Tottenham’s stars made their mark during the October international break, with several key players impressing for their nations ahead of the Premier League’s return this weekend.

The second international break of the season is over, and attention now turns back to club football for Tottenham Hotspur.

Several Spurs stars were involved for their respective nations during the break, with some representing the senior squad and vying for a place in the World Cup, while others featured at the youth level.

A handful of Tottenham players impressed with goals and assists, while others gained valuable minutes, and here is a breakdown of each player’s performance.

Tottenham players shine on international duty

Seven goals were scored by Tottenham players during the break, with Wilson Odobert responsible for four of them as he starred for France’s Under-21 side.

Mathys Tel netted two goals for the French Under-21s as well, while Mohammed Kudus added one for Ghana, rounding off the seven-goal tally for Spurs players across the period.

Five players also registered assists, with Odobert, Kudus, Xavi Simons, Tel and Kevin Danso each contributing one for their respective nations.

In total, fifteen Tottenham players featured for their countries, while two did not play at all, as Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie were unused by Italy.

On the injury front, Ben Davies and Yves Bissouma were the only Spurs players to suffer knocks during the break.

Spurs turn focus to Aston Villa clash

With the international break now over, Tottenham’s focus quickly shifts back to the Premier League, where they face Aston Villa in their next league fixture.

Thomas Frank has been handed a major boost on the injury front, with Kolo Muani edging closer to full fitness after featuring for 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford.
