Tottenham eyeing “some of the biggest signings in their history”, duo on their January wishlist - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Rodrygo Goes and Kenan Yildiz in the near future.

According to Dean Jones on TEAMtalk, they could look to make a move if either of the two players are made available in January. They are world-class talents, and they are highly rated across Europe. They have the potential to develop into top-class players, and Tottenham would certainly use more quality in the final third.

Both players are capable of operating on the flanks as well as centrally. They will add creativity and goals to the side. It is highly unlikely that they will be made available in the middle of the season.

Even though Rodrygo is not a key player for Real Madrid, he is an important first-team player for them. Yildiz is an indispensable asset for Juventus, and they will not want to lose him in the middle of the season. It remains to be seen of the situation develops.

Rodrygo and Yildiz on Spurs radar

“Before the January transfer window opens, I think we will get a better realisation of how high Tottenham are ready to set the bar when it comes to making new signings,” Jones stated.

“It is a difficult window to make a statement signing, but I would expect us to get a good idea soon of their intent in terms of where they are going to take the club in 2026 and beyond.

“I already reported about the wide attacking targets being an area of priority, and that absolutely is the case, and they have been drawing up names over the past two weeks. But even as part of that, they realise that some of the names are probably going to be off-limits in the next transfer window.

“I really think Spurs will seek to make some of the biggest signings in their history. They have to be careful as part of that because there will be a chance that with new investment comes a new premium that you are asked to pay for talent.

“But if the likes of Rodrygo at Real Madrid or Yildiz at Juve become a genuine possibility in January or in the summer, then I think Spurs will put themselves in the picture.”

Spurs eyeing statement signings

Tottenham have been quite ambitious in the market, and they are looking to sign some of the biggest talents around. It is clear that they are looking to build a formidable squad for the future.

It will be interesting to see if they can sign either of the two players in the near future. It would be a major coup for them. Both players have the potential to develop into world-class stars with the right guidance. The move to Tottenham could be exciting for them.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing the services of Takefusa Kubo during the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old Japanese International has done well for Real Sociedad, and he is highly rated across your. His international teammate and Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo has backed him to one day become a football superstar.

Takefusa Kubo is highly rated

Endo said via Squawka: “Kubo is very focused, very professional. That’s also down to his family, they’re very humble and hard-working. His talent is obvious, but the reason why he will one day be a football superstar is his head.

“He sees things that other people don’t see, the ability to see a pass and pick a long ball. His intelligence is outstanding. He is very skilled technically but also very brave, he’s not scared of the ball and of taking on responsibility.

“He’s a natural leader and he’s comfortable with the pressure. He has the ingredients to one day be a superstar.”

Spurs preparing January move for Kubo

Tottenham are planning to offer €60 million in order to get the deal done in January, as per Fichajes. They could use more technical capability in the final third, and the 24-year-old could be the ideal fit.

He has proven himself in Spain, and he would like to take on a new challenge in the Premier League now. He has the quality to succeed in the north London club, and he could be an asset for them. It will be interesting to see if he can adapt to English football quickly.

He has the quality to justify the investment in the long run. Regular football in the Premier League could help him improve further as well. Thomas Frank has previously done well to groom talented attackers at Brentford, and he could play a role in the development of the Japanese International as well.

£53 million is a lot of money for the player, and the Spanish outfit is likely to be tempted if the offer is presented. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Tottenham have been tracking Kubo for several months.

Fraud Job: £834,334.40 transferred out of Bissouma’s account to a man named Maurice Gomes - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Perhaps this is not the first time that the word fraud has been used in association with Yves Bossouma; however, this is a serious allegation, reported exclusively by The Sun, this morning.

Spurs midfielder Yves Bissouma has been the victim of an alleged fraud that saw over £800,000 siphoned from his VIP account at Coutts, the high-end private banking arm of NatWest.

A total of £834,334.40 was transferred without Bissouma’s knowledge or consent to a man named Maurice Gomes, 31, who allegedly did so “dishonestly” for personal gain. The exact link between Gomes and Bissouma (and how he accessed the account) remains unclear.

This once again questions the mental state of the Mali midfielder, who, it appears, has granted access to the account to this third party.

Bissouma reported the theft to the police more than a year ago. Gomes was arrested and charged in October 2025 with two counts of fraud by false representation (each carrying a maximum 10-year sentence). He’s due in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court soon, and Bissouma may need to testify if it proceeds to trial.

The Sun reports:

“The man’s link to Bissouma, said to be paid £50,000-a-week by the North London club, is not known and it is unclear how Gomes could have accessed Bissouma’s account.”|

Biss has been through the mill in recent times.

The 29-year-old Mali international has been sidelined from Tottenham’s squad since August 2025.

A source close to him told The Sun:

“This has been deeply hurtful for Yves. It’s been a tough year for him on and off the pitch, and this hanging over his head will have contributed to that.”

He also had a £255,000 watch stolen at gunpoint in Cannes back in June.

