Worry for Tottenham as Micky van de Ven becomes a summer target for European giants - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur might have to fend off interest in some of their key players during the upcoming transfer window.

One player attracting significant attention is standout defender Micky van de Ven.

According to Tottenham News’ sources, the Dutch centre-back is being closely monitored by European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, and Juventus.

Van de Ven, who joined Spurs last summer, has quickly adapted to the Premier League, establishing himself as a key player under manager Ange Postecoglou.

His impressive performances have earned him recognition as one of the best defenders in the division, inevitably drawing the attention of top clubs across Europe.

Despite the increasing interest, it is reported that the Lilywhites would require a substantial offer to consider parting ways with Van de Ven.

His consistent presence in the team, starting in all of his 27 Premier League appearances last season, has been crucial.

Additionally, Van de Ven has contributed offensively, scoring three goals as a defender.

One of the highlights of Van de Ven’s debut season was his remarkable speed. Earlier in February, he was recorded as the fastest player in the Premier League, reaching an impressive 37.38 km/h against Brentford.

Spurs are keen to retain the 23-year-old, given his outstanding contributions and the potential he has shown.

His seamless adaptation to the English top flight and his rapid development have made him a valuable asset to the club.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Tottenham will need to resist interest from top European clubs to keep hold of Van de Ven.

Description

Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is on the verge of leaving North London, with several clubs expressing interest in him.

Among these, AC Milan have emerged as a strong contender for his signature.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by Sport Witness, Hojbjerg is actively seeking a move away from Spurs, with his agents already engaging in talks with multiple clubs.

The report claims that the player himself wants out as he wants to play Champions League football next season and considers his time at Spurs ‘virtually over’. He has also started looking for a new house.

AC Milan view the Danish international as a valuable addition to their midfield and considers him an affordable target, with a potential transfer fee of around €20 million.

Ange Postecoglou has reportedly approved Hojbjerg’s sale, indicating that the midfielder does not fit into his long-term plans.

Last season, Hojbjerg made only eight Premier League starts out of his 36 appearances, prompting the 28-year-old to look for regular playing opportunities elsewhere.

Hojbjerg’s intention to leave has been apparent for several months, with interest from clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Fulham, Juventus, and Napoli.

Additionally, his former manager at Spurs, Jose Mourinho, has shown keen interest in reuniting with him at Fenerbahce. Mourinho, who heavily relied on Hojbjerg during his tenure at Tottenham, sees him as a crucial addition to his squad in Turkey.

Entering the final year of his contract, which expires in June next year, Tottenham is open to selling Hojbjerg for £20 million.

This transfer would provide the playing time the midfielder desires and generate funds for the Lilywhites to reinvest in new signings.

As the summer progresses, the upcoming weeks will be critical in determining Hojbjerg’s future and Spurs’ plans for strengthening their squad.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have been monitoring several midfield targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to the latest from Football Insider, Spurs are exploring the potential signing of Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie this summer.

This interest comes after Aston Villa’s negotiations with the American international have hit a roadblock, providing the Lilywhites with an opportunity to secure the midfielder’s signature.

Initially, McKennie seemed set for a move to Villa Park as part of a swap deal involving Douglas Luiz and Samuel Iling-Junior.

However, talks have slowed, leaving an opening for Tottenham to step in.

The report claims that McKennie has priced himself out of a move to Villa and Tottenham are now in talks over a potential deal.

Spurs have reportedly engaged in discussions to sign the 25-year-old for a cut-price fee of around £15 million, as the midfielder has entered the final year of his contract with Juventus.

Despite these developments, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano previously dispelled rumours linking McKennie to the Lilywhites.

Romano clarified that Tottenham are not actively pursuing the versatile midfielder at this time.

But as per Football Insider’s report, Spurs are very much keen on the player and are working on a deal.

His recent performances at Juventus, following a challenging loan spell with Leeds United, highlighted his significant contributions in midfield.

Last season, McKennie registered 10 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for the Old Lady, showcasing his value as a dynamic and influential player.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding McKennie, the Lilywhites remain committed to improving their midfield options.

Tottenham’s pursuit of new striker under jeopardy due to Richarlison situation - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham might need to adjust their summer transfer plans if current centre-forward Richarlison remains at the club.

