Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to make an audacious swoop to sign Aston Villa ace Morgan Rogers, as per the Daily Mail.

After becoming the Lilywhites’ new manager, Thomas Frank has prioritised purchasing a new creative midfielder this summer. Initially, they attempted to buy Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, but the Reds didn’t allow his departure.

Following James Maddison’s serious knee injury, the need for a new No.10 has increased. Dejan Kulusevski can provide cover in this position if needed, but has also been out injured.

Spurs have identified Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze as a serious option, but Arsenal are also interested in signing the Englishman. Now, the Daily Mail report that Tottenham have registered their interest in signing Rogers.

Despite already selling Jacob Ramsey this summer, Aston Villa can’t afford to spend money to add new faces due to PSR regulations. So, they need one more sale, but the Villans are desperate to keep hold of their star man.

Unai Emery’s side’s stance hasn’t deterred Tottenham from signing Rogers, and they will bid to sign the Englishman should the Villans allow his departure this summer.

Rogers to Tottenham

The 23-year-old is valued at around £47m by Transfermarkt and still has five years left in his current contract. Therefore, Aston Villa can demand a huge fee if they are forced to cash-in.

Rogers is a versatile forward as he is comfortable playing in the CAM and left-wing roles. Emery used him on the right flank at times last season, but he wasn’t at his best in this area.

The former Middlesbrough star is quick, strong, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, is efficient in creating opportunities for fellow attackers, can finish off his chances, and also works hard without possession.

Rogers is a top-class player and possesses the potential to become a great forward in the future. Therefore, he would be a great coup for the Lilywhites should they purchase him.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held initial talks with Atletico Madrid over a deal to sign Conor Gallagher, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes.

The Lilywhites have already reinforced the midfield department by signing Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich. However, he has joined on a loan deal, plus there is an option to make the move permanent next summer.

Spurs currently have Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Palhinha, Yves Bissouma, Lucas Bergvall, and Archie Gray as options for the engine room. However, Bissouma has been linked with a move away, while Gray and Bergvall are still young and need time to develop.

The young duo showcased in the UEFA Super Cup that they aren’t ready to play at the highest level yet. Spurs were in the driving seat to win the game, but since their introduction late in the second half, Thomas Frank’s side lost control of the game. Eventually, they lost the match in penalties despite leading 2-0.

Now, Fichajes state that Tottenham are contemplating purchasing a new midfielder before the end of this transfer window and are seriously considering signing Gallagher.

The Lilywhites have even held formal talks with Los Rojiblancos over this deal. Although the Spanish giants signed him last summer, they are prepared to cash-in on him as they believe he doesn’t fit in Diego Simeone’s playing style.

Gallagher to Tottenham

They want around £43m to let him leave, and the North London club are ‘willing’ to match the figure to lure Gallagher away from Estadio Metropolitano.

However, the report mention that purchasing the Englishman won’t be straightforward for Tottenham as Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are also plotting a swoop. Gallagher ranked through Chelsea’s youth system before coming into the spotlight during an impressive loan spell with Crystal Palace.

Gallagher is an energetic, versatile midfielder and can play anywhere across the middle of the park. He previously showcased his qualities in the Premier League with the Eagles and Chelsea. So, he would be a shrewd acquisition for Tottenham should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually opt to secure his service to reinforce the midfield department.

Tottenham Hotspur could sign Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo in surprise deal - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur were beaten by Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday, and in spite of a largely dominant performance by them, a lack of offensive quality in midfield was one of the reasons why they fell short.

With James Maddison already ruled out for much of the campaign, Spurs are looking for solutions in the transfer market and are leading a number of Premier League clubs in a bid to sign Barcelona star Dani Olmo, according to Fichajes.

Barcelona are prepared to let the former RB Leipzig midfielder leave over concerns about his consistent form and fitness, with a £52 million offer expected to be enough to lure him away from the La Liga champions this month, as per the report.

