Tottenham are scouring the market for a clinical striker to lead their attack next season.

It looks set to be a busy summer transfer window for Tottenham Hotspur as they look to improve their squad following an underwhelming couple of Premier League seasons. Roberto De Zerbi’s side narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the past campaign, and they are already working on bringing in reinforcements across different areas of the pitch.

Spurs have been proactive in the summer market already, agreeing deals to sign both Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively. They are also working on a deal to bring in Savinho from Manchester City. Alongside a winger, the Lilywhites also plan to bring in a centre-forward to address their goalscoring conundrum.

Randal Kolo Muani will head back to PSG this summer after his underwhelming loan spell in N17, while Dominic Solanke spent the majority of the 2025/26 campaign on the sidelines with injury. Richarlison proved a lot of people wrong by notching 12 goals in all competitions, but with him about to enter the final year of his contract, there is a big possibility that the club chiefs will cash him in this summer.

Fiorentina striker Moise Kean is being discussed internally by Tottenham

According to reliable Spurs insider Szyexcl on X, Fiorentina’s Moise Kean is one of the names on Tottenham manager De Zerbi’s list of striker targets. The Italian international is being discussed internally by the Tottenham bosses as they continue to assess their options in attack.

Moise Kean appeared to burst into life during the 2024/25 campaign, plundering 19 goals in 32 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina. The 26-year-old was expected to kick on and take his game to the next level in the following season. However, he struggled with consistency and injuries. This limited the Italian international to only eight goals in 26 league outings, as Fiorentina finished 15th in the table.

During his forgettable stint with Everton, Kean only managed four goals in 39 appearances. This, coupled with his numbers for La Viola during the past campaign, should serve as a big red flag to Tottenham. The North Londoners can do a lot better than sign an inconsistent and unreliable Kean to act as an understudy for Solanke. Not only that, the striker they must sign should look to push Solanke to his limits rather than just be content with a role as a squad player.

Kean does not fit any of the aforementioned criteria, and as a result, Spurs must drop their interest in the Fiorentina striker.
