Tottenham have received their fixture list for the 2025-26 Premier League season.
While Spurs’ opening 10 matches look reasonably kind, one decision is likely to annoy senior figures at the club.
And it wouldn’t be surprising if Daniel Levy was already on the phone to the Premier League to complain.
Spurs will be angry at date of opening fixture
As things stand, Tottenham will kick off their Premier League campaign with a home fixture against Burnley on Saturday, 16 August at 3pm
The match hasn’t been selected to be broadcast live on Sky Sports or TNT Sports, and that will not change.

But Spurs chiefs will be fuming with the Premier League, as this scheduling leaves them with less than 72 hours to recover from the UEFA Super Cup final, which takes place on Wednesday, 13 August.
Paris Saint-Germain will battle Tottenham for the trophy in Udine, Italy, on that day.
It is common practice for the European leagues to alter their fixture lists to support teams playing in Europe, provided it doesn’t provide a disadvantage to another of their teams.
Indeed, in May, Tottenham had a league fixture against Aston Villa rearranged so they had more time to prepare for the Europa League final.
And Levy will fully be expecting similar treatment from the Premier League with regards to this fixture as well, hopefully seeing it pushed to the Sunday.
Tottenham have an easy run of fixtures to kick off the Premier League
All in all, Tottenham fans will be happy with their Premier League schedule.
Their first ten fixtures include winnable home games against Burnley, Bournemouth and Wolves. Meanwhile, the Lilywhites will be hoping to get all three points from early visits to the likes of West Ham, Leeds and Everton too.
The pressure will be on Thomas Frank to deliver a healthy helping of points from these first ten games, as the difficulty will ramp up from November onwards.
Tottenham will likely have a new-look squad by the time the opening Premier League fixtures rolls around.
The club will receive a healthy financial injection as a reward for reaching the Champions League, with the majority of that set to be spent on new players.
Frank will be hoping to get some business done early, so his signings have as much time as possible to settle into their new surroundings.