The North London outfit has been actively scouting potential new strikers, including Santiago Gimenez, Ivan Toney, and Serhou Guirassy, ahead of the transfer window.

However, their pursuit of a top-tier targetman may be hindered if Richarlison does not secure a move away this summer.

According to sources from GIVEMESPORT, the club’s plans to recruit a new first-choice striker hinge on Richarlison’s departure.

If the Brazilian international stays, it could complicate efforts to bring in a new leading forward ahead of the upcoming season.

Recent reports have highlighted interest from Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal in Richarlison.

Despite having more than three years left on his contract, Tottenham are open to entertaining offers for their number 9.

Richarlison has not been able to make an impression at Spurs since his big money move from Everton. In his debut season he only scored one League goal all season.

His performance last season improved post surgery, as scored nine goals in eight consecutive games.

However, injuries hindered his progress, and he ended the season with 11 goals and four assists in 28 Premier League appearances.

His underwhelming performance have prompted the club to consider his sale.

Selling Richarlison would free up funds for a significant transfer, allowing Spurs to secure a new striker.

However, if the club does not find a suitor for the former Everton forward, it could complicate the Lilywhites’ transfer strategy.

26-year-old attacker ‘in the sights’ Tottenham, top four rivals keen as well - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keeping tabs on the Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.

The 26-year-old Italian international scored 10 goals for the Italian club last season and his performances have been rather impressive. He looked quite sharp in the European championships with Italy as well.

According to a report via IlBianconero, the attacker is ‘in the sights’ of Tottenham and Manchester United. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat their top-four rivals to his signature.

Both clubs need more quality in the wide areas and Chiesa could prove to be an upgrade on players like Richarlison and Manor Solomon. Dejan Kulusevski had a mediocre season last year as well and more competition for places will help the team improve.

The Italian international has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past and he could be excited to join a club like Tottenham. They have an exciting project and a talented squad. They have appointed a charismatic manager in Ange Postecoglou as well.

Tottenham will look to secure Champions League qualification next season and they will look to fight for domestic trophies as well. The Italian international could prove to be a game-changer in the attack. His ability to create goalscoring opportunities and take on defenders in the final third will add some much-needed cutting edge and unpredictability to the Spurs attack.

It will be interesting to see if the north London club come forward with an offer to sign the player in the coming weeks now.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur finds himself at the centre of a storm following a controversial remark he made during a recent interview.

The Uruguayan’s comment, which suggested that all South Korean people look the same as his teammate Son Heung-min, has sparked significant outrage and may lead to a disciplinary action by the FA.

The controversy arose from Bentancur’s appearance on the Uruguayan television program Por la Camiseta.

During the interview, when asked about obtaining a Tottenham player’s shirt, Bentancur quipped, “Maybe from his cousin” because “they all look the same.”

This comment was widely perceived as a racial slur and triggered a backlash from fans and the public alike.

In the wake of the backlash, Bentancur issued a public apology to Son, expressing deep regret for his words.

He clarified that the comment was meant as a poorly judged joke and not intended to offend anyone.

Tottenham captain Heung-min Son has also addressed the situation on social media, noting that he had a constructive conversation with Bentancur.

Son emphasised that Bentancur did not intend to cause harm and stressed the importance of moving forward together.

However, according to the Times, despite the apology, the FA is aware of the incident and is considering whether to charge Bentancur. The governing body is currently investigating to determine the appropriate course of action.

As Tottenham prepares for the upcoming season, the potential FA ban looms over Bentancur, and the club awaits the decision on his future involvement on the pitch.

The incident has cast a shadow over Tottenham’s pre-season activities, with fans and the club watching closely to see how the situation unfolds.

Tottenham have no problem paying €40-45 million for 22-year-old target - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham are willing to meet the demands of Bologna as they look to sign Riccardo Calafiori.

Despite having added Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin to their squad over the last two windows, Ange Postecoglou still feels the need to sign another centre-back to ensure they have enough depth to compete with the best teams in the country.

According to Tutto Juve, Tottenham are keen on signing Riccardo Calafiori and they would be willing to meet Bologna’s request of €40-45 million for the young Italian defensive sensation.

The 22-year-old has attracted a lot of interest on the back of his impressive performances and Bologna are hoping for a bidding war in the summer.

