The Inside Elland Road podcast team have cast their Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur predictions.
Leeds United return home this weekend when they host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
The Whites are winless in five Premier League matches and have failed to score in three, losing 2-0 at Bournemouth last time out. Spurs beat 10-man Crystal Palace in their most recent clash, their third top-flight win in a row.

Saturday’s lunchtime meeting was one of several topics discussed on this week’s Inside Elland Road podcast. YEP writers Lee Sobot and Kyle Newbould, plus returning host Chris O’Connor, have cast their match predictions...
Lee Sobot
“I'm torn between a 1-1 draw, another draw for Leeds, or a 1-0 victory. In the air of positivity for the first podcast, I'll go for a 1-0 Leeds win. Obviously when you look at form - it was the same with Bournemouth when you had a team coming in who’d won five in a row and you've got a Spurs team here who have won three - you've got basically three wins in a row vs no win in five.
“But Leeds are favourites, probably because they're at home, it's basically because of Elland Road. It's the sort of game at the start of the season, you would have gone into it really fancying Leeds. It's not like you can't fancy them now, I still think you can fancy them, but I think it's obviously going to be a much more difficult game because of the run that Spurs are on and the confidence that they'll feel coming to Elland Road.
“But I mean, we've talked throughout the whole podcast about Leeds' defence and hopefully they can have a return to a clean sheet. That's obviously their biggest strength at the moment. And on paper, so far this season it’s been nine games, nine goals. So a goal every game. On that basis, something like 1-0 Leeds would add up, wouldn't it?”
Lee’s prediction: Leeds 1-0 Tottenham (Dominic Calvert-Lewin)
Kyle Newbould
“Leeds are still unbeaten at home this season. The three games they've lost in all competitions have all been away from home. So if you want to look at it optimistically, you can say that, and you can say chances are they are going to have a very strong home record again this season.
“I think it's going to be another one of those games where it's just incredibly tight. I don't think it's going to be particularly pretty - sorry for anyone else that's going - but I think it's going to be incredibly tight, like so many games in the Premier League are, everything in that middle order from third or fourth down all the way down to 17th. It's incredibly, incredibly tight. It's fine margins.
“Leeds have been on the right side of some fine margins and they've been on the wrong side of some fine margins. I think it will be a really tight game. I think probably another draw. I don't think Leeds will lose, just because I think there is more context to be had around the Tottenham wins - they've not gone and beaten three really good teams and they're absolutely flying, there was context around all of those wins.”
Kyle’s prediction: Leeds 1-1 Tottenham (Tarik Muharemovic)
Chris O’Connor
“I think there's a way Leeds win this game. It's starting fast, putting pressure on them early, set-piece threat. I think we can maybe win 2-1, but expect Spurs to have periods where they control the ball really well. Those two midfielders we talked about [Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes] I think they signed both in the summer for more than Leeds probably spent since returning to the Premier League.
“If you're looking at how things should work, Spurs should be coming in and dominating given the money they've spent. But I actually think it’s going to be a really good game. And if we play to our strengths and ruffle some feathers, I think we can hopefully overturn that statistic on early starts.”
