Diego Simeone, as expected, did not show any sympathy towards Tottenham Hotspur amid Antonin Kinsky’s horror display.

Kinsky’s Champions League debut could not have gone any worse, with the Tottenham goalkeeper withdrawn after conceding three goals in 15 minutes.

The tie quickly got away from Igor Tudor and his side before it even really started in Madrid.

Fill in the blank: Tottenham should _____ Igor Tudor after losing 5-2 to Atletico Madrid…

However, Atletico manager Simeone has admitted he is not sympathetic towards the situation as it is not his problem.

What Diego Simeone said about Tottenham’s Antonin Kinsky nightmare

Club captain Cristian Romero appeared to demand Tudor replaced Kinsky following his dreadful opening 15 minutes.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper was responsible for two of the three goals he conceded, as he fluffed two clearances with his feet.

RIGHT or WRONG: Was Igor Tudor right to sub off Antonin Kinsky after just 17 minutes?

“No, I hadn’t seen that at a professional level,” Simeone said after the game.

“It’s not my problem, it’s theirs, their coach’s and the goalkeeper’s, and we’re focused on ourselves, not on someone else’s decision-making.”

Messages of support came from far and wide after the game for the Spurs goalkeeper, with David de Gea sending Kinsky his regards.

It is an incident that Spurs fans will feel could only happen to their club.

Simeone’s brutal assessment sums up Tottenham circus

The Argentine manager has plenty of experience in management now and even he has admitted he’s never seen anything like it.

Kinsky was withdrawn after just 17 minutes and was not even recognised by Tudor as he walked back to the dressing room.

Simeone’s words may be brutal, but they only highlight the mess currently in north London.

Tudor refused to comment on his job security at Tottenham having made it four losses from four games since being appointed as the interim manager.

Spurs face Liverpool at the weekend before the return leg against Atleti. It is difficult to see the Lilywhites making a dent against either side over the next two games.
