Mikey Moore struck as Rangers lost at Celtic Park to fall out of the title race.

The young attacker has performed admirably since he arrived on loan from Tottenham Hotspur with seven goals and three assists for the first-team under Russell Martin and then Danny Rohl.

Moore's consistency saw him awarded the club's Young Player of the Year as well as the PFA gong in the same category and it has had fans of the Ibrox outfit desperate to tie him down for a second stint.

Showings in derby day victories have also ensured his parent club Spurs sat up and took notice with former boss Thomas Frank keeping a close eye while current boss Roberto de Zerbi will likely also know about the 18-year-old.

De Zerbi, of course, has his own troubles to deal with right now in the form of a Premier League relegation scrap, but the media in England have done his research for him.

According to Football.London, Moore's most recent afternoon in Glasgow - despite a 3-1 loss to the Hoops - should be enough for the playmaker to potentially stake a claim for a spot in the Spurs first-team beyond this season.

Journalist Jake Stokes wrote in his latest column suggesting Moore for North London next term.

"Mikey Moore was at the heart of the action when Celtic stormed past Rangers in the Old Firm derby on Sunday afternoon," he wrote. "The Tottenham Hotspur loanee broke the deadlock inside the opening quarter of an hour, but, despite his best efforts, Danny Rohl's side couldn't hold onto the lead, conceding three without further reply.

"Moore will hope to lead Rangers back to winning ways on Wednesday evening, when they host Hibernian in the penultimate clash of the Scottish Premiership split phase.

"The Tottenham loanee has established himself as a key player in Rohl's side, staking a claim for a similar role under Roberto De Zerbi next season."
