The German saw his side suffer a third defeat in five matches as Roma eased to a 2-0 Europa League victory at Ibrox. Rangers remain bottom of the standings and are one of only two teams – alongside 35th-placed Nice – to have failed to win any of their first four fixtures.

The loss to Roma came on the back of the Hampden heartache against Celtic as Rohl missed out on a place in the Premier Sports Cup final. A trip to face Dundee this weekend is a must-win for a side that are 14 points adrift of league leaders Hearts.

Moore impressed off the bench in the Old Firm loss and was handed a start at Ibrox. At 18, life in Glasgow is proving to be a harsh learning environment. It is one that the on-loan Tottenham Hotspur forward is enjoying, though, as he looks to raise his own levels in the coming weeks.

“It is still early on the season as a team as well,” Moore said. “Personally, I've learnt so much about the team.

“We can change things, we can go and start picking up points and build some momentum. That's what we need to do, that's what I'm here to do.

"I need to start helping the team to win with more goals and assists. I think in my play I have been a bit better, but I need to start showing that in my numbers as well.

“I knew that it was going to be big pressure. I think that's why I chose it. I didn't come up here not knowing that. I didn't think it wasn’t going to be that way. I didn't think it was going to be easy for me. So, yeah, I'm prepared to go through with this.

“We need to start picking up points and building momentum. We can't write it off now. We've got enough quality in the team and enough good players to start winning.

We need to keep winning. That's all for now. We need to start building game by game. It starts on the weekend.”

The Ibrox club are favourites to sign the youthful Tottenham Hotspur forward, 17, on loan for the season ahead. Moore is said to be keen on the move to Scotland despite interest from the English Championship.

Spurs boss Frank has now broken his silence on the situation and admits it would be beneficial to get the winger out on loan and playing games, if they can find the right opportunity.

Speaking at a press conference during the pre-season trip to Hong Kong, the Dane was asked how important it is to get Moore playing games.

"It is very important," he said. "Mikey is a big talent.

"I’m really excited about his future here at Tottenham.

"I think for all players but especially younger players they need consistent first-team football into their bodies.

"I think if we can find the right option we will do that."

Boss Russell Martin remains in the market for attacking reinforcements following the arrival of Djeidi Gassama earlier this month.

And the Rangers Review understands Moore is keen to take up the challenge at Ibrox but there will be no option or obligation to buy the player outright. [[Rangers]] faced competition from the Championship to land the 17-year-old on a deal until the end of the season.

Moore became the youngest player to make a debut for Spurs when he came off the bench in a defeat to Manchester City last May. He started the loss to Crystal Palace five months later and he became England's youngest-ever scorer in major European competition, eclipsing the record held by Jimmy Greaves, when he scored against Elfsborg in January.

Moore will be allowed to leave Thomas Frank's squad this term in order to gain first team experience. And Rangers are firmly in the race to secure his signature as work continues to add strength and depth to Martin's ranks.

[[Rangers]] rounded off their summer schedule with a comeback draw against Middlesbrough on Saturday. Danilo and Findlay Curtis were on target as Martin handed some of his fringe players a run-out ahead of their Panathinaikos showdown.

Defender Robin Propper completed his return to FC Twente earlier in the day. And Martin expects further departures in the coming weeks after the likes of Ben Davies, Ridvan Yilmaz and Jose Cifuentes were told that they were surplus to requirements this term.

"I think we have interest in a fair few of the players, but as and when they go, I don't know," Martin said. "I just wait for Kevin to tell me what's going on. And yeah, whilst they're here, they'll be treated with care and respect and professionalism.

"And it might not always be on the terms they want or like, but I think if we're honest with each other and we respect each other and they respect the group, there's not going to be a problem."

Campbell has been working at RB Leipzig for the past year-and-a-half but now makes the move back to the UK with Premier League giants Spurs.

He previously worked at Auchenhowie for over three years as Gers under-18s' Professional Phase Coach, responsible for professional development programme for young players.

He landed the job at the Light Blues after spells with Aberdeen and the Right to Dream Academy.

In February last year, Campbell took the decision to leave after the opportunity to work at RB Leipzig came up. In Germany, he has performed the role of Head of Player Development as he aided players with the transition of moving from youth level into first team football.

He will now work with the first team at Tottenham, who announced the full backroom staff of Frank this evening.

The Scot's new title is First Team Individual Development Coach.

As he left Rangers last year, Campbell signed out with an emotional message.

He wrote on social media: "Privileged to have spent 3.5 years at RFC Youth working with some brilliant people on & off the pitch.

"An incredible opportunity that I never took for granted, from watching academy lads play for Rangers & forging careers in the game to winning the U18 League & Scottish Youth Cup.

"Overwhelmed by the messages I’ve received from players, parents and staff which have all been greatly appreciated."
