This month sees the first round of FIFA Women’s World play-offs and a large number of our players will be involved as nations look to book their place at next summer’s tournament in Brazil.
Olivia Holdt’s Denmark, Alice Sombath’s France and Toko Koga’s Japan have already secured their spot in the Finals for the showpiece event in south America next year and will take part in friendlies over the next couple of weeks.
Numerous Academy players will also be on duty for their respective nations this month, including a first senior call-up for Heidi Hills with Wales, where she will be involved as a training player as part of preparations for their FIFA Women’s World Cup play-off double-header against Albania.
Young midfielder Rania Oukriss has received her maiden call-up for England Under-19s for their three fixtures in the UEFA U19 European qualifying round.
