Leeds United are in the middle of preparations for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, with a great deal of care put into how their attack force will line up.

Daniel Farke's side were not only the Championship winners but also its top scorers last term, by a clear 24-goal margin. However, the Premier League is a completely different challenge and without the correct reinforcements a newly-promoted side stands to fail the step up in class.

Already recruited upon the expiry of his contract at Bundesliga side Wolfsburg is centre forward Lukas Nmecha, though there may still be work to be done as last season's third-top scorer for Leeds, Manor Solomon, has officially returned to parent club Tottenham Hotspur following his loan.

Leeds Live analyses the latest headlines around Elland Road regarding the hunt for a striker.

Rodrigo Muniz battle

Leeds now reportedly face competition from top-flight rivals Spurs in an effort to sign the Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz from Fulham.

Reports coming out of Brazil last week, said the Whites had seen a £26m offer turned down by the Cottagers. Muniz has been situated in London since summer 2021 and since breaking into the Premier League team has made 97 appearances, scoring 26 times.

Now South American publication Bolavip, via TEAMtalk, would suggest that Spurs have launched a £32m attempt for the striker and have similarly been rejected. Muniz is believed to be a big part of Marco Silva's plans and won't be pried away easily.

Leeds Live says: It would be an ambitious move to steal a striker from a Premier League rival, so if Leeds are targeting Muniz their ambition can be credited. On the player himself, he can certainly become the focal point, the hold-up man of a team, but his record in front of goal could improve slightly. If Spurs are involved though and have Champions League football to offer then Farke and Co. just instantly face an uphill struggle.

Nikola Krstovic hope

Another striker Leeds have been linked with is US Lecce's Nikola Krstovic, though it may not be Elland Road that he desires.

Tutto Mercato report the Montenegrin's preference is to move to Serie A giants AS Roma and currently holds out hope that they will make a move over the summer. The 25-year-old scored 12 in 38 appearances in Italy last season.

For now he is holding off Leeds' advances as a result but it remains to be seen whether Roma will meet Lecce's €25m (£21m) demand. Stadio Olimpico chiefs also consider George Mikautadze of Lyon and Brighton's Evan Ferguson as possible targets.
