Jamie O’Hara has pointed towards Tottenham’s attack after an embarrassing loss to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Tottenham lost 1-0 at home to Chelsea on Saturday, as Thomas Frank continues to come under fire.

There has been a lot of discontent recently at N17, with Guglielmo Vicario receiving backlash from Tottenham fans, and Frank’s relationship with players being scrutinised.

Now, with tensions growing, former Spurs man O’Hara has pointed towards the Lilywhites’ use of £180m as being a “disgrace” in recent times.

Against Chelsea, Tottenham failed to penetrate the Blues’ defence and only accumulated a mere 0.10 expected goals (xG), according to Sofascore.

However, attacking issues haven’t only been prevalent against Chelsea, as Tottenham would be struggling without set-pieces.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 3 November, O’Hara alluded to Tottenham’s poor use of money as a big reason for their current struggles, including the signing of Tanguy Ndombele.

O’Hara said: “We’ve got a garbage team – going forward at home at the minute is absolutely terrible.

“We’ve spent £60m on Xavi Simons, £60m on Richarlison, £60m on Ndombele.

“The money we spend on some players… our recruitment is an absolute disgrace.”

However, it may not be all doom and gloom for the Lilywhites, with Fabio Paratici set to steer their plans in the forthcoming January transfer window.

Tottenham’s transfer business will improve with Fabio Paratici

Richarlison’s time at Tottenham has been up and down, with periods of inconsistent form and moments of brilliance, while the jury is out on Xavi Simons.

Spurs fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see if the Dutchman can repay the hefty fee that the Lilywhites splashed on him.

Paratici officially returned to Tottenham as the Sporting Director in October, as Joe Lewis’ £100m cash injection could possibly aid the Italian’s pursuit of transfer targets.

In the past, the likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero were brought to N17 by Paratici, and there’s no reason why the latter can’t bring more gems to the club in January.
