Tottenham may need to wait until this summer before sending Luca Williams-Barnett on loan.

Williams-Barnett is one of Tottenham’s most promising youngsters and is a huge favourite among supporters.

He made his debut for the Lilywhites in Spurs’ 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup third round earlier this season.

And now that he has returned from England’s Under-17 World Cup run, all eyes are on him once again.

Luca Williams-Barnett unlikely to be loaned this winter

Williams-Barnett was recently nominated for Premier League 2 Player of the Month for the second time this season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Given his recent performances, fans have become convinced that the Premier League is too easy for the rising star who many believe should be loaned this winter.

However, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham has pointed out that FA rules make that near impossible.

“I think there is some sort of rule that prevents him from going out on loan,” Wenham said.

“He could have his first loan from the end of this season because of when his birthday falls as well. I remember the same thing that happened with Mikey Moore, where we were talking about getting him out alone before, but he actually couldn’t because of his age.

“I think there is some rule, and it’s also to do with securing him and making sure he’s club trained when he’s older. So there’ll be a reason as to why Tottenham are keeping him around.

“But, I would like to see him go out on loan from next August. A sort of thing where he does preseason with Tottenham and then heads out on loan.”

What are the FA’s loan rules?

According to the FA, players must be at least 17 years old and have signed a professional contract to be loaned from a Premier League club.

While Williams-Barnett satisfies that criterion, the loan agreement also requires a parent or guardian’s signature, and the player must not be in full-time education.

Currently, the attacking midfielder is in education within the academy system which could pose an issue for any potential loan deal.

As a result, Tottenham may need to wait until the summer to secure the youngster’s first loan.

Thomas Frank could soon be in jeopardy of losing his job at Tottenham.

Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, but things haven’t necessarily been on an upward trajectory after his move from Brentford.

Frank has come under pressure to be sacked at Tottenham after a mixed start to life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Dane hasn’t helped himself after Tottenham fell to a 4-1 defeat against Arsenal in North London Derby humiliation at the Emirates.

Should the Lilywhites’ hierarchy look to make a change in the dugout, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner could prove to be the go-to man in N17.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Oliver Glasner could replace Thomas Frank at Tottenham

Glasner has emerged as a favourite option for Tottenham if the Danish head coach is to be shown the door in North London.

The German has done an excellent job at Selhurst Park, transforming the Eagles into genuine contenders for European qualification this season.

He also secured an FA Cup win last season and is hopeful of winning the Europa Conference League this campaign.

Tottenham may go on to offer him an ultimatum to join them, which could end his hopes of winning European silverware.

His 3-4-3 approach gets the most out of wingbacks while also benefiting forward players and defenders.

Frank has comparatively failed to succeed utilising a similar system, so it could be ideal to bring in someone with much better experience with that tactical approach.

Frank could face sack at Tottenham

The Lilywhites remain determined to give Frank more time before they are to show him the door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Telegraph has suggested that Frank’s high volume of changes has contributed to inconsistency and inconsistent performances in N17.

If the Brentford boss is going to continually alter his side and tactical approach, it could prove to be the end of the road shortly.

That could leave the door open for Glasner to come in from Palace and turn things around and try and fire Spurs towards European qualification.

The temptation of playing Champions League football in itself could prove to be enough for him to make a switch across the capital.

Tottenham are now focused on signing FC Porto striker Samu Aghehowa.

Dominic Solanke has been sidelined for Tottenham with an ankle injury, which has left Spurs struggling for a prolific centre-forward option.

His absence on the pitch has been clear to see with Spurs struggling to create any meaningful chances against Arsenal in a game that ended in a 4-1 defeat for the Lilywhites.

As a result, Tottenham are keen to arm Thomas Frank with reinforcements, and Aghehowa is the chosen one.

Tottenham want to fill Harry Kane’s legacy

Tottenham want to sign FC Porto striker Aghehowa to help strengthen their attacking options, according to Sacha Tavolieri via Sky Sports on 22 November.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs consider Aghehowa as the ideal profile to integrate into the renewed system of Frank.

The Dane is known for sublimating his centre-forwards like the successes of Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins while they were at Brentford.

The Lilywhites could therefore soon launch a concrete offensive for one of the most followed offensive talents in world football, hoping to finally fill the legacy left by Harry Kane.

This comes after Tottenham were linked with Toney with the intention of reuniting him with his former boss.

But given Aghehowa’s age and potential, he definitely seems like the more cost-effective choice for the future.

Richarlison in trouble at Tottenham

Richarlison could leave Tottenham this winter after a pretty mediocre start to the season.

