Tottenham are facing a significant decision regarding the future of winger Dejan Kulusevski, who has recently attracted interest from Aston Villa.

Villa’s pursuit of Kulusevski comes in response to the imminent departure of their right-winger, Moussa Diaby, to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

As a result, the Villans have identified Kulusevski as a potential replacement.

Former Spurs scout Bryan King has provided insights into the ongoing transfer rumours surrounding the talented Swedish international.

Despite the speculation, King finds it difficult to see this transfer happening, given Kulusevski’s essential role at Tottenham.

He noted that the Lilywhites would demand at least £40 million to entertain a bid from Aston Villa.

King emphasised that Spurs’ manager Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to let Kulusevski leave North London.

Since Postecoglou’s arrival, the wide forward has become a regular feature in the team, showcasing his versatility by playing in multiple positions. King suggests that the winger’s departure is improbable, specially with Tottenham’s participation in the Europa League in the upcoming campaign, which will require key players like him.

Speaking to Tottenham News, King said:

“I think Tottenham would want around £40 million to let Kulusevski go. I’m probably being a bit conservative considering the prices being brandished about.

However, why would Tottenham sell him? Since Postecoglou has been there, he has played in most games and in several positions.

Spurs will be playing in Europe next year and they will need key players like Kulusevski within the squad.”

Last season, Kulusevski’s contributions were significant, with eight goals and three assists in 36 Premier League matches.

His impact in the final third extends beyond direct goal contributions; his constant efforts to create opportunitiesf or teammates make him invaluable.

As the transfer window progresses, Tottenham are expected to stand firm, recognising Kulusevski’s vital role in their ambitions for the upcoming season.

Tottenham appear to be at the forefront in the race to sign Crystal Palace’s talented midfielder, Eberechi Eze.

According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Spurs have made significant progress in their pursuit of the England international, outpacing interest from Manchester City.

Tottenham’s interest in Eze has been persistent and genuine.

The club has already taken notable steps, including inviting Eze’s representatives to Premier League games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium several times last season.

Eze, valued at £60 million, is seen as a key target for Spurs to bolster their attacking options.

Despite having three years left on his contract with Crystal Palace, which runs until June 2027, Tottenham are reportedly prepared to meet his release clause. Additional add-ons could push the deal up by another £8 million.

Eze’s performance last season was impressive, particularly considering he recovered from a month-long muscle injury.

He scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 27 Premier League appearances, showcasing his potential impact on the Tottenham squad.

While Manchester City have also shown interest in Eze, their pursuit is less immediate.

City’s potential move hinges on the future of Kevin De Bruyne, giving Spurs a clearer opportunity to secure Eze’s services.

Crook said:

“They’re keen on Eze as well. I reported that on the transfer notebook a few weeks ago. Tottenham’s interest is genuine, but they need to shift players on.

I would say that Tottenham’s interest is more advanced (than City’s) in terms of this summer. With City, it would depend on De Bruyne leaving and we don’t think that will happen this summer, probably more likely next.”

As the Lilywhites finalise their squad for the upcoming season, Eze’s addition would inject creativity and flair into their attacking lineup.

Tottenham fans remain hopeful that the club can secure this promising signing, further strengthening their team for the season ahead.

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-Min has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 32-year-old South Korean international is one of the best attackers in the Premier League and his performances have caught the attention of the Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli. They are set to part ways with Allan Saint-Maximin and they have identified the South Korean as his replacement, as per Rudy Galetti.

🚨👀 Following the departure of #SaintMaximin, #AlAhli are looking for an offensive player to replace him. 🟢

📃 In addition to Ademola #Lookman, as revealed yesterday, the 🇸🇦 club also considers #Son Heung-min – on the PIF’s list for months now – among the main targets. 🐓⚽ https://t.co/rdWy24U7kj pic.twitter.com/i3qmJbxTd0

— Rudy Galetti (@RudyGaletti) July 23, 2024

The former Newcastle man will need to be replaced adequately and Al Ahli will need a quality player. Son is a proven performer for club and country and he could transform them in the attack.

The Spurs attacker scored 17 goals and picked up 10 assists in all competitions last season. He will add some much-needed goals and creativity in the final third. He is also versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three.

