Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to make a decision on whether Igor Tudor will remain in caretaker charge or not, following the sad death of his father this week.
The 47-year-old's job is surely under severe threat following Sunday's disastrous 3-0 defeat to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest, which has left Tottenham in genuine danger of going down to the Championship.
The performance and result against the Tricky Trees wasn't a one-off either, with Spurs only taking one point from the 15 available in the league since the Croat replaced Thomas Frank last month.
The north Londoners now have two-and-a-half weeks before the trip to Sunderland, where they will look to pick up their first Premier League win of 2026 - their previous one came against Crystal Palace at end of December.
The Tottenham decision-makers have time to make a change, if they feel it is needed, and for a potential new manager to come in and work with the players who have remained at Hotspur Way ahead of the visit to the Stadium of Light.
Tottenham Hold Talks Over Hiring Marco Silva
According to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have held internal talks in recent days over hiring Fulham manager Marco Silva.
With Spurs yet to decide on Tudor's short-term future, it's unclear whether the north Londoners would make a move for the Portuguese coach now if they did sack Tudor, or if he is purely seen as an option for the summer.
Roberto De Zerbi is another name on everyone's lips, and he is available now following his exit from Marseille this month. Convincing him to join for the final seven matches of the season is another thing though.
Silva has been a long-term contender for the Tottenham job, with the club also keen on him prior to appointing Thomas Frank.
The 48-year-old is currently on course to be a free agent in the summer, with no agreement yet reached on his contract that expires at the end of the season.
Silva Ready to Take Tottenham Job
Silva is one of the understated managers in the Premier League, but he continues to show that he is ready for an opportunity at a bigger club after what he has achieved previously at Everton, and especially now at Fulham.
The Portuguese coach has had the west London outfit picking up impressive results and punching above their weight in mid-table, with Calvin Bassey labelling him as 'one of the best managers in the Premier League'. But now he needs more funds to show he can take a club to the next level.
He would get that at Tottenham, should they remain in the top flight, and he has shown that he is savvy enough to consistently pick up results in the Premier League.
He may not be the most popular choice among the Tottenham fanbase at a time when they are being linked with Mauricio Pochettino and De Zerbi, and especially after the lack of success of Frank following his move from a similar-sized club in Brentford, but that shouldn't take anything away from his achievements.
After five years at Craven Cottage, Silva is ready to take on a job the size of the Tottenham one. Now it is up to them to decide if he is the right man for it.