The Brazilian has netted five goals and has provided two assists in 19 games played this season.

Meanwhile, Aghehowa’s stats speak for themselves.

His physicality is one of the most noticeable parts of the game.

The way he can shrug off defenders and make quick, sharp movements in the box will no doubt make adjusting to the Premier League easier.

While he is still quite raw, given his age and potential, Richarlison could have more than scoring goals to worry about in the near future.

Description

Tottenham plan to invite legend Son Heung-min back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December, most likely for their Premier League clash versus Liverpool.

Son departed Tottenham after almost a decade in North London to reunite with Hugo Lloris at LAFC.

His last ever game was played in South Korea during Spurs’ pre-season game against Newcastle United where he was substituted to a standing ovation.

However, the former Tottenham star could be back in North London sooner than fans think.

Son Heung-min to be honoured at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Son recently stated he’d like to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to bid farewell to the fans on home turf.

MORE SPURS STORIES

While there was not a dry eye in the house in South Korea, the destination meant that thousands of fans were unable to attend the game.

It has now been revealed that Tottenham are preparing to invite Son back to London for a December home game, according to Han June via X on 25 November.

It is believed that the Lilywhites are planning a pre-match ceremony, half-time tribute and a special gift to honour his legendary decade in North London.

There will also be a private visit to Hotspur Way to meet and greet his former staff.

Son netted a last-minute free kick to keep LAFC alive in the MLS playoffs. However, his side later lost to Vancouver on penalties, which marked the end of their season.

With the South Korean not back in action until February and Tottenham set to welcome him in December, the earliest date fans can expect to see their beloved left winger will be on 6 December when Spurs hosts Brentford in the Premier League.

However, the report claims that an appearance on 20 December, for the clash with Liverpool, is most likely.

Tottenham are still missing Son Heung-min

Tottenham are a team who have lacked goals and creativity in the Premier League this season.

While Wilson Odobert has shown promise these past couple of weeks, Spurs still lack an experienced left winger.

Tottenham are eyeing Antonie Semenyo to take over on the left wing, but with several Premier League sides interested, it’s doubtful they will sign him.

Given the circumstances, there will likely be some extra appreciation in the air when Son returns to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham could turn to Oliver Glasner to replace Thomas Frank as head coach.

Frank is coming under pressure at Tottenham as results and performance levels continue to spiral downwards at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There was frustration in the air when Tottenham lost 1-0 to Chelsea in North London, but it has only gotten worse since.

Spurs fell to a 4-1 defeat against Arsenal in the North London Derby on Sunday, with little to no positivity for the Lilywhites to take away from the Emirates.

Frank is now edging towards the sack in N17, with Glasner emerging as an early favourite to take over from the Dane.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Oliver Glasner tops Tottenham next manager odds

Glasner emerged as a target for Tottenham in the summer, but ultimately remained at Crystal Palace for the current campaign.

The German has continued to succeed with the Eagles, with European qualification a serious possibility at Selhurst Park right now.

Palace are sitting fifth in the Premier League after 12 games, two points ahead of Tottenham, despite the excitement in North London before the season began.

Annoyance is swirling around the Lilywhites, and that could end with Frank losing his job after just months in charge, following his move from Brentford.

Glasner looks to be the go-to man for Spurs, should they move the Dane on, with his odds reflecting that as of 25 November.

The Palace boss currently comes in at odds of 5/1 with BetVictor ahead of the likes of Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva, who are rated at 8/1.

Thomas Frank to be given more time by Tottenham

Glasner may be seen as an ideal target for many Spurs fans, but as it stands, the sack trigger doesn’t seem to be going to be pulled on Frank.

The Telegraph reported on 24 November that the Lilywhites are determined to give the ex-Brentford boss more time to make it work in N17.

Sources from inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have suggested that the high volume of changes from Frank have contributed to inconsistency, which could change in the coming weeks.

If it doesn’t and the performances continue to leave supporters enraged, it could be time for Glasner to make a switch across the capital.

Description

Tottenham have made an offer to sign Athletic Club winger Nico Williams.

It was suggested that Wilson Odobert had a golden chance to become Tottenham’s starting left winger now that Son Heung-min is at LAFC.

However, while the youngster has had his moments, as his recent performance in Spurs’ 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League highlights, he may not yet be ready to become a consistent starter.

As a result, Tottenham are keen to sign reinforcements for Thomas Frank and have looked abroad for solutions.

Tottenham take the leap for Nico Williams

Tottenham have equalled Chelsea’s £62million bid for Williams, according to Fichajes on 22 November.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Lilywhites view him as someone who would fit in perfectly with their offensive project.