However, it seems unlikely that Spurs will let him leave. They are yet to replace Harry Kane, who left in the summer of 2023. Selling Son could prove to be a mistake.

The South Korean has been Tottenham’s best player over the past year. It remains to be seen whether he is keen on an exit.

The 32-year-old has proven himself in English football and he might feel that a move to Saudi Arabia would allow him to pocked lucrative wages. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few days.

Tottenham are prioritising the signing of Brentford’s star striker Ivan Toney this summer.

According to GiveMeSport, Spurs and West Ham United are leading the race to sign the England international.

The Lilywhites currently have the upper hand in this pursuit, although West Ham remains a strong competitor.

Brentford has lowered Toney’s price tag to less than £50 million due to concerns about the striker potentially leaving for free when his contract expires next summer.

The report suggest that Toney is more likely to join Tottenham, positioning them as the frontrunners in this transfer saga.

The report also states the Spurs will be making a lowball offer for the striker soon.

Since joining Brentford in 2020, Toney has had a remarkable career. He set a Championship record by scoring 31 league goals in the 2020-21 season, playing a crucial role in the Bees’ promotion to the Premier League.

The 28-year-old striker continues to showcase his quality in the top flight, scoring 20 goals in 33 appearances in the 2022-23 Premier League campaign, making him the third-highest scorer in the division.

Despite facing an eight-month ban for breaches of betting rules last year, Toney has demonstrated resilience. His return to action in January saw him score four goals and provide two assists last season. (Transfermarkt)

As Tottenham continues its pursuit of Ivan Toney, the potential signing could significantly strengthen their attacking lineup.

Tottenham have set a high asking price of €45 million for their Swedish star Dejan Kulusevski.

Kulusevski’s future at Tottenham has become the talk of the town in recent days. While the Swedish international has been a consistent performer for the North London club since joining them from Juventus, they still seem willing to sanction his departure ahead of next season.

Valter De Maggio has talked about Napoli being one of the clubs who are interested in signing the 24-year-old winger who is valued at €45 million.

While talking about Kulusevski’s future on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, journalist De Maggio said: “Napoli survey for Swedish striker Dejan Kulusevski, Tottenham’s request is 45 million euros. To be seen if the requests will decrease in the coming weeks”

Kulusevski joined Spurs in the winter of 2022 on an initial 18-month-long loan deal which became permanent last summer. He has featured in 96 matches for them and has contributed towards 34 goals (15 goals, 19 assists). Last season, he was involved in 36 out of their 38 league games and even contributed towards 11 goals (8 goals, 3 assists).

While he is quite an important part of Postecoglou’s first team and still has four years left on his deal, Tottenham seem interested in cashing in on the technically gifted winger. The North London club are looking to offload a few of their wide players as they look to bring in players who can help them take the next step.

With the ball on his feet, Kulusevski is quite a dangerous winger to deal with but he doesn’t have the pace to take on defenders which might be one of the reasons why they are willing to part ways with him. They could look to bring in a replacement who has the added pace and can be a better fit in Postecoglou’s style of play.

While Napoli are keen on signing the 24-year-old and have enquired about his availability as they look to reinforce their attack, the asking price of €45 million does seem to be too high for them. As a result, they will most likely look to play the waiting game to see if Spurs lower their demands.

Tottenham and rivals Chelsea are eyeing a Bosman move for former Atletico Madrid star Mario Hermoso.

Since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou at the club, Tottenham have undergone quite a few changes at the back. They have added Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin to their squad over the last two windows. While their arrival has bolstered their backline significantly, Spurs remain interested in signing another centre-back to ensure they have enough depth at the back.

According to a report from AreaNapoli, Tottenham are interested in signing free agent Mario Hermoso ahead of next season. The Spanish international could add a lot of experience to their squad and his arrival will ensure Postecoglou has enough competition for places and options to choose from.

The former Real Madrid youth player was an integral part of Atletico Madrid’s first team over the years. He featured in over 170 matches for them and did play an important part in their La Liga win back in the day. Despite being a key player under Diego Simeone, Hermoso left the club as a free agent upon the expiry of his contract last month.

