Manchester City have now agreed an initial agreement to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye, who has been linked with a big move for much of the summer. The winger has been one of the Toffees' standout players, while he has also impressed for Senegal, representing his nation at the World Cup and the African Cup of Nations, with the latter seeing Senegal reach the final and win the competition before it was stripped from them.
Ndiaye has been productive for Everton since arriving from Marseille in 2024, scoring six times and providing three goals last season, while he scored nine goals in the previous season. He is now set to join City on a big-money deal, with Enzo Maresca's club set to spend big in the final day or so of this window. Tottenham were also linked with Ndiaye, but it is City who have won the race.

City are expected to be one of the biggest deadline day spenders, with Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez also being heavily linked with a record move to the Etihad Stadium, but that will not be an easy deal to pull off in the final hours of the window, keeping in mind the window closes at 11pm on Tuesday.

City have already committed huge fees to signing Ayyoub Bouaddi and Elliot Anderson this summer, with those two deals alone costing close to £200million. But City have also balanced their spending with the big-money departures of Rodri, Tijjan Reijnders, Savinho, James Trafford and Nico Gonzalez. But with plenty of talent departing the club, Maresca and co are now racing time to bring in new players.
But it does look as though Ndiaye will be wrapped up on time, with a full day still to go.
