Leeds United have shown that they are going to be a difficult proposition for any visiting Premier League team to Elland Road, having taken five points from three home matches, and they will be hopeful of frustrating their latest opponents, Tottenham Hotspur.

Daniel Farke’s side edged to a 1-0 success when hosting Everton in their league opener and they have since held Newcastle United and Bournemouth to draws, which adds some extra substance to their form.

Tottenham may be another rise in class for Leeds but they were in UEFA Champions League action on Tuesday, having shared the spoils 2-2 away at Bodo/Glimt, and that came on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Premier League basement boys Wolves.

An array of injuries are still playing havoc for Tottenham in the early stages of the season under Thomas Frank and, although they have lost only one of their first six league matches, there is no doubting that this is going to be a tricky test for them.

Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction

Best Bet: Draw @ 5/2

Leeds remain unbeaten in three home league games this season and, having held Newcastle and Bournemouth to draws, they should be confident of repeating the trick against Tottenham.

Spurs have drawn three of their last four matches in all competitions, having been held to 2-2 draws at Brighton and Bodo/Glimt either side of a 1-1 stalemate with Wolves.

Frank’s men needed an injury-time equaliser from Joao Palhinha to spare their blushes against a winless Wolves and a tougher test could well be in store at Elland Road, which should be packed to the rafters with a vocal home support.

Tottenham are still being hindered by injuries to a number of first-team players, with the absence of Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke proving especially costly.

Alternative Bet: Ethan Ampadu to be booked @ 11/4

Leeds’ Ethan Ampadu has returned from injury with three solid performances but the Welsh international was booked in the 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth last weekend and another card could follow against Spurs.

Ampadu committed three fouls against the Cherries, deployed back in his favoured midfield role, and Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur would pose plenty of problems for him in that area on Saturday.

In the Championship last season, Ampadu collected seven bookings in 29 appearances and he had committed five fouls across his last four Premier League games.

Both teams to score

Over 3 cards

Dominic Calvert-Lewin anytime goalscorer

Pays 5/1

This fixture tends to deliver goals, with both teams scoring in seven of their last nine meetings, and there have been goals at both ends in three of Tottenham’s last four starts.

It could also be a feisty affair, with four or more cards shown. There have been nine bookings across Tottenham’s last two fixtures and Leeds are likely to be under plenty of pressure.

Finally, it could be worth taking a chance on a fully fit Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubling his tally for the season. The former Everton man was on target in the 3-1 win at Wolves and he had three shots on target in the recent 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