Olmo scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions last season but a frail injury record coupled with Barca’s financial issues has made his transfer a very realistic possibility in the ongoing transfer window.

Olmo a superb potential signing for Spurs

Dani Olmo would be a brilliant new signing for Tottenham Hotspur if indeed they are able to strike a deal with Barcelona. The 27-year-old promises to be a great medium-term option to play as the attacking midfielder.

He is very intelligent on the ball and orchestrates play really well by dropping deeper too. The Spanish international has a good reading of where space can be exploited, makes great passes into the final third and his late runs in the box can be menacing too.

In addition to being the number 10, Olmo can play on the left wing and as a centre forward too, while previously, he has also been employed in a deeper-lying position in the engine room, where he has played to just as good effect as in an advanced role.

Eberechi Eze prefers joining Arsenal over Tottenham Hotspur this summer - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is expected to leave the club in the ongoing transfer window with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur most keen on signing him.

According to The Guardian, the Englishman is leaning towards joining the Gunners over the Lilywhites, putting Arsenal in pole position to win the race for his signature.

Arsenal have been reluctant to meet Eze’s £68 million release clause this summer, but with the clause now expired, the Gunners will hope to agree a more favourable deal with Palace.

In the last few weeks, Arsenal have been looking to offload Leandro Trossard to make room for Eze’s arrival. There is a sense that Mikel Arteta’s employers will not face trouble meeting the forward’s personal demands.

In addition to Eze, Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes has also emerged as a suitable alternative as far as the left wing is concerned but the Crystal Palace ace will be a cheaper acquisition and comes with a track record of performances in the Premier League.

Eze transfer to Arsenal a matter of time

Eberechi Eze’s transfer to Arsenal only looks like a matter of time and once the Londoners are able to get rid of a player or two, they would look to finalise an agreement for the 27-year-old by the end of this month.

Leandro Trossard has already received offers from within the Premier League as well as overseas, so his exit might only be a matter of time, thereby freeing up a like-for-like spot in the Arsenal squad to accommodate Eze.

Crystal Palace have been resigned to losing him this summer but after losing out on their appeal of being re-introduced into the Europa League, they could possibly lower their demands for the forward in order to balance their books more effectively.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are in battle with West Ham United and Everton to sign Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo this summer, according to Fichajes.

The Japanese forward has found consistency with the San Sebastián outfit after failing to break into the first teams of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

He also had spells at Villarreal and Mallorca before eventually joining Sociedad on a permanent deal from Madrid in 2022, where he has enjoyed stable form.

Kubo has since made 137 appearances for the club, netting 23 goals and providing 18 assists across all competitions. He is also a regular at the international level for the Japanese national team, where he has featured 44 times since making his senior debut for the Samurai Blue in 2019.

Having garnered such vast experience at just 24, it’s no surprise several clubs in the Premier League are now battling to sign him this summer.

Now, according to Fichajes, Tottenham have indicated interest in the possible transfer of the Japan international to North London this summer.

The report further claims that Kubo is seeking an exit from the Reale Arena this summer, with his relationship with the Spanish side having broken down to an almost irreparable level.

Spurs have now set their sights on the pacey forward but face stern competition from Premier League rivals, including Everton, West Ham and Bournemouth, while Italian giants AC Milan have also entered the race to sign him, as per the report.

Battle

The English clubs have shown willingness to up their offer to match his £51m release clause, according to the Spanish outlet, so it’ll be interesting to see if Spurs will trump their rivals by presenting attractive personal terms to the player.

Thomas Frank’s men begin their Premier League season against Burnley on Saturday, seeking improvement after ending the previous campaign in 17th place under Ange Postecoglou.

Skipper Son Heung-min has departed the side, while Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus has arrived in a big-money move from West Ham.

While Kubo is unlikely to serve as a direct replacement for Son, given his natural role on the right flank, he also possesses the versatility to operate centrally in an attacking midfield position, providing Frank with a broad spectrum of tactical possibilities and deployment strategies should the club trump their rivals to secure his signature this summer.

