Tottenham Hotspur will recall Mikey Moore this summer after Ibrox Noise sources confirmed the London giants’ new coach wants Mikey Moore to Spurs back from his Rangers loan.
With Spurs in the relegation zone and under threat of going down, Moore is about the only player from the club to have an impressive season.
De Zerbi’s big call on Moore
As such his stock with the board and management has risen, and with the 5-year contract of new coach Roberto De Zerbi still ringing loud in everyone’s ears, Spurs have plans to survive.
And De Zerbi is keen on Moore, given his outstanding 2026 especially.
Rangers are talking to Spurs to try to extend the loan, but De Zerbi wants all his best players at his disposal and wants to build something good for next season.
He sees Mikey Moore as a big part of that.
Rangers face uphill battle
Moore has shone in 2026, and at just 18-years old, is absolutely one for the future, but needed now.
He has proven he can delivery in a high-pressure situation for a high-demand club, and despite his own admission he loves Rangers, his priority remains to be a Premier League player.
If De Zerbi can avoid the drop, Spurs will rebuild this summer and Moore will be part of that. Moore has zero interest in playing in the Championship, and if Spurs do fall, he will do everything in his power to remain at Rangers.
But Tottenham want him back, De Zerbi rates him, and Rangers may have to make do with losing Moore to the PL.
Mikey Moore to Spurs is alas likely to materialise because De Zerbi already has his side winning again.
There’s still a few matches to go and they might just scrape out of the relegation battle.
Which far from ideal for Rangers fans who want to keep Moore.
