Radu Drăgușin’s agent has insisted his client does not want to leave Tottenham Hotspur, nor is he pushing to depart either.
Florin Manea has dismissed talk of an impending exit for the 24-year-old for now, insisting there is nothing going on behind the scenes at Spurs.
No transfer talk
Reports have linked Radu Drăgușin with a move away from Tottenham regardless of what happens this season.
The belief is that the Romanian defender is on a list of players Tottenham want to move on this summer. A huge rebuild is being planned at Spurs, regardless of whether they’re relegated or not.
The defender, who has struggled to impress since joining the club in 2024, is reportedly on that list. That’s even if Cristian Romero and Micky van der Ven were to move on as well.
Florin Manea, though, says all transfer talk is off the table for now. His client is simply focused on keeping Tottenham in the Premier League.
“Radu didn’t ask me for anything,” he insisted to Digi Sport.
“I said we won’t talk until the end of the championship; he’s focused on saving Tottenham. I also talked to him last night, we have time, no one is rushing us for now. If someone calls me, you’ll realise I’m talking, but I haven’t been contacted, I’m telling you the truth.”
Italy interest
Those reports linking Radu Drăgușin with an exit have also suggested that clubs in Italy would be keen. Juventus and Fiorentina have been named specifically as suitors.
But Manea is playing that down as well. He insists that there hasn’t been any contact whatsoever for the Tottenham defender.
“As I said, his priority now is saving Tottenham. I haven’t talked to Fiorentina, Juventus or even Tottenham. I’ll arrive in England next week, I’ll meet with Radu and we’ll see,” he added.
A return to Italy would make sense, though. It’s where Drăgușin impressed previously and, where he looked most comfortable. Another Premier League move seems unlikely given his experience with Tottenham.
But all that, it seems, is for the future. For now, his agent is insistent that transfer talk is off the table.