Tottenham set to ‘push’ to sign Man City forward Savinho

Tottenham set to ‘push’ to sign Man City forward Savinho - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to ‘push’ for a move to sign Manchester City forward Savinho, as per transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Following Thomas Frank’s arrival as the new manager, the Lilywhites have purchased Mohammed Kudus to bolster the frontline and João Palhinha to reinforce the engine room.

However, the Portuguese has joined on an initial loan deal and Spurs have an option to make the move permanent next summer. Now, following Son Heung-min’s departure, the north London club are looking for a new wide forward to replace the South Korean.

On GiveMeSport, Romano says that Tottenham have made an approach to sign Savinho, but the Citizens aren’t happy with that, as the window has only 20 days left.

Frank is really ‘pushing’ to sign the Brazilian, and he is ‘tempted’ by the prospect of joining the Lilywhites. Therefore, Tottenham will make a ‘push’ to secure his service over the coming days.

However, Man City won’t allow the forward to leave for around £43m, which is the opening proposal Tottenham made, and want £60m at least.

Savinho to Tottenham

Romano said:

“I think it’s possible. It’s not easy, because City would love to keep the player. They are not so happy with this approach, with 20 days to go, for an important player like Savinho. But at the same time, Savinho is quite open to this possibility to go to Totenham. My understanding is that the coach, Thomas Frank, is really pushing to have Savinho and to make him one of the stars of the squad.

“So, of course, Savinho, from what I’m hearing, is really, really tempted by this opportunity. Let’s see between clubs what happens, because 50 or 55 million euros will never be enough for Manchester City to give the green light to this deal. From what I’m hearing, it has to be at least 70 million euros for Man City to give consideration to this approach from Tottenham. So let’s see what happens there. But I think Tottenham will really push on this one again in the next hours or days.”

Although Son has left the club, Tottenham already have Wilson Odobert, Kudus, Brennan Johnson, and Dejan Kulusevski for the wide forward position. Moreover, Mathys Tel and Richarlison can be deployed on the flanks, even though they are centre-forwards by trait.

However, considering Tottenham will have to play Champions League football this season, they are seemingly planning to add further depth in the frontline to achieve their objectives in every competition.

Savinho is a left-footed versatile forward, as he is comfortable playing on either flank. The 21-year-old is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become a top-class forward in the future.

Therefore, he would be a great coup for Tottenham should they eventually manage to lure him away from the Etihad Stadium before the end of this transfer window.

West Ham & Tottenham eye move to sign Facundo Buonanotte - football-talk.co.uk
Description

West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Brighton and Hove Albion forward Facundo Buonanotte, as per the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old moved to AMEX Stadium back in January 2023. He initially showcased glimpses of his potential but never managed to secure his place in the Seagulls’ starting XI.

Therefore, he was allowed to join Leicester City on a loan deal to play regularly and develop his career last summer. However, the Argentinian was used as a rotational option at King Power Stadium, scoring five goals and registering two assists in 14 league starts.

Following the Foxes’ relegation, they have decided not to sign him permanently, and the Daily Mail report that Brighton are ready to let Buonanotte leave on a loan deal once again this summer.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have expressed their interest in signing him, but Fabian Hurzeler’s side want him to continue his development in the Premier League.

According to the report, West Ham are interested in him and could make a concrete approach to secure his services this month. However, the Hammers face competition as Spurs are also showing a keen interest in Buonanotte while Leeds United and Nottingham Forest are also credited with interest.

Battle

Tottenham want a new No.10 following James Maddison’s serious knee injury. Eberechi Eze, Savinho, and Nico Paz are also on their wishlist to strengthen the squad before the end of this transfer window.

Buonanotte is a technically gifted left-footed creative midfielder but is also comfortable on the right flank. West Ham are seemingly looking for a new attacker as a potential replacement for Mohammed Kudus, who has joined Spurs.

