Tottenham Hotspur plan to sell players who do not feature in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming season, and one such player is defender Sergio Reguilon.

According to the Spanish outlet Diario AS, Manchester United are showing interest in securing the services of the Tottenham left-back.

Reguilon, now in the final year of his contract with Spurs, is expected to move on from Tottenham this summer.

Despite joining Tottenham in 2020 on a five-year deal that included a reported £27.5 million buy-back clause, his tenure has been marked by injuries and multiple loan spells, limiting his impact.

Over his time with Spurs, Reguilon made a total of 67 appearances, scoring two goals and providing eight assists.

However, Reguilon’s Tottenham career has seen him spend time on loan at various clubs. He spent the 2022-23 season with Atletico Madrid and joined Manchester United on a six-month loan in September last year. Most recently, he was loaned to Brentford in January, where he provided four assists in 16 appearances, showcasing promising form.

Tottenham are looking to offload Reguilon permanently as he does not feature in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the upcoming season.

This decision follows an impressive campaign by Destiny Udogie, who has established himself as Tottenham’s first choice left-back. Offloading Reguilon would help Spurs secure funds and help them boster their squad ahead of the new season.

Tottenham are ready to negotiate Reguilon’s transfer, with Manchester United being a potential destination.

As the transfer window progresses, fans will be keen to see how the situation unfolds and whether Reguilon will make a permanent move to Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on an exciting young talent this summer, with the latest name linked to the club being Rennes’ attacking midfielder, Desire Doue.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that Doue is a significant target for Tottenham, underscoring the club’s genuine interest.

Romano highlighted that the North London club’s board is particularly keen on Doue, seeing him as a valuable addition to their squad.

Doue, a highly regarded talent, has caught the attention of numerous top clubs across Europe. The Lilywhites view him as a valuable addition to their squad, fitting well with their strategy to introduce a young talent.

Romano highlighted that Spurs have already conveyed their interest to Doue’s representatives, making it clear that he is a priority for the North London club.

Speaking on Playback TV, Romano stated:

“Tottenham have a genuine interest in Desire Doue. He’s one of the players appreciated by Tottenham board.

“Desire Doue is one of the best talents in his position. He’s on the list of several clubs, also in the list of Tottenham.

“It’s true that Desire Doue is another player they are considering internally. They have already expressed their interest to the agents of the player. So Desire Doue is one to watch for Tottenham.”

Doue, 19, has been making significant strides at Rennes since joining their youth academy at the age of five. He signed his first professional contract with the club in April 2022 and debuted in Ligue 1 in August of the same year.

Primarily an attacking midfielder, Doue’s versatility allows him to play on either wing or as a forward. His acceleration, pace, and excellent dribbling skills make him a formidable offensive threat.

Last season, Doue made 31 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring four goals and providing five assists in his 17 starts. His performances have drawn comparisons to Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, another standout from Rennes’s youth system.

Tottenham’s interest in Doue aligns with their recent strategy to introduce young, versatile talent into their squad. The club has already conveyed their interest to Doue’s representatives, making it clear that he is a priority for the team.

Tottenham recently bid farewell to Willhoft-King, who chose to explore new opportunities following the expiration of his contract with the club.

This decision followed the Spurs’ release of several players whose contracts had concluded.

Having joined Tottenham at the age of six, Willhoft-King progressed through the ranks, notably excelling in the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup last season.

He made a significant impact with 16 appearances and two goals, earning recognition as a standout talent among his peers. (Transfermarkt)

John Wenham, a reputable club insider, had disclosed that despite Spurs’ efforts to retain Willhoft-King by offering him a new contract, the midfielder opted to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Wenham emphasised the club’s admiration for Willhoft-King’s abilities, while respecting his decision to seek a new path.

While Willhoft-King’s departure represents a loss for the Lilywhites, it underscores the club’s dedication to nurturing young talent and supporting their growth.

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on their former player Kyle Walker-Peters as they look to strengthen their defence this summer.

Brighton and West Ham have expressed interest in the Southampton defender. West Ham are even considering a swap deal involving Flynn Downes, though the negotiations are proving to be complex.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have been monitoring their former player, who left the club for Southampton in 2020.

He shared the update on X:

🚨 Brighton have inquired about Kyle Walker-Peters, on the radar for some months.

West Ham are still pushing for KWP and Flynn Downes may be part of the swap deal but deal not straight forward.

Tottenham have been monitoring him as he’d tick several boxes, no bid/talks so far. pic.twitter.com/GcyuuRlds2

— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 3, 2024

The North London side sees him as a perfect fit to bolster their defence, especially at right-back, a position that needs reinforcement following the expected departure of Emerson Royal.

The 27-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Southampton, set to expire in June next year. With no extension on the horizon, his exit from the club seems imminent.

Walker-Peters had a standout campaign last season, contributing immensely as Southampton earned the promotion to the Premier League following their win against Leeds in the play-offs final.

He started 46 games in the Championship throughout the campaign and recorded 3 goals and 3 assists.

