Son Heung-min’s future at Tottenham is looking increasingly uncertain.
After almost a decade in North London, it has been widely reported that Son could leave Tottenham.
Several clubs have been linked with a move for the South Korean. However, it has now been suggested that Levy could put principle over business when it comes to agreeing Son’s exit.
Levy could accept a reduced fee as part of a fair send-off for Son
As reported by The Times (17 June), Tottenham are prepared to sell Son this summer.
Tottenham are commercially contracted to have the 32-year-old play in a pre-season friendly against Newcastle United at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea (3 August).

However, an exit could still be sanctioned after the clash in South Korea.
There is interest from Saudi Arabia, while a move to Fenerbahçe and reunion with José Mourinho has also been reported as an option. A transfer to the Turkish club would likely produce fewer funds for Levy to reinvest at Tottenham.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Son could be allowed to leave for a reduced fee to a club of his choice after everything he’s done for Spurs.
“There are a couple of chains of thought here,” Wenham said.
“If Tottenham are going to generate a big fee for Son, he’ll need to join a club in the Saudi Pro League. However, the other chain of thought is that this is a player who cost just £22million.
“He has become a legend of the club, and what he’s contributed to Tottenham has far exceeded that outlay on him. Therefore, Levy could let him leave for a nominal fee.
“Tottenham have got maximum value out of Son, and if anybody deserves a fair send-off and a chance to leave for a lower fee after everything he has done, it is Son.”
Tottenham will find it difficult to replace Son

While Son struggled with fitness last season, he still produced 23 goal contributions in 46 appearances.
But as Paris Saint-Germain demonstrated by winning the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history without Mbappe, Spurs do not need to find a direct replacement for their skipper. All they need to do is tweak the system.
Thomas Frank’s recent appointment could not have come at a better time. Under a new manager and system, Tottenham have the opportunity to build something bigger and better without Son.
