Archie Gray is already making a name for himself at his new club Tottenham with impressive performances in training

Gray had an exceptional debut season with the Leeds United first team last season. The teenager’s consistent performances and his versatility resulted in a significant amount of interest from across Europe but Tottenham managed to beat the competition to sign the English youth international. They forked out a massive £40 million to bring him to the club.

Spurs rate the youngster quite highly and people at the club believe he could end up playing an important role in the team under Ange Postecoglou. Having seen him do well for Leeds in the Championship as a full-back and in his preferred role in the centre of the park, there are a lot of expectations from the English sensation.

According to a report from Football London, Gray seems to living up to those expectations as he has managed to impress the club staff in the first week of their pre-season. The midfielder has been putting in some great work in training and he seems to have adapted well to life in North London.

Gray has already had his first minutes in the Tottenham shirt. Postecoglou’s men were involved in a behind-closed-doors friendly at their training ground against Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon. The manager gave every available member of his squad a run and Gray is believed to have played as a right-back in the second half in a game they won 7-2.

Tottenham are interested in signing Brest full-back Bradley Locko this summer.

Spurs have been quite active in the ongoing transfer window as they look to provide Ange Postecoglou with enough resources to ensure they finish inside the top four in the 2024/25 campaign.

They have already added Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall to the squad and according to Paul O Keefe, Tottenham are now considering making a move for Bradley Locko as they look to reinforce their defence.

Locko joined Brest on a short loan during the winter of 2023 before the move became permanent the following summer. He has gone from strength to strength while playing for their first team and his displays have attracted a significant amount of interest. The left-sided full-back was involved in 35 matches last season and even contributed towards three goals.

Multiple top clubs want to sign the 22-year-old and Tottenham are one of them. The North London club want to add more quality to the left side of their defence with Ben Davies already 31 and Sergio Reguilon’s place in their first-team uncertain after having spent the 2023/24 season out on loan.

While Destiny Udogie is the preferred choice at left-back, he has had his struggles with injury and they want a quality option to support him.

Locko could be an exceptional signing for the short as well as the long term. While they are considering making a move, there is nothing advanced at this stage. Given the amount of interest in him from across Europe and with three years still left on his deal, the French club could demand a premium.

Tottenham Hotspur will have to fork out £25 million to acquire the services of LOSC Lille star Jonathan David.

Ange Postecoglou is keen on reinforcing his squad this summer after an impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur. While he is looking to add more quality in multiple areas of the pitch, the priority is to bring in a world-class striker to lead the line.

According to a report from Football Insider, the North London club have entered the race for the services of LOSC Lille star Jonathan David and they could acquire his services for a bargain fee of £25 million.

David has been in sensational form over the last two seasons. Last season, he was involved in 47 matches and contributed towards 35 goals. Finding the back of the net is not a problem for the 24-year-old striker who has scored 52 goals in the last two campaigns. He even had an impressive Copa America campaign with Canada as they reached the semi-finals.

With just 12 months left on his deal with Lille, there is no shortage of interest in his services. Chelsea and Manchester United are two Premier League outfits who have been linked with David and Spurs are all set to challenge their rivals for his signature.

The French club are resigned to the fact that they will most likely lose him this summer and they do not intend on standing in his way if they get a decent offer for him. The report suggests that Lille are willing to sanction his departure for £25 million. With the 24-year-old available for a cut-price fee, Spurs have a great opportunity to sign a top-level striker for the long term.

Troy Parrott has officially signed with Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar from Tottenham Hotspur.

The move was finalised on Saturday for a fee of £6.7 million after the Irish international completed his medical on Friday.

Parrott has expressed his excitement about joining AZ Alkmaar, describing it as the “perfect club” for his career development after he departed from Tottenham.

In an interview with Voetbal International, Parrott shared his positive perspective on the move.

Reflecting on his decision, Parrott mentioned that he had heard many good things about AZ and had consulted with friends, including former Excelsior player Kenzo Goudmijn, whose insights helped influence his choice.

He emphasised that AZ Alkmaar is an ideal club for his growth, especially given his familiarity with Dutch football and life in the Netherlands from his previous loan spell.

Parrott believes that his experience last year will be advantageous as he integrates into his new team and continues to develop his skills.

He said:

“Before I signed here, I heard a lot of good stories about AZ and I spoke to Kenzo Goudmijn, among others, with whom I became friends when I played with him.

“I think AZ is the perfect club for me to take the next steps in my development.

“I will take with me the useful experience of last year. It helps me that I already played in the Netherlands last season and am therefore used to the competition and life here.”

Parrott joined Tottenham in 2019, signing his first professional contract and making his senior debut later that year. Despite his potential, limited first-team opportunities at Spurs led to multiple loan spells, where he demonstrated his talent and gained valuable experience.

