Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on Savinho after Pep Guardiola made a firm decision on the Brazilian winger’s future.
While Spurs are expected to get a deal for Eberechi Eze over the line, frustratingly for Tottenham fans, the club’s pursuit of Savinho appears to be collapsing.
Until the weekend, it was being reported that Tottenham are continuing to push for Savinho despite having their opening offer turned down by Man City.
However, on Monday, journalist Guillem Balague claimed that Man City had decided against selling Savinho this summer.
This news has now been backed up by talkSPORT, who revealed that it is Pep Guardiola who has ‘closed the door’ on an exit for Savinho.
The report says that the player was keen on making a switch to Tottenham Hotspur after just one season at the Etihad Stadium.
Spurs were willing to pay a club-record fee for the 21-year-old, but Guardiola has decided that he does not want to lose Savinho this summer.
