Heung-min Son has revealed that he has been extremely keen to do one thing ever since leaving Tottenham Hotspur back in the summer.

We are now a few months into the post-Son era at Tottenham, but many Spurs fans are still getting used to not having the effervescent forward at the club.

That appears to be the case inside the club as well, with Ben Davies admitting that it is a strange feeling not to see Son at the training ground.

Son has been dominating the MLS since his move across the pond, with the forward having 12 goal contributions in 10 matches for LAFC, but it is clear that a piece of his heart is still at N17.

Heung-min Son expresses desire for a proper Tottenham farewell

The 33-year-old got his goodbye in South Korea in the summer, with his move to LAFC being finalised during Tottenham’s pre-season tour to his home country.

Son thus never got a chance to say goodbye to the Spurs fans in London, and he admitted that he is looking forward to doing that very soon.

The former Spurs captain said (via Football.London): “I definitely think this is the right time to say, because at the time the transfer was going on and the last game was in Korea, obviously I will go back to London to see all the Spurs fans.

“I think I deserve to say goodbye in front of all of them, and also, they deserve to see me in a physical sense to say goodbye. It’s going to be a very emotional day as well, but I think I definitely can’t wait to go back to London and see all the Spurs fans.”

A potential loan move to Spurs is not on the cards for Son

With the MLS season ending at the start of December and the new campaign not starting until February of next year, some fans may be wondering if the Korean could potentially make a temporary return to Spurs this winter.

However, Football Asian reported two weeks ago that a loan move to Tottenham is simply not possible for Son this year, given his pre-season commitments.
