Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks to sell another first-team star alongside Cristian Romero after a U-turn from Roberton De Zerbi, according to Caught Offside.
Spurs have been very busy in the transfer window so far with six new arrivals, including defenders Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke, while midfielders Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali both broke the club's transfer record, respectively, following their arrivals from West Ham and Newcastle.
But the club are now working on a number of outgoings to balance the squad, alongside their hunt for new forward options, and that has led to some talks being opened with a number of clubs.
Tottenham Open Talks Over Richarlison Exit
Cristian Romero is "100% certain" to leave the club this summer, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that talks are underway with Italian giants Inter Milan over a deal to take him to Serie A.
But it has now emerged that the club are also in talks with Juventus and Fenerbahce over a deal that would see forward Richarlison depart the club after four seasons in north London.
The Brazilian has entered the final year of his contract, and as a result is 'no longer considered to be untouchable', with manager De Zerbi open to his sale. Spurs have put a valuation of around £20m on the former Everton star, and talks are underway to find an agreement for his exit.
Juventus are currently pursuing a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani, who spent last season on loan at Spurs, but Richarlison is seen as an alternative option if they are unable to find an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.
Fenerbahce are also keen, but Richarlison would prefer to stay in England or a top European league rather than move to Turkey at this stage of his career. Spurs are willing to sell to the highest bidder, but with the 29-year-old having previously rejected interest from Saudi Arabia, he is unlikely to be forced to move somewhere that he isn't keen on.
Richarlison Time at Spurs Surely Over
Richarlison has had a long and prosperous Premier League career at Watford, Everton, and Spurs, but it does feel like his time in the top-flight is now coming to an end.
Tottenham have Dominic Solanke and Mathys Tel who are capable of playing through the middle already, and there is strong interest in bringing in a new number nine, with Junior Eli Kroupi a top target alongside Man City winger Savinho.
Those arrivals, or any other, would only see Richarlison drop down the pecking order even more, and it seems as though the right decision for everyone involved would be to find an agreement that sees him move on before the September 1st deadline.
