Tottenham Hotspur have fallen short with their opening offer for Savinho, but a move to North London is still very much on the cards for the Manchester City star, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Since it first emerged a couple of days ago that Spurs are eyeing a move for Savinho, the transfer appears to be moving very quickly.
According to various sources, Tottenham are currently locked in talks with Manchester City over a surprise deal for Savinho, just a week before the Premier League season starts.
This morning, Spurs Web relayed a report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who revealed that Spurs and Man City are negotiating a deal worth €50m (£43.2m) for Savinho.
Savinho wants Tottenham move despite rejected offer
Fabrizio Romano took to social media today to reveal that Tottenham Hotspur’s opening £43m offer for the former Genoa man has been sent back by City. However, the journalist added that Spurs have not given up on the deal yet, with negotiations still ongoing between the two clubs.
Consequently, Romano revealed that Savinho is keen on completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he added that City will only do a deal on their terms.
Romano took to YouTube this evening and revealed some extra information on the transfer interest. Apparently, Savinho wants to play every game next season and feel like a very important player.