A significant advantage of Walker-Peters is his versatility. Primarily a right-back, he has also performed well as a left-back, potentially offering flexibility for Ange Postecoglou. This adaptability makes him an excellent backup option for both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.

Tottenham’s interest in Walker-Peters fits their strategy of enhancing their squad with versatile and experienced players.

As the transfer window continues, the Englishman’s potential return to North London would not only deepen the squad but also reintroduce a familiar and reliable player to the team.

Albert Gudmundsson has been linked with a move away from Genoa this summer.

The Icelandic attacker has had an impressive season with the Serie A outfit and his performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League clubs.

According to a report via Planeta Genoa 1893, the player is ‘in the sights’ of Tottenham and West Ham. It will be interesting to see if the London club decide to make a move for him in the coming weeks.

The Icelandic international is a player in demand this summer and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Tottenham need a quality striker who can lead the line for them, and the Genoa attacker would be the ideal acquisition. He scored 16 goals in all competitions last season and picked up five assists along the way.

The striker is valued at €40 million and Spurs certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done. The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be an attractive one for the player and he will look to compete in English football next season. He has proven his quality in Italian football and it remains to be seen whether he can hit the ground running in the Premier League.

Tottenham are yet to find a quality replacement for Harry Kane who left the club last summer. They have missed a clinical presence upfront this past season and the arrival of Gudmundsson could solve that problem.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat the competition from the other clubs and win the race for his signature.

Emerson Royal continues to be linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

AC Milan are keen on signing the Brazilian defender and they have already reached an agreement in principle with the player regarding his contract. However, the two clubs have not been able to secure an agreement yet. According to a report from Calciomercato, the defender’s agents are pushing for an exit and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The 25-year-old is not a regular starter for Tottenham and it would be ideal for the North London club to cash in on him. AC Milan need defensive reinforcements and the versatile defender could prove to be the ideal acquisition. He has proven his quality in La Liga and the Premier League. There is no doubt that he is good enough for Serie A as well.

Emerson will be hoping to play regularly at this stage of his career and Milan will be able to provide him with that opportunity. Tottenham are reportedly demanding a fee of around €25 million for the versatile fullback, and it remains to be seen whether Milan are ready to accept those demands.

The 25-year-old defender will hope that Spurs can secure an agreement with the Italian club and sort out his long-term future. He’s not a regular starter for the North London club and he needs to leave in order to play regularly. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can finalise the deal in the coming weeks.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg wants to part ways with Tottenham amidst interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Højbjerg has a year left on his deal with the North London club but the defensive midfielder has no intentions of continuing at Tottenham.

He has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou and according to Florian Plettenberg, the Danish international is keen on parting ways with Spurs and there is interest in his services from Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.

While he has been an integral part of their first team since arriving in the summer of 2020 from Southampton, things took a turn last season. He was involved in 36 league games but he was on the pitch for just over 1,300 minutes. Frustrated by the lack of game time and in search of regular first-team action, Hojbjerg has decided to leave Tottenham.

German giants Dortmund have been linked with the 28-year-old. They are looking to reinforce their squad ahead of next season. They want to add more quality to their midfield and have been working on a potential deal to bring in Pascal Groß to the club. If they fail to strike a deal with Brighton for the 33-year-old, Dortmund could then shift their attention towards Hojbjerg who is one of the several options they have.

The player was asked about the possibility of playing for Dortmund next season during the Euros.

He said: “It’s a great stadium. Now I’ll take a vacation first, then we’ll talk about the rest.”

Meanwhile, Hojbjerg’s compatriot Thomas Delaney who used to play for the German giants has also recommended the move to both parties.

Hojbjerg has a proven track record for both club and country. The defensive midfielder has been a consistent performer over the years and he could easily fit into Dortmund’s style of play. He could be a great option for them if they decide to push for his signature.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing the services of Stade Rennais attacking sensation Desire Doue.

Ange Postecoglou had an impressive start to life at Tottenham. Despite losing Harry Kane before the start of the campaign, he still managed to help them secure a fifth-placed finish.

They might have decided against signing a replacement last time out but the North London club are now looking to make the necessary changes to ensure they can push for a top-four finish next season.

Signing a striker remains a top priority, but the Australian manager is also keen on adding more depth on the flanks and according to Paul O Keefe, Spurs have a strong interest in Stade Rennais winger Desire Doue.

The Australian manager wants to have more options in wide areas as it will allow him to use Son Heung-min in a central role when needed.

Doue has had an exceptional rise at the French club. He has been a part of their first team since the summer of 2022 and has only gone from strength to strength in recent years. While the 19-year-old prefers playing on the left flank, he is capable of featuring anywhere in attack and his versatility is what attracts interest from a club like Spurs.

The North London outfit have been scouting him for some time now and he is believed to be quite high on their wishlist. With his contract running out in the summer of 2026, Stade Rennais could look to cash in on him now.

If they do not sell him now, they might have to consider cut-price offers for the player next year.