However, while Athletic Club is aware of the movements surrounding their player and appreciates his status in world football, they still view the left winger as a crucial piece of their long-term project.

However, both teams are convinced of the Spain international’s qualities, and there are even suggestions that they’re willing to triple his current salary with the Spanish side.

While Athletic Club want to keep the 23-year-old, they’re aware that football changes quickly. Not to mention that playing in the Premier League is an attractive prospect for the player.

As a result, Williams to Tottenham is something that fans should keep a close eye on.

Nico Williams is a gamble

For his performances with the Spanish national team, Williams’ potential is undeniable when used correctly.

However, one word to sum up his, albeit short, career would be inconsistent.

This season, the winger netted and provided two assists in Athletic Club’s 3-2 opening La Liga win over Sevilla. He then failed to register a goal contribution for six more games.

Odobert is already inconsistent for Tottenham, and signing Williams could be overkill.

Therefore, while he is a good young prospect, Tottenham would be taking a huge gamble.

Supercomputer predicts PSG vs Tottenham result in Champions League showdown

Tottenham will look to cause an upset in the Champions League on Wednesday when they travel to take on Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

Arsenal smashed Tottenham 4-1 in the North London derby on Sunday, with Eberechi Eze‘s hat-trick marking a terrible day for the Lilywhites.

And Thomas Frank‘s team cannot expect a much easier game on 26 November, with the Champions League holders representing one of the fiercest teams in Europe.

Tottenham lost on penalties after a 2-2 draw with PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final in August, in what was a positive first outing of the season for Frank’s men.

Three months on, however, things are looking far more bleak for the Dane, with Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Copenhagen being their only victory from the last five games across all competitions.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Tottenham will be massive underdogs vs PSG

Frank is expected to make several changes to his team to face PSG, with Sunday’s performance outlining everything that is going wrong for the Dane.

Tottenham were bested on all fronts at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal pressing high and capitalising on constant giveaways from the visitors.

Frank set up his team to defend, deploying a five-at-the-back formation and sitting all 11 players behind the ball for much of the opening period.

But when Leandro Trossard found space and gave the home side the lead, Tottenham were left high and dry, with their game plan out of the window.

Frank will presumably have learned from Sunday’s game and is expected to select a more competitive team to take on the French champions, who hold a significant advantage in the eyes of Opta‘s supercomputer.

Tottenham have been given just a 17 per cent chance of emerging victorious from the Parc des Princes, with PSG holding a massive 62 per cent chance of seeing off their Premier League opposition.

The supercomputer has given a 19 per cent chance of the scores ending level, which would be a strong result for Tottenham in France.

Danger all over the pitch for PSG

PSG have not quite shown the electric form they ended last season with in this campaign so far, but they still carry significant danger for Tottenham to be wary of.

Bradley Barcola and Vitinha have been exceptional so far this season, with Joao Neves and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also in fine form.

Achraf Hakimi will be unavailable for the clash, however, and there are doubts over Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele’s fitness.

Even still, Wednesday’s game will require a monster effort from a Tottenham side severely lacking in confidence after Sunday’s showing.

Tottenham star could follow in Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall’s footsteps as mega-money feat achieved

Tottenham have been told that Luka Vuskovic should be among football’s best and most valuable teenagers.

The CIES Football Observatory recently named Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall as two of the most valuable teenagers in world football. The two have a combined worth of £106m.

Their appearance doesn’t come as a surprise, given that both became UEFA Europa League winners with Tottenham last season.

Both Gray and Bergvall were also praised for their commitment during training under Ange Postecoglou.

However, they’re not the only teenagers good enough to make the list.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Luka Vuskovic is one of Tottenham’s most promising talents

Tottenham loaned Vuskovic to German side Hamburg over the summer to further his development plan.

The defender has impressed for the Bundesliga team, playing 810 minutes in the league this season.

As a result, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham believes Vuskovic should’ve been named alongside his teammates as football’s most valuable teenagers.

“Both have played at Premier League level just for one season, and both are great Europa League winners. So both of them have actually been there and done it,” Wenham said.

“It’s all well and good for other players doing this, that, and the other. But they’ve actually been there, played a part in winning something. They’ve both improved a lot.

“They’re very young, especially Bergvall. To come from where he did, I mean, Gray had had 40 Championship games under his belt, but Bergvall, to come out of the Swedish League and just slot into top-flight football in the Premier League is so impressive.

