Pape Matar Sarr has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

According to Football Insider, Aston Villa are interested in signing the Senegal International, and they will have to pay £30 million to get the deal done. It remains to be seen whether the West Midlands club is willing to pay up.

Brentford are also keen on Sarr.

Villa could use Pape Matar Sarr

They need more quality and control in the middle of the park, especially after the departure of Youri Tielemans.

The Tottenham midfielder could prove to be an excellent long-term addition for them. He is a talented player with a bright future, and he could develop into a key player for the club. Sarr has also been linked with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality and potential. He could justify the investment for Aston Villa in the long-term. The West Midlands club won the UEFA Europa League last season, and they will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Sarr could be a handy option

They need a deeper squad with more quality. Sarr could make an immediate impact at the Premier League club. He’s well settled in English football, and Aston Villa should do everything in their power to get the deal done.

Tottenham have been very active in the market this summer, and they have already invested a lot of money in Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. They will not be able to accommodate the Senegal International in the starting line-up, and it makes sense for the club to sell him.

Sarr needs regular opportunities at this stage of his career to continue his development, and the move to Aston Villa would be ideal. He will add control, composure, and defensive cover to the team. Unai Emery could help him improve further and fulfil his potential.
