Rangers forward Mikey Moore has recently spoken out about his future at Tottenham, and it was a worrying blow for the Glasgow club if they are hoping to secure his signature on a permanent deal.
Although Moore endured a difficult start to life at Ibrox, he's starting to show why he's so highly rated at Tottenham over the last few months.
The 18-year-old has provided eight goals and assists combined in the league from just 19 starts, which is an incredibly impressive return for a player who is still so young.
If Rangers can secure the signature of Moore in the summer transfer window on a permanent deal, they will undoubtedly be keen on doing so, considering the impact he's already making at 18.
Moore Makes Tottenham Admission
In a disappointing blow for Rangers, Moore has opened up about wanting to make an impact at Tottenham, suggesting that he would 'love' to take the opportunity to break into the side.
“Whether it’s next year or the year after, I want to break in and make an impact.
“I helped out in some Premier League games and gave a good account of myself and in others I didn’t show enough. But now I’m at a point where I can make an impact. If that opportunity comes, I would love to get a hold of it.”
It appears that Moore is keen to return to Tottenham after his loan spell and make an impact at Premier League level, rather than securing a permanent switch to Ibrox.
It's a worrying interview for Rangers, who are reportedly desperate to keep him at the club next season and are even in talks to sign him on a permanent deal.
Another Loan Should be Rangers' Priority
Signing Moore on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window is going to be very difficult for Rangers, and by the sounds of it, he might not be overly keen on the idea.
If the Glasgow giants can secure another loan deal for Moore next season, if he's not going to be in the plans of Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham for now, then that could be the ideal solution.
After a year of gaining experience in the Scottish Premiership, the 18-year-old could go to another level next term, and he could be crucial in Rangers' efforts to win the title.