Yves Bissouma joined Tottenham Hotspur from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2022 for a reported £25 million, arriving as a highly rated defensive midfielder known for his ball-winning tenacity, progressive passing, and composure under pressure. Under Antonio Conte initially, Bissouma showed flashes of potential but struggled for consistent minutes.

Paratici plotting a ‘shrewd, low-risk £46M coup’ hopefully in the winter market - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham and Aston Villa are both in the mix for Kevin Schade, and while Brentford have shut the door for now, pressure could mount in January.

Spurs are said are ramping up their interest in Brentford winger Kevin Schade ahead of the January transfer window, according to The Boy Hotspur’s Substack. The 23-year-old German speedster, who can play on either flank or up top, has caught the eye with his blistering pace, direct dribbling, and pressing intensity—qualities that align perfectly with Thomas Frank’s high-energy system at Spurs.

Frank, who brought Schade to Brentford from Freiburg in 2023 and turned his loan into a permanent £25m deal, sees him as a key piece to add flair and unpredictability on the wings, especially after some recent creative struggles in Tottenham’s attack.

Tottenham are keen to add pace and depth to their attack, and Schade fits the profile. Inside the club, there’s talk that the manager knows the player well and understands how he’d slot into the system. Fabio Paratici is working behind the scenes to reunite Thomas Frank with the winger.

Aston Villa have also been tracking Schade for a while. Unai Emery is said to be looking for a wide player with speed and strong one-on-one ability, and Schade is high on his list. Villa are preparing a tempting offer to test Brentford’s resolve.

Brentford rate him at around €55m (£46m), though Transfermarkt lists him closer to £26m, so expect negotiations to land somewhere in the middle if the Bees soften their stance. Aston Villa is also circling, alongside European suitors such as Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig.

Just days ago (early November), the Bees insisted Schade was “not for sale” amid initial inquiries. However, they’ve cashed in on stars like Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo in recent windows, so a big offer could tempt them—especially with Schade’s strong start to the 2025/26 season (contributing to wins over Manchester United and Liverpool).

It’s still early days, and no bid has been tabled yet, but the momentum feels real. Schade himself is reportedly tempted by a step-up to a bigger club like Spurs, who lifted silverware in Europe last term. If Frank gets his man, it could be a shrewd, low-risk coup for Tottenham’s squad refresh.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Canadian international striker Jonathan David from Italian club Juventus.

The player has struggled for regular opportunities at the Italian club, and he could be on his way out.

Jonathan David needs a fresh start

According to a report from Gazzetta, the player is on the radar of Tottenham and Chelsea. It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him. He joined Juventus on a free transfer at the start of the season, but he has not been able to live up to the expectations.

A fresh start could be ideal for him. Tottenham and Chelsea will be able to provide him with more opportunities. The move to Tottenham in particular would be ideal for him. They need a reliable striker to compete with Dominic Solanke. The Canadian International could be an important player for them. At Chelsea, he would have to compete with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

He could be available for a reasonable amount of money. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs decide to make a move for him in January.

David has been described as a player who “has everything to become a star in world football”.

Spurs could use David

Tottenham to improve in the attack if they want to fight for major trophies. Signing a reliable striker could make a big difference for them in the final third. The Canadian International has previously shown his ability in France, and there is no doubt that he has the technical attributes to succeed in the Premier League as well. He is still very much at the peak of his career, and he will look to get back to his best. The move away from Italy would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done.

“Fabio Paratici is working behind the scenes” to sign player for Tottenham Thomas Frank knows - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Brentford attacker Kevin Schade has been linked with a move away from the club, and Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to secure his signature.

The 23-year-old has performed well in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a quality addition for the North London club.

According to CaughtOffside, Fabio Paratici is currently working behind the scenes to secure his services. Thomas Frank knows the player from his Brentford days, and he’s already planning on how to integrate Schade into his plans. It remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.

Tottenham eyeing Kevin Schade

Sources told CaughtOffside: “Schade is seen as the perfect profile for Spurs. Frank knows the player well and has already planned how he’d slot into the system. Fabio Paratici is working behind the scenes to reunite Thomas Frank with Schade.”

Brentford have sanctioned the departure of key players in the last few windows, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to sanction the departure of Schade now. The player is likely to be attracted to the idea of joining Tottenham. It would be a step up in his career, and he would get to test himself at the highest level. Tottenham managed to win a European trophy last season, and it will be an attractive destination for the player.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a fee.

Schade would be a useful addition

Spurs need more quality and cutting-edge in the final third. The 23-year-old will add pace, flair, and unpredictability. He is still relatively young, and he could improve with coaching and experience. Spurs could groom him into a quality player in future.

They need to keep improving the squad if they want to fight for trophies in the coming seasons, and the German would be an excellent tradition. He knows the league well, and he could make an instant impact.

He was instrumental in their UEFA Europa League win last season, and he will look to help them win another major trophy this season.

