Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is a transfer target for Tottenham as Daniel Levy aims to give Thomas Frank all the firepower he needs.

Semenyo, 25, had 11 goals and six assists in 37 games for the Cherries when they ended up ninth last season, their best finish in the Premier League.

Andoni Iraola’s side lost Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid for a record fee, and Milos Kerkez is set to join Liverpool.

Semenyo’s future is still uncertain, with Arsenal and Man United also interested in signing the winger.

Spurs will not pursue a deal for Semenyo

Tottenham would no doubt love to have Semenyo playing under Frank next season, but he will not come cheap.

MORE SPURS STORIES

According to The Athletic (June 20), Tottenham have made their interest known in the attacker, but are currently not pursuing the deal further due to Bournemouth’s £70m valuation.

Bournemouth signed Semenyo for £10.5m from Bristol City in 2023, signing a contract to keep him there until summer 2029.

Levy’s attitude to the deal sums up an unremarkable summer window, as Spurs have only completed the signing of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso.

Tel, 20, joined permanently following his loan spell from Bayern Munich for £30m.

Austrian centre-half Danso signed from RC Lens for £21m, which isn’t bad business given Micky van de Ven’s injury record.

The Lilywhites are keen on Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze to provide versatility in attack.

Eze, who scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final, has a release clause set at £68m.

With a Son Heung-min exit on the horizon, Levy needs to act quickly and capitalise on the market opportunities.

Levy needs Mbeumo to please Spurs fans

Thomas Frank wants a reunion with his former player, Bryan Mbeumo, and his side will battle Man United for him

The 25-year-old netted 20 goals for Brentford in the Premier League last year and will cost Tottenham £60m.

Levy needs to prove that he has an ambition for success at this club, and getting Mbeumo would achieve this.

The Cameroonian winger will solve Spurs’ problems in front of goal as their top scorer, Brennan Johnson, scored just 11.

The Europa League victory masked the flaws in the North London team and kept fans happy for a while.

Spurs need huge signings to prove they can rebound after narrowly escaping relegation in 2024/2025.

It is all well and good Tottenham showing interest in these players. Levy simply needs to put his money where his mouth is, or else he faces ridicule if Spurs miss out on all of these targets.
