Luca Williams-Barnett was in action once again as England’s youngsters beat South Korea 2-0 in the round of 32 at the Under-17 World Cup in Qatar on Saturday afternoon.
The attacking midfielder started and played 83 minutes before being withdrawn, with club team-mate Malachi Hardy watching on as an unused substitute.
Luca went close in the early stages before an own goal from Jung Hui-Seop and a well-taken strike from Reigan Heskey put the Young Lions in control by the 35-minute mark.
Always a lively influence whenever he got on the ball, Luca tried one of his trademark shots from half-way in the second period, but was agonisingly wide with his audacious low attempt.
England will now face Austria in the last 16 on Tuesday (kick-off 3.45pm UK).
