Lucas Moura has spoken openly about the connection he shared with Harry Kane during their time together at Tottenham, revealing a deep admiration for the England striker that went beyond the pitch.
Harry Kane’s time at Tottenham Hotspur will always be remembered fondly, with the forward putting his name in Spurs’ history by becoming Tottenham’s record goalscorer.
While the forward failed to deliver silverware in the years he spent in north London, he has now gone on to win his first major trophy with Bayern Munich, after the Bundesliga outfit secured the title last week.
Several former Tottenham players were quick to send congratulatory messages to Kane, and amongst them was Lucas Moura. The Brazilian commented under Kane’s post on Instagram: “You deserve it brother. Congrats! Very happy for you.”

Now, in a recent interview with the official Tottenham Hotspur website, the former Spurs winger was once again quick to hand out praise to the Englishman, stating that he is his biggest fan and that Kane is one of the best players in the world.
When asked how much he enjoyed playing in the same team as Harry Kane, Moura said: “I loved playing with Harry, first of all he is a great guy and an amazing player.
“I always said I was his biggest fan, for me he is one of the best in the world. It was easy playing with him because he was very clever and I understood the way he liked to play, to receive the ball.

“He is the kind of player that, when he was on the pitch, the feeling was that we could beat any team. The way that he plays is incredible and I enjoyed playing alongside him.”

Lucas Moura and Harry Kane went on to share memorable moments at Tottenham, with the pair playing key roles in the club’s run to the UEFA Champions League final back in 2019.
Moura himself was instrumental in that unforgettable European journey, with his stunning semi-final hat-trick against Ajax in Amsterdam proving to be the defining moment of Spurs’ UCL campaign that year.
Kane, while sidelined for most of that run due to injury, has already cemented his place as one of the Premier League’s finest forwards.