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Rennes winger Desire Doue this summer.

The Ligue 1 winger has attracted the attention of several clubs with his performances this past season and he managed to score four goals and pick up six assists in all competitions.

Bayern Munich have already failed with an offer to sign the French winger and they will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The report from L’Equipe claims that Tottenham are among the clubs who are ‘most advanced’ in the race to sign the 19-year-old.

He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the North London club, and he will add more cutting-edge and quality in the final third. Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done and it will be interesting to see if they submit an official proposal for the player.

Doue will be tempted to compete in the Premier League and the opportunity to join a big club like Tottenham will be quite attractive for him. They could provide him with the platform to showcase qualities in the Premier league as well in the European competitions.

Tottenham need to improve their squad this summer if they are serious about challenging for trophies next season. The 19-year-old would be a long-term investment for them and he could develop into a key player for the club with the right guidance.

Signing a quality winger should be one of their priorities this summer. They need someone who can add goals and creativity from the flanks. The 19-year-old is a prodigious talent for the bright future and he could easily justify the investment in the coming months.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 25-year-old Brazilian fullback has fallen down the pecking order at the North London club and he needs to leave in order to play regularly. Italian outfit AC Milan prepared to provide him with an exit route but they have had two offers rejected for the player.

It seems that Borussia Dortmund have now entered the race to sign the Brazilian defender, and they have submitted an offer close to the asking price as per Premier League Brasil. It will be interesting to see if the defender is willing to join the German club this summer.

Dortmund made it to the final of the UEFA Champions League last season and they have a talented squad at their disposal. They are expected to compete for major trophies in the upcoming season and Emerson Royal could prove to be a quality acquisition. The Brazilian is versatile enough to operate as the right back as well as the left back. He could be an asset for the Bundesliga outfit.

Signing a player of his quality and experience for €20 million could prove to be a bargain in the long term. The Brazilian will be hoping to play more often at this stage of his career, and the Bundesliga outfit might be able to provide him with that opportunity. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Tottenham will be hoping to sell the player to the highest bidder so that they can recoup a significant amount of money for him. Both AC Milan and Dortmund will be exciting destinations for the defender this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced that young striker Will Lankshear has agreed a new deal with the club, extending his contract until 2029.

This five-year contract extension demonstrates Spurs’ confidence in the centre-forward, rewarding him for his impressive performances last season.

Lankshear, who is praised as an excellent poacher, began his career at the Arsenal Academy before moving to Sheffield United.

In February 2021, he signed a scholarship contract with Sheffield United, where he quickly made a name for himself.

His exceptional goal-scoring ability caught Tottenham’s eye, leading to his signing in the summer of 2022 for a fee that could rise to £2.5 million.

Since joining Spurs, Lankshear has continued to excel. The 19-year-old had a prolific last season with the club’s Under-21s, finishing as the Premier League 2 top scorer with 23 goals.

His performance in the play-off final, where he scored twice against Sunderland, helped secure the league title for the Lilywhites earlier in May.

Lankshear has been training with the first team this week and is expected to go on loan this season to gain regular senior minutes.

There is significant interest in him from clubs in the Championship and League One, as reported by Alasdair Gold.

Tottenham new arrival opens up on ‘totally different’ training approach under Postecoglou

Lucas Bergvall has opened up about the difference in the training approach under Ange Postecoglou at his new club Tottenham.

The North London club managed to beat the competition for the signature of Lucas Bergvall back in February as they struck a deal worth £8.5 million with Swedish club Djurgården. The teenager arrived at the club on Saturday and is nearing the end of his first week of training sessions at the Hotspur Way training complex.

While it has been difficult for the young midfield sensation to adjust to life in North London, he seems to be enjoying the added intensity, speed and power of the training sessions under his new manager Ange Postecoglou. During his interview with the club, Bergvall talked about how different the sessions have been at Spurs.

He said via Football London: “It’s going really well, this is a fantastic club with amazing players and amazing staff, so I’m really happy to be here and start pre-season,” Bergvall said in a club interview.

“Training has been really good, tough as well, so much speed and power. So, yes, it’s been tough, totally different from Sweden, but it’s fun as well. It’s a really important time for me, important to get to know everyone before the season starts so we can form that good connection.”

The 18-year-old midfielder has admitted that the approach in training at Tottenham is a lot different to the one he is used to having come up the ranks at Swedish clubs. The training sessions at the Premier League club are much more intense, similar to the intensity of the matches.

He might not be used to it but he has the quality to adapt. The teenager will be hoping to establish himself as an important player for his new club. Bergvall is all set to get his first minutes in a Tottenham shirt with the club set to play a behind-closed-doors friendly with League One side Cambridge United on Saturday.
