17.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Tel is said to have set himself a goal of featuring in the 2026 World Cup finals. However, with a lack of consistent game time, the forward is far from achieving this goal and is clearly open to a move this winter to secure more playing time, which is his priority.

The young forward is not short of suitors, with AS Roma showing keen interest in taking Mathys Tel out on loan this winter, while Galatasaray are willing to give the Spurs youngster some much-needed minutes.

Spurs stance on Tel amid injury concerns

The report does claim that Tottenham is not keen on the idea of a departure, even a temporary one, for the Frenchman.

Frank also opened up on the possibility of Tel being sent out on loan, stating that he would love for the young forward to make the left wing spot his own.

The 20-year-old has since seen an improvement in game time in recent weeks as he earned back-to-back starts in the Premier League with games against Sunderland and Bournemouth.

Tel showed his quality in the latter, with a strong display that saw him grab a goal, while his deliveries from set pieces were equally impressive.

Tottenham are currently navigating an injury crisis in the attacking areas, and that should allow Tel to receive more game time.