“I think they’re both rightly on there. And I think the other one that should be on there is Vuskovic, seeing how he’s seamlessly settled into life in the Bundesliga.”

The stat that makes Luka Vuskovic stand out

One of the most noticeable things about Vuskovic’s performances in the Bundesliga has been his completeness.

The youngster has been defensively sound:

The defender has also won 69 per cent of his total duels, according to Sofascore. His clearance statistic is the most out of any player in the Bundesliga this season.

As such, Tottenham will no doubt have one of the most exciting young prospects at their disposal once he returns next summer.

Ange Postecoglou now major candidate for Premier League return with London club

Ange Postecoglou now major candidate for Premier League return with London club - tottenhamhotspurnews.com
Description

Ange Postecoglou has had an incredibly busy six months since winning the Europa League with Tottenham.

Postecoglou was sacked by Tottenham for the team’s underperformance in the league, as he led them to a 17th-placed finish in 2024-25.

Thomas Frank replaced Postecoglou in N17 over the summer, and he has made a mixed start to the season.

It wasn’t long before the Aussie was back in management, but his disastrous spell at Nottingham Forest lasted just 39 days as he was sacked on 18 October after a dismal winless run.

However, it might not be too long before the former Tottenham manager is back in another dugout, as links with Fulham begin to intensify.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Ange Postecoglou in line to replace Marco Silva as next Fulham manager

Postecoglou has also been linked with the Leeds job in the past and he is now being touted for a move to South London.

Marco Silva has done a brilliant job at Fulham by turning them into an established Premier League team, but they’ve had a fairly underwhelming start to the season.

Fulham recorded a huge 1-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday to leave them 15th in the Premier League table, although that hasn’t stopped speculation over Silva’s future.

The Australian manager’s record at Forest hasn’t deterred clubs from being interested in his services, and his unique style of play could be of interest to Fulham.

The betting market has now opened on Fulham finding a replacement for Silva, and Postecoglou is one of the leading candidates.

Brendan Rodgers is the current 7/5 favourite for the Fulham job and Postecoglou is the 2/1 second-favourite.

Scott Parker (3/1), Roberto De Zerbi (4/1), Kjetil Knutsen (5/1), and Erik ten Hag (5/1) are all among the front-runners for the role if Silva were to leave Fulham.

Fulham would be foolish to place faith in Ange Postecoglou

Postecoglou’s woeful reign at Nottingham Forest was a damning reflection on how his philosophy isn’t suitable for the top flight.

As the Premier League becomes more physical, there is a heavier reliance on set-pieces, which is something that the 60-year-old never paid much attention to.

Defensive stability is the furthest thing he offers to a team, and for teams on lower budgets, they can’t afford to be so poor off the ball.

Fulham shouldn’t plan on sacking Silva, but if they do, Postecoglou is one of the last candidates they should consider.

Arsenal could rival Tottenham in their pursuit of Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo this winter.

Tottenham suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

The pathetic display left Tottenham fans with very little faith in Thomas Frank moving forward, with discontent growing each day.

And now the Gunners could very well humiliate the Lilywhites off the pitch as much as they already have on it, ahead of the January transfer window.

Tottenham must prepare to face Arsenal challenge for Antoine Semenyo

Eberechi Eze to Tottenham was all but signed over the summer, before Arsenal swooped in for him in the final moments.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The attacking midfielder went on to score the first North London derby hat-trick since Alan Sunderland in 1978 in the drubbing on Sunday.

It was a masterclass, and there are fears it could happen again if Arsenal sink their claws into Tottenham target Semenyo.

While Spurs are interested in triggering Semenyo’s reported £65million release clause this winter, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham believes Arsenal will rival them to the winger’s signature.

“He’d be a fantastic addition, and I hate to say it, but you could absolutely see Arsenal selling Leandro Trossard or someone and then just get Semenyo,” Wenham said.

“It’s the sort of thing they do. Unfortunately, they do buy very, very well, and even this summer, we saw the amount of depth they added to their squad.

“It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if they saw that as a great bit of business at £65m for a player that’s probably worth £90-95m.”

Tottenham cannot afford to miss out on Antoine Semenyo

While Wilson Odobert has made a convincing case to become Frank’s starting left winger, his game against Arsenal highlighted just how raw he still is.

Meanwhile, Semenyo has netted six goals and has provided three assists in 11 Premier League games this season.

The difference is astounding, and given Spurs’ goalscoring and creativity issues, he could be the perfect player to transform their season.

After their humiliating defeat on Sunday and the failed Eze transfer mission over the summer, Tottenham can’t afford to miss out to their rivals once again.
