Everton have seen plenty of managers come and go in recent years, but finally look to have the right man for the job.

David Moyes has transformed the fortunes on Merseyside after Saturday’s win has dragged the Toffees up to 13th spot in the table.

In three months back at the club, Moyes has only lost two games in the Premier League with Everton.

Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry praised Everton’s tactics after Moyes kept the Blues fighting for the win deep into stoppage time.

Although the likes of Sean Dyche are yet to do anything of note since leaving the club, there are some managers to have left Everton and gone on to succeed.

And there is one, in particular, who is being eyed by Tottenham Hotspur as their potential successor for the struggling Ange Postecoglou.

According to David Ornstein, Spurs are now eyeing the 47-year-old as their possible replacement for Postecoglou this summer.

The Australian’s future in north London appears to be reliant on Thursday’s Europa League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.

“If they are to make they alteration, names such as: Andoni Iraola who we’ve spoken about there. Marco Silva who we will see against him tonight [Monday]. Of Oliver Glasner who is impressive so much at Crystal Palace,” said Ornstein.

“There will be plenty more in the frame if there is to be a vacancy there because Tottenham is such an attractive club.”

Since leaving Merseyside, Silva has slammed Everton fans for their lack of belief during his time at the club.

To be fair to Silva, he has gone on to prove himself elsewhere following Farhad Moshiri’s decision to sack him.

Silva has been able to drag the Cottagers up into the top half in what has been a turbulent Premier League campaign on the whole.

Jamie Carragher has also hailed Silva as a top manager after what he has seen this season.

Everton fans will be delighted with the work Moyes has done since January, but there have been a great deal of issues in the dugout since they moved on from Silva.

Nidaye played from the start on the weekend against Arsenal, and speaking to the Everton YouTube channel, he admitted a number of Premier League clubs snubbed him when he was younger.

“I went to trial at Charlton, Southampton, Reading, Tottenham, Chelsea, Crystal Palace. People were telling my Dad to his face: ‘He’s never going to be a football player’,” said Ndiaye.

“I wasn’t bothered. In London, there’s a lot of football players who train with Southampton, if you’re good enough you’ll go to Southampton to do a trial [but it never worked out].”

After weeks out through injury, Ndiaye has returned to Everton’s side and he did not take long to get back up and running.

The goal scored from the penalty spot showed exactly what Everton have been missing in his absence, with the forward showing some real quality in attack.

Jamie Carragher has hailed Ndiaye for his performances on Merseyside this season in a struggling side under Dyche.

Despite spending some time on the sidelines through injury, Ndiaye leads the way in front of goal for the Toffees.

And the Senegal international is outperforming Tottenham Hotspur’s captain Heung-min Son who has established himself as a world-class forward.

Ndiaye even scored a stunning solo goal against the Lilywhites in what was Moyes’ first victory back on Merseyside.

Everton bought Ndiaye for £15m from Marseille, and he could have provided Spurs with a lot more attacking threat than what Son is offering them this season.

Brazilian teams are looking into his availability, but the priority for the striker is to stay in Europe.

His return to Brazil will prove very difficult, but it is not ruled out either, although it looks like a European club will be his destination.

It won’t happen overnight, but Moyes hopes to transform the Toffees into a team on the European stage once more.

With their current Premier League status, this now looks miles away, as the Everton boss just wants safety secured.

Once this job is done, though, Moyes can create an incredible feeling around the place, and the addition of Richarlison could make Everton look frightening.

An attack starring Illiman Ndiaye, Richarlison, and a possible new, vibrant winger can bring back a sense of progression, and with Richarlison pushing for a Tottenham exit, this can certainly happen.

This can open doors for Everton with this new-look attack, and Moyes could achieve Martin Keown’s claim that Everton get Champions League.

In the report, it claimed Spurs received an offer of around £16m in January from Brazilian side Flamengo.

But Tottenham are looking for £40m to sell Richarlison this summer.

And at the age of 27, it would certainly prove a controversial move for the forward to return to his homeland.

Richarlison would be keen on a Premier League move if he was to leave north London this summer and that could potentially be on the cards.

Spurs have not seen enough from their £60m investment in the Brazilian.
