Description

Mikey Moore wouldn’t be able to play for Tottenham Hotspur this season if he were recalled from Rangers.

Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold highlights that Spurs can’t bring back loan players to play in the current campaign, as they can’t register them until the upcoming transfer window.

With the forward moving to Ibrox on loan last summer, the North London outfit de-registered him.

If Tottenham do recall someone like the 18-year-old from the Govan side, he will be able to train with the first team, but won’t be eligible to play matches under Roberto De Zerbi.

Danny Rohl needs Moore at the Glaswegian outfit for the final four matches and it wouldn’t make any difference for Spurs to recall him, as fans in N17 grow increasingly concerned about their team’s injury crisis.

The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.

Rangers have Mikey Moore summer transfer priority

Rohl wants Moore back at the Gers in the summer and it isn’t surprising to see them discussing options with Tottenham.

In all likelihood, the young attacker will return to Spurs to stake a claim in the starting lineup if they are relegated from the Premier League this season.

If the North London club do manage to survive the drop, there may be a greater appetite within the N17 hierarchy to discuss the forward’s permanent exit to Ibrox.

Moore won the Glaswegian outfit’s Young Player of the Year award recently and supporters in G51 will surely be delighted if he returns for the 2026-27 campaign.

Mikey Moore difference clearly evident at Ibrox

Moore wasn’t fit enough to start against Motherwell, but when he came on at the break, the youngster showed Rangers fans what they were missing.

The Tottenham loanee played a pivotal role in helping the Gers equalise after being two goals down at the break, but Jens Berthel Askou’s team eventually scored a late winner.

Despite the heartbreak, the winger showed that he’s the difference-maker at the Light Blues and it would make sense for them to get a deal over the line for him in the coming months.

Even if Moore can’t lead the Glaswegian outfit to the title this season, he is the type of player Rohl can build his team around.

Rangers fans to cheer on Tottenham as Mikey Moore return complicated by relegation - Ibrox News
Description

Rangers will hope Tottenham Hotspur survive Premier League relegation to sanction another move for Mikey Moore in the upcoming transfer window.

According to The Scottish Sun on 23 April, the North London outfit’s precarious position at the bottom of the English top-flight table complicates the 18-year-old’s future.

The news outlet reports that while Spurs are aware of the Light Blues’ desire to keep the young forward, who also wants to stay at Ibrox, a lot will depend on their position at the end of the season.

If Tottenham are relegated, the England Under-19 international will likely return to North London, with several players probably not keen on playing in the EFL Championship.

Moore’s continuity at Ibrox would ensure stability up front for the Glaswegian outfit and fans in G51 will undoubtedly be cheering for Spurs to maintain their top-flight status with five games to go.

Mikey Moore exit to leave Danny Rohl with dilemma at Rangers

Danny Rohl wants Moore to stay at the Gers beyond this season, but the ball will be in Tottenham’s court in the summer.

The German manager has heavily relied on the Spurs loanee to provide creativity up top for the Light Blues, with most of the other players failing to live up to expectations.

With the teenager becoming a talisman for the Glaswegian outfit, the recruitment department will surely have a tough time finding a replacement for him in the summer.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss doesn’t have many quality options to count on in attack and he will be left with a glaring void in case of Moore’s departure.

Andrew Cavenagh to shift focus away from Andreas Skov Olsen deal

Andreas Skov Olsen joined Rangers on loan from VfL Wolfsburg in the winter transfer window and the deal includes an £8.6million option to buy him in the summer.

It’s clear that Andrew Cavenagh has more money to spend at the Gers and he should shift his focus to pulling off a deal for Moore.

Instead of wasting resources on Skov Olsen, who has failed to live up to expectations at the Light Blues, the Tottenham loanee should be their priority.

The American owners have made some decent decisions recently after some major blunders to start their tenure and they will surely see the long-term value in signing someone like Moore.

Description

Rangers loanee Mikey Moore has continued to keep tabs on Tottenham this campaign.

The England under-19 international completed a switch to Ibrox in the summer and has batted off original frustration around his signature.

The teenager is now a massively important figure under Danny Rohl and has become a well-loved fan favourite in Govan.

