Luka Vuskovic has just achieved an eye-catching feat during his loan spell away from Tottenham.

The Croatian finally arrived in N17 in the summer, after turning 18 back in February, and he has wasted no time in making a name for himself with the Lilywhites.

Vuskovic made his Tottenham debut in the friendly against Reading at the start of the pre-season, and immediately wowed supporters with a goal and an assist within 10 minutes of his introduction.

The centre-back has moved on loan to Hamburg for the campaign, and Thomas Frank will be delighted when he hears about the youngster’s latest exploits in Germany.

Tottenham will be tracking Vuskovic closely in the coming months, as they will surely be hoping that this is his final loan spell before breaking into the first-team squad on a permanent basis.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The defender has made great strides in his development already, and the early signs from his stint in the Bundesliga are extremely positive.

Hamburg are one of the most historic clubs in German football, and had famously played in all 55 seasons since the Bundesliga’s formation, until they were relegated in 2017/18.

They are back in the top flight this time around, and Vuskovic has just written his name into club folklore with his goal in the 2-1 win over Heidenheim on Saturday.

The Spurs starlet opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, as he lashed home his side’s first Bundesliga goal for 2,688 days, according to the Hamburger Morgenpost.

The Hamburg-based outlet wrote that the goal “is sure of a place of honour in the HSV annals.”

Luka Vuskovic may be a future Tottenham captain

Vuskovic has a huge future at Tottenham, and they will certainly be pleased with what they are seeing in Hamburg so far.

The defender has already been praised for his leadership by HSV boss Merlin Polzin, and that will be a hugely positive sign for the Lilywhites in the long term, given his tender age at present.

Cristian Romero is currently club captain in N17, but it may only be a few years before Vuskovic is considered for the role, providing that he ultimately adapts well to the Premier League.

The youngster is clearly mature beyond his years, and that could easily see him earmarked for a major leadership role at Spurs later on in his career.