On the other hand, Tottenham have qualified for the Champions League by winning the Europa League last campaign, and Thomas Frank is seemingly planning to add proper depth to the squad to perform well in every tournament this season.

They have been working on a deal to sign Savinho from Manchester City and Eze from Crystal Palace; still, they are contemplating making a move for Buonanotte.

The South American is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to reach the top. Therefore, he would be a shrewd acquisition for West Ham or Tottenham should either club eventually manage to secure his service before the 1st September deadline.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have submitted an opening £43m to sign Manchester City forward Savinho, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Since appointing Thomas Frank as the new manager, the Lilywhites have signed Mohammed Kudus to bolster the wide areas. Moreover, they have signed João Palhinha from Bayern Munich, but he has joined on a season-long deal with an option to make the move permanent next summer.

Apart from that, they have signed Mathys Tel permanently following his six-month loan stint last term. Now, following Son Heung-min’s departure, Tottenham are looking to replace the South Korean.

It appears Spurs are targeting an audacious swoop on Manchester City as Romano claims talks are underway over a shock deal to take Savinho to North London this summer.

The transfer expert claims that Tottenham have also submitted their opening proposal worth £43m [€50m]. However, City are holding out for more so Spurs will have to dig a little deeper if they want to get a deal done.

Romano claims that Savinho is ‘keen’ on the move to Tottenham and City are open to selling if their valuation if met.

Savinho to Tottenham

After joining the Citizens last summer, the 21-year-old showcased glimpses of his qualities last term, scoring three times and registering 11 assists across all competitions.

He is comfortable playing on either flank and is a highly talented player. Therefore, he would be a great coup for Spurs with a view to the long-term future if they purchase him.

Tottenham currently have Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson, Kudus, and Dejan Kulusevski as options for the wide forward position. Moreover, Tel and Richarlison can provide cover in this position if needed.

Bryan Gil and Manor Solomon are also at the club, but they left on loan last summer and might also leave before the end of this transfer window.

On paper, Tottenham are looking well-numbered on the flanks, but Frank seemingly considers he needs to upgrade this position to find success next season.

Tottenham ‘advancing’ to hijack deal to sign Harvey Elliott - football-talk.co.uk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ‘advancing’ on a deal to hijack RB Leipzig’s move to sign Harvey Elliott, as per Football Transfers.

Having struggled to find regular game time under Arne Slot last term, speculation surrounding the 22-year-old’s future has been emerging in this transfer window.

It has recently been reported that the German side have opened talks with Liverpool over a deal to sign the youngster as a potential replacement for Xavi Simons, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.

However, Football Transfers report that Tottenham are also keen on purchasing him and are progressing in talks to seal the deal ahead of Leipzig.

The Lilywhites’ need to reinforce the No.10 position has increased following James Maddison’s serious knee issue, but they have been working on Elliott’s deal before the former Leicester star’s issue.

Thomas Frank has held direct talks with the player to persuade him to join, and he is ‘keen’ on leaving Anfield to find regular game time. The Reds are even ready to cash-in on him for a fee of around £40m, but want to add a buyback clause.

Tottenham are open to accepting the Merseyside club’s demands, so they are ‘advancing’ on a deal to sign the Englishman.

Elliott to Tottenham

Elliott only made three starts in the Premier League and Champions League last campaign. But he was an integral part of the England national team’s U21 European Championship success earlier this summer, scoring five goals in six matches.

He even scored against Athletic Club in a pre-season friendly for Liverpool. He is comfortable playing in the CAM role and on the right flank. Moreover, he is capable of providing cover in the box-to-box role in a midfield three.

Elliott was a squad player under Jurgen Klopp and made a significant impact in games as a substitute. However, he never managed to win the trust of Slot.

The Englishman is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to reach the top. Therefore, he would be a great coup for Tottenham should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually opt to secure his service before the end of this transfer window.
