Danny Dyer is undoubtedly among the most famous fans of West Ham United. His ties to the Premier League club are well known as an east Londoner, and as father-in-law to the Hammers' captain Jarrod Bowen.

The prominent actor has been involved in several football-related films over the years, such as The Football Factory. Never one to pull a punch in interviews on all manner of subjects, Dyer has brutally named the one footballer he'd love to see drop into the Championship this season.

His beloved West Ham are currently embroiled in a relegation battle with Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur, while Wolves and Burnley look doomed. Of course, he hopes to see the Irons avoid the drop, but there's a player who has clearly irked Dyer in recent times.

Danny Dyer: 'It'd Be Lovely' to See Spurs Player Relegated

In a recent appearance on That Peter Crouch Podcast, the 48-year-old was asked who he thought would be the third team joining Wolves and Burnley in the second-tier of English football next season. When Tottenham, West Ham's London rivals, were mentioned, he claimed they'd be the ones relegated.

"Yeah, I do. I don't know where they get their points from. Unless they f*** this Tudor geezer off. I don't see what changes," Dyer emphatically stated. Not only is he sure Spurs will play in the Championship next term, but he's excited by the prospect of one of their players suffering the devastating blow.

Former West Ham player Mohammed Kudus left the Hammers to join Tottenham in the summer, something that Dyer hasn't forgotten. He told Peter Crouch.

"It would be lovely, because if Tottenham go down with Kudus. Kudus, who jumped ship, f***** us off in a heartbeat.

"See ya later mate, in the Championship. Do you want to come back? Throw him a little bone out. Do you fancy coming back? We might suffer it."

West Ham Backed to Secure Eight More Points

While the interview was recorded before Nuno Espirito's men picked up a vital point against second-placed Manchester City, Dyer was extremely confident in his team. The Hammers have already secured one of the eight points he thinks they'll get before the season ends.

Backing up his previous claim that Spurs would drop below them in the table, he added: "I can't see where they get their points from. I reckon we [West Ham] have got at least eight points in us."

If they are to get out of trouble, the east Londoners will be heavily reliant on his son-in-law scoring some big goals. Bowen has been the talisman at the London Stadium for several years now, and would likely attract interest from several clubs if West Ham do get relegated.
