With the Lewis family almost guaranteed to be running Tottenham for at least the next six months, they now have the biggest responsibility to help them to success this year.

Lewis family need to back Thomas Frank in the January transfer market

It’s all well and good for the Lewis family to state their intention to help Tottenham achieve success, but that will be determined in the January transfer window.

“He goes on loan and then we just see what we’re working with again, next pre-season, next summer. So you’ve got to remember the whole time Radu Dragusin is coming back as well, and he’ll rightly be in front of Takai for game time.”

With limited experience in England, the defender needs game time to adapt to the pace of Premier League football.

But if Spurs do opt to own the young star out, it will need to be to a club willing to grant him game time, which is an issue the Lilywhites have faced early in the season.

Tottenham could use Kota Takai this season

Logic dictates that a player who has yet to play in an English league will need time to adapt to its demands.

That seems like the likely outcome with Takai, but football is not linear, and Tottenham could play over 50 games this season.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are Spurs’ best centre-back pairing when fit, emphasis on when.

Both have been lucky with injuries so far, but the season is still in its early stages, and the intensity of games will only increase here on out.

Earick informed the Stock Exchange on Monday that he will not be going ahead with his takeover.

The former DJ has now posted a screenshot of the letter on his personal X account along with a message for supporters.

The tweet read: “It’s been a privilege engaging with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family’s representatives over the past few months.

“I have great respect for the club, its leadership, and its supporters, and wish them nothing but success.”

Earick pulling out is another sign that Joe Lewis and his family have no desire to sell up their shares.

Brooklyn Earick scraps Tottenham takeover attempt

Earick has been very public with his pursuit of Tottenham, even sharing images from a previous visit to the stadium.

Indeed, the mega-rich American has even posted various comments on social media during Tottenham matches of late.

But it has now been confirmed via a statement to the Stock Exchange that Earick will not be pursuing the takeover attempt further at this point.

“Further to the announcement made by the Board of Tottenham Hotspur Limited on 26 September 2025, Mr Brooklyn Earick confirms that he does not intend to make a firm offer for the company,” the statement read.

According to The Sun, this follows significant talks between Earick and Joe Lewis’s legal counsel Douglas Armstrong.

Joe Lewis has no intention of selling up at Tottenham

Even when fans were getting excited by a possible changing of the guard, it was reported Lewis and his family had no intention of bowing out.

And on the basis of Earick backing down – for now – it appears as though Lewis has made it clear through his representative that still remains the case.

Lewis does indeed have no intention of selling his stake, which means Spurs will continue to be overseen by him for a while longer yet.

That is something Spurs fans will have to simply accept. There will no doubt be more speculation similar to this, but Lewis is hear to stay.

Richarlison’s current season is superior in every metric but off duels won, to which Solanke excels.

This is noticeable when on the pitch. The former Everton star’s all-round game is more pronounced than Solanke, who is more of a pure striker.

Both offer different things while on the pitch, but perhaps the future will look kindly on Frank for sticking with Richarlison a little while longer.

Guglielmo Vicario has struggled to reach the same level displayed during his Tottenham debut season.

Vicario was linked with a departure from Tottenham over the summer, after a difficult second season under Ange Postecoglou.

Other than his heroics to help Spurs lift the UEFA Europa League, the keeper’s performances were subpar.

This poor run of form has carried into the Thomas Frank era, with Jamie O’Hara recently left furious with Vicario for his role in Leeds United’s goal at Elland Road.

At 28 years of age, Vicario is younger, fitter and can contribute a lot more on and off the pitch.

Therefore, Spurs supporters will need to stick behind Vicario for a little while longer, no matter how difficult that seems at the moment.