Things might not have worked out for Calafiori at AS Roma but his return to the Italian top flight has been exceptional. After proving himself at FC Basel, he made the switch to Bologna last summer. In his debut season, he was involved in 30 Serie A games and even contributed towards seven goals.

The 22-year-old excelled as a centre-back as well as a left-back. His consistent performances resulted in him getting picked for the Euros where he has managed to further enhance his reputation. Spurs feel he could be an ideal fit for their team and his versatility could come in handy.

Tottenham have no intention to miss out on Clafiori. They are pushing for his signature in recent days and have no problem meeting Bologna’s asking price of €40-45 million. While striking a deal with the Italian club won’t be a problem, Spurs will have to convince the player about the move as he prefers reuniting with Thiago Motta at Juventus.

Tottenham can sign 15-G/A versatile attacker for just €20 million - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur can now bring Marcus Edwards back to the club for just €20 million.

Ange Postecoglou is keen on adding more depth and quality to his attack. While their priority is to sign a new number nine, they are also looking to bolster the flanks and according to Correio da Manha via SportWitness, Spurs can resign Marcus Edwards for just €20 million.

The 25-year-old winger parted ways with Tottenham back in the summer of 2019. After a few impressive seasons with Vitoria, he made the move to Sporting CP in the winter of 2022 and has only gone from strength to strength since.

Edwards has been a consistent performer for the Portuguese outfit and Spurs are now considering bringing him back to the club as they look to add more depth on the flanks. With the player capable enough to feature on either flank, Tottenham feel Edwards is the best option to ensure they meet the criteria for homegrown players in their squad next season.

The Sporting winger who contributed towards 15 goals last term has a great understanding of English football and on top of that, Spurs still own 35% of his future sale. With the North London club looking to resign him, the sell-on clause will now help them get a heavy discount.

With Edwards also keen on making a return to the Premier League, it is now up to the clubs to reach an agreement. The report states that a fee of around €20 million will be enough to convince Sporting CP to part ways with the English winger.

Tottenham looking to raid Spanish outfit for 23-year-old ace - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the services of Spanish shot-stopper Joan Garcia.

The North London club are always on the lookout for players who can help further strengthen their squad and they have found a young goalkeeping prospect in the Spanish second division. According to Grada 3, Joan Garcia’s impressive rise at RCD Espanyol has put him on the radar of Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou is keen on strengthening every area on the pitch as he looks to take Spurs to the next level. The Australian manager wants more quality in his rotations and is interested in having Garcia at his disposal.

Guglielmo Vicario who arrived at Tottenham last summer is their first choice in goal. While they do have enough depth in that position, they need a more quality backup option and Espanyol shot-stopper Garcia could be a great fit for them.

The 23-year-old has come up the ranks at the Spanish club and he has been a part of their first team since the summer of 2021. In the 2023/24 campaign, he was involved in 14 league games and ended up keeping a clean sheet on eight occasions.

His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there is interest in Garcia’s services from Spain as well as other parts of Europe. Tottenham are interested in the young shot-stoppers’ services but they haven’t made any moves yet. For now, the North London club are just monitoring the Spanish youth international on the back of his consistent performances.

It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official proposal for the player.

Tottenham want 35-G/A forward who has been made available for a bargain - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a quality striker this summer and they have identified Jonathan David as a target.

According to Inews, LOSC Lille are prepared to sell the player this summer and they have set an asking price of £25 million. David could prove to be a bargain at that price.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a move for him. They need to bring in a reliable goalscorer who can lead the line for them. They are yet to bring in a quality replacement for Harry Kane.

Although Son Heung-min did a reasonably good job leading the line for them last season, Spurs need a more reliable finisher in their ranks. The Canadian international has proven himself in the French league and he will look to make his mark in English football as well if the transfer goes through.

David scored 26 goals in all competition last season and the 24 year-old is certainly good enough to join a club like Tottenham. Meanwhile, the likes of Manchester United, West Ham and Aston Villa have been linked with the 24-year-old striker as well.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

The striker is in the final year of his contract with the French outfit and they are under pressure to sell him for a reasonable price. Tottenham must make most of the situation situation and get the deal done quickly.

Signing a quality goalscorer could transform them in the final third and and help them secure Champions League qualification and push for domestic trophies.