Meanwhile, the convincing defeat over Copenhagen will give Tottenham a huge confidence boost. They will look to put together a winning run now. After an impressive start to the Premier League campaign, they dropped quite a few points, and they will look to get back to their best once again.

Apart from Van de Ven, there were other impressive performers last night, including summer signing Xavi Simons, who has struggled since joining.

Report: Tottenham plan to raid Euro outfit again, this time for 21-year-old sensation - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign the Wolfsburg defender, Konstantinos Koulierakis.

The 21-year-old central defender has done quite well for the German club, and he has attracted the attention of top teams. Clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham have sent Scouts to watch him in action. According to TBR football, Tottenham are hoping to sign the player in January.

Tottenham plan Wolfsburg raid for Koulierakis

They have previously signed Micky van de Ven from the German club. The Netherlands International defender is currently one of the best players at the club, and they will hope that Koulierakis can follow in his footsteps.

The young defender is highly rated across Europe, and he has a bright future. Apart from his qualities defensively, he is quite effective going forward as well. He could develop into a complete player for Tottenham like Van de Ven.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs follow up on their interest with an official proposal. The report claims that they have made it a priority to sign a quality defender in January.

Premier League move could tempt Konstantinos Koulierakis

Koulierakis could be tempted to join the North London club in January. It will be an exciting opportunity for him, and he will look to prove his quality in England. However, the German outfit are currently sitting in the mid-table position and they will not want to lose one of their best young prospects. It could be a devastating blow for them, and it could derail their season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have looked vulnerable defensively at times, and they could use more quality in that area of the pitch. The 21-year-old would be a long-term acquisition for them. He has the potential to develop into a reliable Premier League defender.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

‘0/10’ for Spurs star whose greed last night left a sour taste in many mouths - The Boy Hotspur
Description

The Champions League is where players get truly found out. Micky van de Ven showed the world what a world-class footballer he is, and Richarlison dies another slow death. Here are our player ratings and some fan reaction!

Guglielmo Vicario 5 was largely untested; this was very much a one-sided affair

Pedro Porro 7 produced some good stuff, but I will keep warning you, this was not European royalty. See you at the Manchester United game!

Cristian Romero 7 set up Paulhina’s goal with one of his creative sparkaroonies.

Micky van de Ven 9 Scored a Puskás-contender solo goal; untroubled at the back.

Destiny Udogie 6 driving runs caused problems. Passing accuracy 82%.

Rodrigo Bentancur 7 instrumental in transitions, Micky’s goal being a fine example.

Pape Matar Sarr 7 Picked up after the red, driving passes and an 88% passing accuracy.

Xavi Simons 8 drew high praise from all around. Let’s see this in the Premier League.

Brennan Johnson 6, great to get a goal, but ineffective is an accurate appraisal.

Wilson Odobert 6 A growing threat. Let’s see this in the Premier League.

Randal Kolo Muani 6 is there a player in there, isn’t there?

Joao Palhinha 6 solid, and another great goal.

Richarlison 0 Please just go. Quite why he felt the need to take the penalty kick is anyone’s guess. Fan reaction to the utterly redundant Brazilian, who so many fans were wildly supportive of, despite his having never been a great striker for anyone, was predictably poor.

Impact of the foul on Copenhagen defender Marcos López

Thomas Frank’s 4 word response to Brennan Johnson’s red card - The Boy Hotspur
Description

The incident involved a high-studs challenge on Copenhagen defender Marcos López, catching him on the Achilles tendon away from the ball. Referee Erik Lambrechts initially issued a yellow card, but after a VAR review by Bram van Driessche, it was upgraded to a red for serious foul play. This made Johnson the first British player to both score and be sent off in a Champions League game, as he had opened the scoring earlier in the match.

As ever, measured stuff from our current Spurs coach, Thomas Frank, who has more on his plate than some might readily care to admit.

The problem with rules and technology in sport is always a case of interpretation. Frank was stoic in respect of attacker Brennan Johnson’s sending off.

“I think I understand”, said the Norwegian, faced with having to imagine how the officials saw the incident. Here’s the full quote for context.

“I think I understand why it can be given, but that still footage is where it looks bad. There was no recklessness in this tackle from Brennan… It was a little bit unfortunate and was harsh.”

At the time of the dismissal, Spurs were leading 2-0, with goals from Johnson and Wilson Odobert. Reduced to 10 men, we faced pressure but held firm, extending our lead to 4-0 with stunning solo strikes from Micky van de Ven and João Palhinha.

The win certainly provided a morale boost after a recent Premier League loss to Chelsea, leaving Tottenham with eight points from four Champions League group games.

Johnson will return for Eintracht Frankfurt on January 28, 2026. The suspension is confined to Champions League fixtures, and obviously, this won’t affect domestic games, such as the upcoming Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Appeals are possible but unlikely to succeed, as straight reds for serious foul play rarely get overturned without clear evidence of error.

For Tottenham, Johnson’s absence could strain their attacking depth in key fixtures, especially with his recent form (he’s the team’s top scorer this season).
