Manor Solomon's future continues to generate speculation amid rumours that a return to Leeds United could be on the cards.

Solomon played a key role in helping Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League last season. The 26-year-old scored 10 goals to help the Whites win the Championship, including a late winner to clinch the title on the final day against Plymouth Argyle.

Since that day, Solomon has returned to Tottenham Hotspur following his loan spell and has been in pre-season training for the north London outfit over the last couple of weeks. Despite this, there continue to be rumours about Solomon's future, which could see a return to Leeds in the weeks ahead.

Here, Leeds Live takes a look at the latest surrounding Manor Solomon's future amid rumours of a potential return to Elland Road.

Manor Solomon message

On Thursday, Solomon posted a message on social media amid continued rumours around his future.

The post on his Instagram story featured Solomon wearing a Tottenham kit and being wished a happy birthday by the official Spurs account. Solomon replied to the post with a message to his 300,000 followers.

"Another year [birthday cake emoji]. Thank you for your wishes. A small bump in the road, I will be ready to go again really soon [bicep emoji, football emoji]," wrote Solomon, referencing an injury he has picked up since his return to Spurs.

Leeds stance

LeedsLive understands that Tottenham are expected to assess Solomon during pre-season before a decision is made about the forward's future.

Spurs have a new manager at the helm with Thomas Frank, who will be expected to have a closer look at Solomon's performance and fitness levels before deciding whether or not to include the forward in his plans for next season.

It remains to be seen if Leeds will pursue a deal for Solomon, with a decision likely to be dependent on Tottenham's plans for the forward.

The Whites would certainly welcome the chance to sign the player, but he does want to make a go of it at Spurs.

Tottenham price tag

It was recently reported by TBR Football that Tottenham have set a £20million asking price for Solomon this summer.

The report went on to claim that Leeds would be willing to meet that price tag to sign Solomon on a permanent deal.

"I think there's a very good chance after a couple of games once we get into the start of the season and Solomon sees he’s not first choice at Spurs and involved - I think we could see him at Leeds," said the TBR Football journalist Graeme Bailey.

However, Solomon is also reported to be determined to impress Tottenham during pre-season training, indicating that a decision on the forward's future may not come until the end of the transfer window.
