Tottenham Hotspur are heading towards relegation to the Championship and there is little out there at the moment that can stop them.
Spurs made it 11 games without a win - a new, unwanted Premier League record for the Lilywhites - with defeat to Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night.
Things got off to a good start with Dominic Solanke opening the scoring in the 34th minute - the first time they have led in a match since the 2-2 draw with Burnley on January 24.
But things turned sour quickly. Micky van de Ven saw red for pulling back Ismaila Sarr in the box with the Senegalese converting the resultant spot-kick in the 40th minute, before Jorgen Strand Larsen and another Sarr goal in first half injury-time put the game to bed before half-time.
Rumours are circulating that after just three games in charge, interim head coach Igor Tudor could be sacked, with no sign any of his methods are getting across to the beleaguered players.
That would be quite the admission of wrongdoing from the Tottenham hierarchy but it could be the only thing that could save Spurs from the ignominy of relegation to the Championship.
GIVEMESPORT takes a look at which managers could come in immediately to save Spurs' sinking ship.
Rumours Suggest A Trio Of Old Faces
With the rumours of Tudor being sacked come plenty about names who could replace him. And there were reports circulating even before the clash with Palace of three old faces being brought in to save the club.
Harry Redknapp has been manager of Tottenham before and openly admitted he would be happy to return when Thomas Frank was sacked.
But it would not be Redknapp on his own. It has been suggested that he would be brought in alongside another former Spurs manager in Tim Sherwood and former player Jermain Defoe, who has now completed his coaching badges and has done some work with the Spurs academy.
Redknapp is now 79 and has been out of management for almost ten years, while Sherwood has not been a manager for more than that, having left Aston Villa in 2015.
All three know the club inside out, however, and have the club at heart.
Club Legend Throws Hat In The Ring
The Spurs players do not look interested or up for the fight right now and that is a concern. Someone who knows the club, lilke those mentioned above, and can get them fighting for the shirt, could be the only option.
And there are other options in that regard, one who has openly admitted he would be happy to return.
Glenn Hoddle is a Spurs legend and both played and managed the club during his career. He is another who has been out of management for some time - 20 years to be exact - but he would bring a younger, newly-experienced manager with him in Robbie Keane.
Speaking on the Could It Be Magic FA Cup podcast, he said: Robbie [Keane]’s doing great as a young manager. So to have a steady springboard and someone experienced like myself would be a good formula, in many ways.
“I think it’d be a shrewd move to have somebody, whether it was me or somebody experienced with him."
Other Former Players Who Could Jump In
Looking away from those, there are some other former players who might be happy to do a job, and have more experience than all those mentioned above, bar perhaps Keane.
Ryan Mason has been there and done it before, taking on the interim role at Tottenham on two occasions already. He is out of work following his sacking as West Bromwich Albion head coach and would surely welcome a return to save the club he loves.
Then there's Jurgen Klinsmann, who has managed at the top level of international football and has admitted Tottenham is "in my heart". He is out of work and would no doubt be happy to jump in and rescue the club. After all, he was willing to do it before when Jose Mourinho was sacked.
The Manager Spurs Are Interested In For The Summer
There are two leading candidates to become Spurs head coach in the summer, GIVEMESPORT understands and one of them is available right now.
Mauricio Pochettino returning to the club he managed from 2014 to 2019 would be a popular choice for the fans, but there is another name who is well liked inside the corridors of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and that is Roberto De Zerbi.
The Italian left his role as Marseille boss just hours before Frank was sacked by Tottenham and is available now. Getting him could be difficult, given he wants to wait until the summer to assess his options - which could be plentiful - but if Spurs want him they could and perhaps should go and get him now.