With the 29-year-old available for free, multiple top clubs across Europe are after his signature. Chelsea are one of the clubs who are interested in the Spanish defender. While they do have a lot of quality options at the back, they lack experience and Hermoso could be a great fit for them.

But, the former Atletico star has his heart set on a move to Napoli. He is willing to wait for Antonio Conte’s team. However, the wait cannot go on forever with Spurs and Chelsea waiting in the wings.

Tottenham are renowned for their knack for securing bargain deals, and with Mario Hermoso available for free, they have a golden opportunity to sign a world-class player at no cost.

Tottenham Hotspur have no intentions of parting ways with their midfield star Yves Bissouma.

The North London club are expected to make quite a few changes to their midfield before the start of the 2024/25 season. While they have already added Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall to their squad, there is still a lot of work to be done.

Yves Bissouma is one of the names who has been linked with a move away from the club but according to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham have no plans to offload the 27-year-old who has been an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

He was the go-to man for the Australian manager in the centre of the park last season and he wants him around at all costs. Bissouma who joined Spurs in the summer of 2022 featured in 28 Premier League games last season. He was a constant feature in their starting XI and only missed games because of injury, suspension, or international duty.

The former Celtic boss considers him to be an integral part of their plans for the upcoming season and the former Brighton midfielder has been hugely impressive during the initial weeks of the pre-season. With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg likely to be sold and Oliver Skipp’s future uncertain, Spurs intend on keeping hold of Bissouma who still has two years left on his contract.

The Mali international is expected to play a crucial role in their first team under Postecoglou and with two of their defensive midfield options expected to be on the move, they could look to sign a top-quality holding midfielder to support Bissouma.

Barnsley have agreed a deal with Tottenham to sign Matthew Craig on a season-long loan.

On the back of an impressive loan spell at Doncaster Rovers in the second half of last season, multiple top clubs were after the services of Matthew Craig. There was a significant amount of competition for the Tottenham defensive midfielder’s signature but according to a report from Football Insider, League One outfit Barnsley have agreed on a deal with the North London club to sign Craig on loan ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Scottish midfield sensation joined Spurs’ youth academy at the age of 12 from Watford. While he hasn’t been promoted to their first team yet, Craig did make his professional debut for them on the final day of the 2022/23 season. He was the skipper of their Under-21 team last season before being loaned out to Doncaster in the winter. During his time at the club, he was involved in a total of 20 matches and even contributed towards three goals.

He was a rock in front of the backline. While he couldn’t help them secure promotion to the Championship, his performances did put him on the wishlist of multiple English clubs. Since Craig is not yet ready to be a part of Tottenham’s first team, they decided to send him out on yet another loan.

Barnsley were keen on reinforcing their midfield as they look to fight for promotion this time around. They had their eyes on Craig and have managed to strike a deal with Tottenham to sign him on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder has agreed to a move and has undergone his medical in South Yorkshire. Spurs have already confirmed his move to Barnsley for the 2024/25 campaign.

Tottenham have announced their squad for the pre-season tour of Japan and Korea, with notable absentees Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon.

Both players were allowed to stay behind to explore potential transfer opportunities away from Spurs.

Sergio Reguilon has struggled to find a potential suitor for himself this summer with the only links coming from Manchester United, who are said to considering re-signing the Spanish defender.

Reguilon spent the first half of the season at Old Trafford as backup for the injured Luke Shaw, but upon his return from injury, his loan spell was cut short by the Red Devils. He then spent the second half of the season on loan at Brentford, where he impressed with four assists in 16 appearances.

With his contract set to expire next June, Spurs are eager to finalise a permanent transfer this summer to avoid losing the left-back for free next year.

Similarly, Bryan Gil is also looking for a move away from North London. The young winger made only 11 Premier League appearances last season, amassing just 201 minutes on the pitch.

Despite having two years remaining on his contract, Tottenham are open to parting ways with Gil as he is not a key part of manager Ange Postecoglou’s plans, who has several quality options to deploy on the wings.

Besides Gil and Reguilon, Fraser Forster also remains at Hotspur Way to continue his rehabilitation from a fractured foot.

Meanwhile the players who participated in the Euros and Copa America are on a break and will join the rest of the squad closer to the end of the pre-season.