His eight goal involvements have had a positive impact this campaign, but there is frustration creeping in as his loan spell edges closer towards its expiry.

Moore is destined to return to Tottenham in the summer, where he has now reached out after Callum Olusesi made his debut on Sunday.

Callum Olusesi makes Tottenham debut vs Liverpool

The Gers have certainly been delighted with what they’ve seen from their Spurs loanee this campaign.

Moore is arguably the brightest talent coming out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium right now, and Ibrox has been trusted to nurture him.

That faith has certainly paid off, even though the Englishman could have played first-team minutes in North London this campaign.

The Lilywhites have had a shocking season and are seriously facing the threat of relegation under interim boss Igor Tudor.

They did manage to snatch a point away to Liverpool on Sunday, but summed up their current state when Olusesi was brought on with 76 minutes played.

A Premier League debut at Anfield is no mean feat, and the 19-year-old has now received a positive message from Moore on social media to commemorate the moment.

Olusesi’s post reads, “God’s grace, Premier League debut,” and was met with a reply from the Rangers loanee that says, “My brother”.

The pair may soon be featuring together for Spurs, especially with Moore set to make his Tottenham return after his Ibrox stint.

Mikey Moore must focus on Rangers

It is certainly positive for the North London club that the winger is keeping tabs on his parent club, especially while they’re in such dire straits.

That won’t necessarily be echoed by the Light Blues if Moore can’t keep up his form until the end of the campaign.

He hasn’t scored or assisted in three and will be keen to change that, especially with the title race hotting up in the Scottish Premiership.

The forward last scored in the 2-2 draw with Livingston and has since gone without any sort of output against Celtic and St Mirren.

Moore will have one eye now on his future prospects at Tottenham, but may need to be reminded to keep his feet on the ground for the time being.

Rangers lure too big as eighth summer arrival at Ibrox possibly hours away - Ibrox News
Description

Rangers fans may have even more reasons to celebrate soon.

Following their 1-1 draw with Panathinaikos on Wednesday night (30 July), Russell Martin’s side booked their place in the next round of qualifying for the Champions League as 3-1 aggregate winners.

Despite Gers’ performance getting criticism from some onlookers, the Light Blues ultimately got the job done and are set to take on Viktoria Plzen in the next round.

The potential arrival of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Mikey Moore would give supporters at Ibrox yet another reason to celebrate, with the youngster on the verge of signing in G51.

Sky Sports pundit gives Moore to Rangers seal of approval

With Moore’s loan move set to be announced as soon as Thursday (31 July), Rangers will be eager to welcome the winger who could be in line to make his debut against Motherwell on the opening day of the season.

Moore had also attracted interest from West Brom among other Championship clubs; however, Rangers look to have successfully fought off any opposition for the 17-year-old’s signature.

Moore is set to be Martin’s eighth signing of the summer, alongside:

Lyall Cameron also technically joined the Old Firm outfit this summer, but was signed on a pre-contract agreement earlier this year.

Speaking to Football League World (31 July), Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman gave his thoughts on Moore’s move north of the border.

“So, West Bromwich Albion’s loss will be Rangers’ gain. I’m pretty confident that Moore will go to the SPFL and absolutely blitz it and do really, really well – very exciting player,” he said.

“From West Brom’s perspective, disappointed that they couldn’t manage to tempt him, or persuade him to join them in the Championship, for what hopefully will be a promotion push, but the lure of Rangers was too big, and I’m sure Moore will do well there.”

Moore an exciting addition for Martin

Moore is regarded as the finest prospect currently within Spurs’ academy, and considering West Brom manager Ryan Mason’s links to the North London outfit, Rangers have done well to seemingly get this deal over the line.

The teenager played his part in the Lilywhites’ Europa League triumph last season, and regular first-team football under Martin in Scotland will only improve the winger even more.

Mikey Moore’s stats in Spurs’ Europa League campaign:

Competition for places out wide will turn into a potential headache now for Martin, with Gassama scoring in both of his cameo appearances from the bench against Panathinaikos.

Rangers youngster Findlay Curtis has also impressed, particularly in the first leg of the tie against the Greek giants.
